à propos de cet hébergement
Spa, Sauna & River, Enchanting Hobbit Pod
La Sumac offers a complete and private thermal experience, featuring a wood-fired hot tub, a sauna, and direct access to the Pelletier River.
A nature retreat in the heart of the Saguenay where comfort, privacy, and well-being come together. The perfect place to slow down, breathe, and unwind â in every season.
La Sumac immerses you in an enchanting setting, surrounded by a majestic river and a lush forest. Just minutes from the Monts-Valin, Tadoussac, and the natural wonders of the Saguenay!
Let yourself be lulled by the gentle murmur of the river and step into the magical world of La Sumac.Tucked deep in the forest, this charming Hobbit-inspired half-moon cabin offers a peaceful and rejuvenating escape by the water.
Inside, youâll find two queen beds, one of which is perched on a cozy mezzanine accessible by a ladder. From there, climb into a suspended catamaran-style net â a unique cocoon in the air, perfect for reading, relaxing, or simply daydreaming.
A sofa bed allows the cabin to accommodate up to 6 guests, though itâs most comfortable for a family or 2 to 4 adults.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering:
Two propane burners
A compact fridge with freezer
Dishes, utensils, bowls, a fondue set
And a propane BBQ, available year-round
Start your mornings with a comforting cup of coffee from the Keurig machine (1 pod per adult per day included).
The full bathroom features a modern shower and a premium composting toilet. Towels, bed linens, and eco-friendly products from Pure and Oneka are provided â good for you and kind to the planet.
Step outside and enjoy nature in complete comfort! A spacious private deck awaits, complete with a welcoming gazebo and, best of all, your own private wood-fired Nordic spa and sauna â the perfect place to unwind and soak in the serenity.
An outdoor firepit invites you to extend your evenings under the stars, while inside, a propane fireplace in the living area offers warmth and coziness after a beautiful day outdoors.
While there is no air conditioning, the riverside location and forested valley keep the temperature naturally comfortable year-round. Fans are also available for your comfort.
As night falls, let the magic take over⊠Over 200 feet of twinkling string lights line the riverside trail, creating a soft, romantic, and unforgettable ambiance.
Please note: This accommodation is not suitable for young children, babies, or individuals with reduced mobility. However, we warmly welcome families who are comfortable with this nature-based setting.
A few important details for a smooth and relaxing stay at Exode en Nature:
Pets
Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome, as long as they are kept on a leash at all times while on the property. For their comfort, please bring a crate, as well as their bowls and accessories. Please note that dogs cannot be left alone inside the accommodation when you are away. Unfortunately, cats are not permitted. Thank you for your understanding.
Access to the accommodation
A 600-foot trail connects the parking area to your unit, so we recommend packing light and wearing appropriate footwear.
General rules
All of our accommodations are non-smoking
Each booking includes a maximum of two parking spaces
There is no television, but Wi-Fi is available â perfect for disconnecting or working remotely in the heart of nature!
Your private wood-fired spa â an authentic experience
The Nordic bath is available year-round and is heated using a wood-burning system, surrounded by nature and the calming sound of the river. Itâs a hands-on, two-step ritual that invites you to slow down and enjoy the present moment. Guests are responsible for lighting and maintaining the fire themselves â part of the charm of the experience!
In winter, please allow 5 to 6 hours to heat the bath on your first day. The temperature will be easier to maintain on subsequent days. During extreme cold (below -20°C), it may not be possible to reach optimal water temperature despite your best efforts. No pre-heating service is available, to let you fully embrace the natural, self-paced experience.
A full immersion in the forest
Youâre staying in the heart of nature, so encountering insects, small critters, or even wildlife is a normal part of the experience â and in no way a reflection of the cleanliness of the accommodations, which we take very seriously. We kindly ask that you keep doors closed to prevent any unwanted guests from coming inside.
