The Beach Cottage on Shelly is a boutique coastal accommodation only minutes walk through spectacular bush tracks to pristine Shelly and Angels Beach.
The cottage boasts cathedral ceilings with open plan living giving a sense of spaciousness with the purr of the ocean in the background creating a relaxed you're on holiday feel. It has a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor door Weber BBQ, separate king bedroom, modern bathroom and laundry, comfortable lounge and dining areas with wrap around verandahs to entertain on or while away a lazy afternoon. You're spoilt for choice with numerous coffee and dining options within a 5 walk from your front door.

Fantastic beach cottage escape

Leanne and Jeff were fantastic hosts and their cottage has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The location is great, near the beach and some great little cafes. We will definitely be back if we get a chance!

Fabulous stay

We had a wonderful visit here, warmly greeted and very comfortable, the cottage had all we needed. The cottage is seperate and at the front of the property with its own car space. Full privacy with a cute deck area and beautifully stocked with everything we could need, even beach towels and a washing machine.Beautiful restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance too is a bonus.

Relaxing Beach Cottage

Perfection.

Perfect in every way. The cottage is beautifully designed and decorated making for a very comfortable and relaxed stay with everything you could possibly need. Great location only a 5 minute walk to Shelly Beach and a couple of lovely cafes. Very friendly hosts. Highly recommend. Five stars ++++.

Don’t waste time looking all around BALLINA-It’s all HERE!

31st July 2025. Trevor & Helen (South Australia) 5nights *1st stay of more to come*Just as photos and host, has cleverly described. Very hard to beat as a beautiful, romantic cottage with the most “AWESOME large bathroom” Many facilities with kitchen for “in cottage meals” or so many dining options even within short walks.Hosts house is nearby at rear of property, but in “no way” effecting total privacy and quietness. Netflix and large screen Samsung smart TV, is just one of the star extras.

Ballina

The property is perfectly located within 10 minutes to a walking track that goes well over 20 km, beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Our host Leanne ensured our comfort and needs were looked after. The house has everything you need to relax and get into holiday chill mode. It is immaculately clean, the bed is very comfortable and the shower has great water pressure. We would highly recommend this property

Great cottage at Shelly Beach

The cottage was a great size and was very comfortable for our short stay. We also felt it would be comfortable for a longer stay. The bed was king size and comfortable. Bathroom and laundry were well appointed, and super handy if you need to do a quick load of washing. The kitchen was spacious and the refrigerator was a great size. The deck outside was a nice place to sit and relax. This property is a short walk to Shelley Beach or Angel's Beach, and there are 2 cafes closeby, with another 5 mins further.

Absolute Bliss!

A beautiful luxury cottage exactly as the pictures depict. I had the most amazing relaxing time with everything I needed at my finger tips. Leanne and Jeff were amazingly welcoming and then pretty much left me to my peaceful solitude. Short walk to the Beach and located a short drive to the centre of town. It was just what I needed. Thank you to Leanne and Jeff for opening your beautiful relaxing and stylish home to me for the week. I will be returning. Merryl

Everything we wanted/needed

Well almost- a little less rain would have been nice. But it was a perfect place to spend a couple of chilly wet days cosied up watching a few movies. I’m sure there were lots of lovely walks nearby but we really needed rest and relaxation. The bed was super comfortable, bathroom beautifully designed, hideaway laundry a bonus, kitchen perfect in every way and the living area with two sofas was great for movie watching. Every time I thought ‘I wonder if there is a ….’ I looked and there it was. My husband is not very mobile and it was an excellent stay for him. Lovely hosts too!

Pleasant stay in Ballina

The cottage was very pleasant and extremely well equipped with everything you could need. It was a short walk to the beach and a good starting point for longer walks. Our hosts Leanne and Jeff were most welcoming, helpful and obliging making sure we had everything we needed. It was a very quiet location a short drive from the town.

Restorative haven

The cottage is a stunning place to stay, only minutes walk from beautiful Shelley Beach,walking tracks and scrumptious cafes. Leanne and Jeff are such wonderful hosts -respectful of privacy but warm and inviting. They have thought of everything! Check in was smooth and everything was just as you see in the photos. I can't recommend this property highly enough and I look forward to staying again. Thanks Leanne and Jeff, such a pleasure to meet you both.

Reality break

My partner and i had a lovely time, hiding away from the world, for a few days. The cottage was modern, yet cosy, and private. and well stocked with everything from a picnic hamper back pack, to take our lunch down to the beach, to a tourch for a midnight walk after a late bbq on the mini weber.

Stylish cottage close to the beach.

We were fortunate to have 2 nights at this stylish, elegant and tastefully appointed cottage. Everything you need and little more to ensure a relaxing stay. We had a lovely lunch at the Shelley Beach cafe which is a 10 minute stroll along the beach and also a long walk to Skenner head. The property is well located in East Ballina, in a lovely garden setting. We would stay again.
