This cottage has had a complete makeover - built in 1900 this cottage just oozes that old Australian stone cottage charm - and you will love it !
Three bedrooms - 4 beds - commercially laundered linens - triple sheeted for your comfort ...
Stay warm and cosy with not one but two wood burning fireplaces - with plenty of wood for you to burn and enjoy ...
Reverse cycle air con in main loungeroom and in two of the three bedrooms - for that - I cant wait for the fire moment or its a little warm outside ! !

Quiet and Clean

Great place to stay. Love old historical building that have stood the tests of time. Very well matched with modern lifestyle needs like A/C and the like. Was a hot weekend when we were there so returning to the house each night was unreal. Great beds and ammenities.

Beautiful 1900s house in historic Rylstone, just a few minutes walk from the Main Street. Great attention to detail and thoughtfully presented. Loved the fire places and added extras.

Vale Cottage Review

It was our first time staying in Rylstone, and very glad to have chosen Vale Cottage. It was such a beautiful house, very cosy, loved the fireplaces, and especially enjoyed the firepit outside. Great location too, close to the main street.Would definitely recommend.

Wont stay there again

Overall lovley cottage.but was so hot.fans in bedroom not much good No tv reception due to faulty aerial if y have mobility problems i wouldent stay there as shower felt unsafe.no broom or mop to do floors.for price i paid y would think it been better

With over 50/52 5 star reviews in just over a year it is so lovely to be able to provide a great stay in a gorgeous stone cottage right in the heart of Rylstone … I’m so sorry this guest had troubles operating the air conditioning and TV - and didn’t let me know - I will review the instructions in the House Book and ensure they are clear - I’m always at the end of the phone and am more than happy to assist with anything! Some things you may need are in cupboards -my ‘Where Is Checklist’ in the house book is there to help find things - but still can’t find it - just call me ! I really look forward to hosting you soon ! Charlotte

Wonderful house, great location

Our family of 6 adults stayed at gorgeous Vale Cottage for 3 nights in July and loved it. The cottage was super clean, with beautiful bed linen, comfy beds and a great living room for lounging about. The house was easy to warm with a slow combustion fire (there is split system aircon as well, although we didn’t really need to use it), and a great country kitchen if, like us, you enjoy cooking. Nice touches, such as a coffee machine (with plenty of pods supplied) and a bottle of wine and local made produce to greet us were an added bonus. The cottage is well located being only a block or two from the Main Street, and there are plenty of lovely walks to take around the town, by the river and past historical buildings such as the old railway station and churches. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous weekend in Rylstone

Excellent place to base our Rylstone weekend, creature comforts of home and within a stones throw of the Main Street. Whisper quite except for the bird song - how beautiful! Definitely recommend. Great valley!
