Welcome to the Merry Moose Lake home. We have four seasons of fun here ! Your perfect centre for all the adventures the Shuswap offers. Whether it’s boating or paddling or fishing on the lake, or perhaps you are a golfer and would like to experience one of the world renowned golf courses in the area. All the adventures of Revelstoke just a 30 minute drive away. Or we have many wineries in the area for you to experience.

Perfect for our family get together. 7 adults and 2 dogs. Large front yard and large fenced back yard.The beach is a short walk and weather was great. Fully stocked kitchenware. Owners kept us in touch with any community notifications. Thank you!

Great End of Summer Holiday Stay

We had a fantastic stay at Brenda's beautiful home. Both the front and back yard were great for children with fun games provided. The house had everything required for a great stay from pantry items, comfy beds, lovey propane deck heater, paddle board, kayak, and close proximity to the lake.

Family Beach Vacation

The view of the house with the chairs set up out front looked so welcoming. We weren’t prepared for how impeccable the inside of the house was. We had six adults and four children, and the was so much room inside the house. Every bathroom was well stocked with all the necessities like plenty of towels and shower necessity’s; plus beach towels, blankets, extra pillows. The owners even provided inside and outside toys for the kids. The kitchen was a dream to prepare food in and for outside cooking, there’s a very nice bbq on the covered deck. The house is just a short walk to the beach and all your water toys like paddle boards and kayaks are provided as well. This house provided an amazing place for our family to call”home” for the week we were there.

Amazing

Our trip was perfect right up from the days leading up to the start of the trip. Right away communication from the hosts was fantastic and that continued right through the trip. They were helpful and so friendly. The house was one of the most well stocked places we have ever rented. The beds were all super comfortable. The walk to the nice sandy beach was only a couple minutes. Everyone we met in the area was super friendly and nice. The patio on the house was a perfect little oasis. I can’t say enough good things, it was definitely a perfect week!

THANK YOU!!

We were a group of 12, with six adults and six teens. This place was the perfect house for our group size. It was spacious, with many bathrooms, beds, a large balcony and a yard, clean and very near the white sandy beach. It had everything we needed, from pots, pans, utensils, herbs, spices, condiments, bbq grill, propane fire pit, bath towels and beach towels, and a bonus of two kayaks, two paddle boards, and other games for our family to use. Just too much to list. We just packed our clothes and away we went for our holidays. Brenda, is a fantastic host, very helpful, thoughtful and communicative. We thank you for all your help and for making our trip go very smoothly. We will be back next year and for a longer stay. I definitely recommend you and your home to other families. Perfection!

Our family of 12 humans & 2 furry friends enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Stewarts' home in Swansea Point. The house was exactly as described, spacious enough to accommodate us all, while providing more than ample space for our grandchildren to run & play & enjoy the myriad of outdoor sports equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed the covered deck, especially during our one rainy day. Everything we needed was there, from lots of beach towels, to the fully equipped kitchen & the bonus of 2 good sized refrigerators. Spices, condiments, storage containers, etc. etc. - we wanted for nothing! The house is a very easy short walk (1.5 blocks) to the beach; & provided 2 kayaks & 2 paddle boards as well as beach toys & a wagon to tote all we needed, made for an easy day at the beach. Brenda is an awesome host; her guest binder full of needed info, suggestions for day trips & clear instructions for using the appliances was greatly appreciated. She kept in touch with us by text, responded very quickly to any queries we posed, & welcomed us like family! Definitely recommend staying at the Stewarts' - we look forward to returning!

Mara Lake Marvel!

We arrived on a hot Saturday at Swansea Point Beach house hosted by the Stewarts. This cozy, well equipped home was perfect for our ten person family ranging in ages from 7 - 77! The five girls loved being off on their own in the downstairs where they had cozy bunk beds and lots of space to chatter and play! We adults, also enjoyed our air conditioned upstairs bedrooms, with an ensuite and main bathroom. Everything is bright and cheery and the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed for making meals for the 10 of us! The adults enjoyed eating and relaxing outside on the side deck when the heat permitted! It’s been an extremely hot week so when we came home from the “day at the lake” it could be hot in the kitchen, living room and dining areas where the ceiling fan tried its best to cool us down! We were wishing we were right on the lake but the house is a 5 minute walk to several small beaches and the boat launch is very handy! We definitely enjoyed our week at Mara Lake and have made some fun memories by being at the cozy, comfy, cute summer “Stewart” home! Brenda is a “top notch hostess” and creates a warm vibe and a very positive stay! Thanks for everything!

Awesome Lake House

The location at Swansea Point is outstanding! Quiet setting with a great yard, nice deck and a fire pit perfect for family gatherings. Easy walk to the beach and many amenities like kayaks for outdoor fun. The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything needed for family feasts. Many beds that accommodate your whole gang comfortably. Highly recommend.

Our family has been camping in this area for decades. We were blessed to find a property & home just a few steps away from our favourite lake and beaches. We are thrilled to be able to share a few weeks each season with you.

Mara Lake in the Shuswap, British Columbia is the perfect homebase for your four seasons of fun. In the summer enjoy all the hiking and biking and lake activities. In the spring and summer there is golfing, fishing, hiking and winery tours. Of course in the winter enjoy all the sledding and snow skiing in the area.
We have two complementary paddle boards and two kayaks for your use.
Also, a variety of life vests available during your stay.

We are a few steps away from the beautiful Mara Lake with seven public beach accesses in the area & beautiful white sandy beaches and warm lake. Our property is a single detached home on 1/4 of an acre flat lot. We have shaded trees in a quiet area for your family and extended family to enjoy.
