Tom's cabin pairs the modern and rustic feel perfectly, with well-maintained spaces indoors and out. He's also quick to respond and made sure we had an excellent stay. Highly recommend if you're staying in the French River area

We had a great time staying at this cabin at French River. The cabin and the grounds are beautiful, clean and well cared for. It is close to hikes we wanted to do and even to a little beach. Our kids loved it.

Absolutely beautiful property. Very comfortable, spacious and lots to do. Location is private but close to great hiking and outdoor activities. Host was friendly and responsive. We will be back!

We had a fantastic stay. The cottage was beautiful and clean and had all the basics covered. The hosts Tom and Trish responded really quickly to any questions/ concerns we had. The location was perfect for day trips into Killarny, French River and Grundy. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay and would certainly recommend this property. Thanks for everything:)

A little piece of heaven

Upon driving up to the property, you immediately notice how well maintained the grounds and surrounding area are. Opening the door takes your breath away. They went through a lot of trouble to insure that they stayed within the rustic decor. The beds were amazingly comfortable, as was the furniture inside and out. I definitely would recommend this property to anyone looking for complete relaxation and quiet. I'm already planning on returning next year.

We loved our stay at the modern log cabin retreat. The interior is exactly like in the pictures - totally stunning. A lot of care clearly went into the construction and to the interior (like REALLY comfy beds and chairs!), and there was a large outdoor green space for our toddler (2.5) to run around. Tom and Trish were extremely responsive to all our questions and gave us lots of local tips for where to go/what to do. Note that are there are no window coverings so if you have a young one you might want to bring your travel curtains.It is not clear from the VRBO listing that this is a single building with 2 separate units. For those, like us, who were anticipating no other guests sharing the building and property, note that you can hear the other guests enjoying their own space outside and you can hear the plumbing (toilets flushing) from the other unit (other than that it's very quiet in the the unit and you don't hear talking or music or anything like that). You also do have your own private space (including a totally private sauna/backyard space), and we had a really great time!
