Lovely and relaxing place to stay

We loved staying here! The kids could spread out, so much room inside the house and out in the yard. The location was perfect for the beach and bike rides too. ❤️

Highly recommended!

Mark and Marie’s place is great for groups. It is a well maintained property well stocked with amenities for a short or long stay. Glenelg is a short drive away and so is Mclaren vale. Highly recommend it!

Relaxation personified

Everything was magnificent. From arrival and check-in, to the cleanliness, to the very welcoming hosts. I cannot fault "Avonlea". The property was presented professionally. Close to everything you will need. It really was a very relaxing time, in a very relaxing environment.

Great location for a getaway

A cute two story property within walking distance of the beach, Avonlea is a great location to be based for exploring Aldinga and surrounds such as Willunga and McLaren Vale. It has a beautifully maintained backyard with lawn and garden where we were able to enjoy drinks and nibbles in the afternoon. The only thing missing was an outdoor table (or a small table that could be taken outdoors) but luckily we had picnic rugs on hand. Avonlea is well furnished (though we did miss there not being any mirrors in the bedrooms) and the kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend Avonlea for a weekend getaway or longer stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Avonlea in Aldinga Beach. It is a gorgeous four bedroom, two bathroom home with the sweetest romantic cottage vibes. The house is beautifully decorated and instantly feels warm and inviting. We had two families of four staying together and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. We loved being able to sit and eat together at the dining table, which made it feel like a real home away from home. The backyard is lovely and a great size, with comfortable outdoor furniture, and the kids had plenty of room to play when we were not out exploring the beautiful local beaches. The home was spotless on arrival and the thoughtful touches like bread and milk were so appreciated, especially as we arrived on a public holiday. Mark and Marie’s communication was absolutely brilliant from start to finish and we could not fault them in any way. This is a beautiful home that we feel very lucky to have stayed in and we have made some very fond memories here. Thank you Mark and Marie. If we get the chance, we would absolutely love to come back in the future.

Family get together

We loved our stay here. The house was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need! We loved the personal touches such as the Christmas decorations and a box of chocolates in the fridge! Fantastic position, can't rate our stay high enough! We will be back. Thank you.

Property was as advertised, more beautifully furnished than expected, home away from home.

Everything was better than we could imagine, lots of oohs and ahhs regarding the furnishings and decor. Positioned perfectly for our visits to the wineries and the beach, sunset gorgeous. Close to plenty of cafes and restaurants. Property was clean, comfortable and with a beautiful garden. Six older ladies had a wonderful stay, thank you.
