Small family holiday retreat

We had a wonderful time during our week stay. The house is in a beautiful location, humbly equipped yet charming and perfect for a small family.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing, perfect for my son and husband to go fishing. Beds were super comfy and house has everything you need. We will stay again for sure.

Lovey house in an excellent location

Perfect family holiday location for our family with two preteens and two cats. Everything has been thoughtfully provided to make our stay easy. Plenty of room for everyone and close to the river, beach and shops. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home

The house was lovely with a great back deck and enclosed yard for our cavoodle. It was really well stocked with everything we needed. Great cafes only a short walk away and so close to the water. We would absolutely stay here again.

House perfect presentation, very clean would love to book for another holiday. Husband enjoyed being able to walk to the river to fish.

This is my second stay at this property. Although the weather was shocking, the cottage is nice & cosy. A lovely time was had by us. I hope to return again.... depending on the price....

Lots bugs insects in the house and kids beds. Wifi non existent and we have hired dozens of houses in Ocean Grove past few years and this is the only one without. Location was superb and the house was spacious and comfortable. Thanks.

Great location, disappointed there was no WiFi, it did not include WiFi in the listing so it was my bad that I missed it but assumed it would have WiFi as most places do. Otherwise our stay was great, it is a really quiet part of Ocean Grove with easy access to the river and and a 20 minute walk into town.

Awesome Little Get Away

Absolutely loved staying here, fully contained little gem. Fireplace ✔️ A/C ✔️ Heater ✔️ Cozy downstairs and upstairs, loved the rear patio bbq area which you can enclose to keep the weather out or to keep your pet safe. Large backyard for kids and pets. 4 doors down from the Barwon River and walk trail and another stone throw away from jetty/boat ramp and golf course. Couldn’t ask for anything more

Peaceful & Productive

My stay was a mini break... I wanted to attend some local craft classes & make a quilt or 2..... This place was magic. Close to Geelong to do my classes & then a great space to sew to my hearts content... Beautifully presented & very cozy. The roses are a lovely welcome & a fabulous back drop for the 3 quilts I finished... that's right 3.... sew in the zone. I hope this plac stay on the listings and continues with it manageable cost... I think I drove the team nuts with my emails, but they were always lovely in their responses.... You would love to stay here...

Sew Much Fun

Again loved my stay. This is my 3rd or 4th time using this house. It's ideal for my sewing getaway & close to my favourite quilt shop - Bellarine Sewing Centre. So convenient for attending classes. The dining table is a bit dodgey.. but a couple of bricks solves the problem. Unfortunately the price has increased significantly over time. I'd like to see some recognition of return visitors in the form of a discount. This one may have to be my last.... sew sad.....

Basic beach house in good location

An old house which has been neglected and does need a lot of work to warrant the high rental price. The upstairs bedroom looked quaint but was extremely hot, no airconditioning or fan, door to balcony has no latch so wouldn't stay open to let air in, windows couldn't be opened - so we had to sleep in the downstairs bedroom. Mattresses upstairs were all uncomfortable as well. Most windows throughout house had no keys to unlock, or winders didn't work. Location was great along with good large backyard.

I'm sorry you feel this way Kay. We had a number of guest enjoy the property this summer with no complaints at all. The price is also reasonable for the property and on the lower side of nightly rates for Ocean Grove. I appreciate mattresses are a very personal choice too. The owner has done a lot of maintenance on the house and will continue to do. It is not neglected at all and your assumption it is was, was quite upsetting to the owner.
