Beautiful 1 Bedroom Basement Apartment with wifi, cable TV, all the appliances, toaster, electric kettle within a fairly new home(2020) with a lawn backyard. There is a ductless heat pump(for heating & cooling) in the Rec room while we have an electric baseboard in the bedroom. The bedroom comes with a Queensize bed and there is a closet in the bedroom with extra linens, duvets and towels. The kitchen has all the utensils, plates, pots and pans. There is an all in one washer/dryer and a dish washer in the kitchen as shown in the photos with a fridge not too far away. The bathroom has a shower with a single vanity.
This location is about 10-12mins drive from Downtown Halifax!! Groceries are few minutes away, recreation centre and Bollarama are both within reach. Walmart is 5 mins drive through Herring Cove Road via Quinpool/Chebuto roundabout. This is the spot to be if you like being within the city.

Other things to note
The key will be in the lockbox by the railing in front of the property. The apartment space is available to the guests and also the backyard. No smoking in the apartment and this is a pet free apartment.

Clean, Quiet, Safe

I was in Halifax for a week long training and was looking for a quiet, clean space. This place was perfect. I was happily surprised to have access to a washer and dryer which made my stay even more enjoyable. The host was respectful and communicative. Thanks again!

Clean but....

After we had to open a fence complicated and then entered the apartment through the patio door, which is very difficult to unlock. We thought in the first moment, "wow, clean and modern". From there it went downhill because: - the WiFi is just slow and constantly loses the connection - the apartment is so noisy that you can hear every step and every word of the guests who live in the townhouse above you - especially if there are children living there, this is very exhausting - there was hardly any crockery / cutlery - there was no coffee machine (we bought a coffee maker and left it there) - to shower very complicated - in garden at least one rat was sighted by us - the garbage from our predecessors was still there Good was still: That the appliances all worked (which should be normal) and that the bed was good. We would not stay there again because you feel a bit like a 2nd class guest.

Door wouldn’t lock, wasn’t fixed prior to check out.

We weren’t able to check in on our selected date due to a delayed flight and the host not being able to accommodate a late check in even though the key was in a lock box-we had to find alternate accommodation for the evening costing us additional money. Check out was simply put the key in the box and goodbye, so not sure why that was an issue. The check in date was never adjusted and we were charged for that night by the host. We then discovered the first night that the door to the entrance didn’t lock. We contacted the host immediately and upon check out 6 days later the lock still wasn’t fixed. We kept being told a locksmith had been contacted but was unavailable. The shower makes a loud vibrating sound the whole time you shower unless it is on a scalding temperature. The yard is over grown and there is discarded items ( trampoline parts and old shoes?) at the entrance. No hand soap in the bathroom and explicit instructions that no more supplies will be provided. Would not recommend. While this may only be additional income for the host if you are on any kind of holiday or expecting any kind of hospitality this likely isn’t the place for you.
