We’re contacting pest control regarding the reported mouse droppings and following up with our cleaning team to ensure greater attention is given to detailed areas. We recently learned of the dryer issue from another guest, and service is scheduled for the earliest available appointment. The window hardware is an intentional safety precaution designed to help deter bears, which can attempt to enter structures in Alaska. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and are taking action to address them.

Since your stay, we’ve addressed the issues you mentioned, the lawn is now regularly maintained, and the deck has been rebuilt for improved safety and comfort. We appreciate guests sharing concerns, as this allows us to make improvements more proactively.Regarding wildlife, bears are a natural part of the Alaska experience in Eagle River. While we can’t control their presence, we do everything possible to keep the property safe by posting clear warnings inside the home and providing guidance through Evolve during spring and summer. We can confirm that the driveway was plowed the day before your arrival. - In regard to the heat, we can confirm that there were no found issues with the central heat. The home's heating system and the wood stove warms the home effectively and within a reasonable amount of time. However, we take our guest feedback seriously and have put a system in place to run the heat even when unoccupied to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere. - You are correct, unfortunately, the hot tub was out of service and to make up for the inconvenience, we offered you a partial refund. Regrettably, you chose to cut your stay short. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
