Spacious beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful setting. Ideal location to attractions we came to see. A wonderful welcome from our host who even provided fresh eggs and delicious coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

Beautiful house in the middle of the woods. Nice, cozy touches inside. Welcoming host, good communication. Would stay there again.

Lovely house

We were in town for a family wedding and the place was lovely. It was clean and well equipped and had plenty of indoor space and outdoor space for the whole family. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Enjoyable vacation

All in our party from 9 year old to 75 year old enjoyed the area. Lots to do. House was good base fir all activities.

Amazing stay

The house was really spacious and carried pretty much everything we could need. Sue and Bayard also left us some produce from their garden - really sweet touch that made us feel welcome

Delightful, quiet, spacious

We stayed here for a quick weekend and wished it was longer! The house is large with enough space for the 9 of us to spread out and have enough room. The outdoor space is beautiful and well maintained.

Weekend trip

This is a great house for large groups. It was clean, smelled great, and was well stocked. It's a little far from other attractions but a great place to be tucked away with your group! We would definitely go back!

Very cozy home in the woods! Robust selection of kitchen items, games, books, and DVDs. We loved spending 6 days here in July with my sister and her family. We especially loved the fresh eggs waiting for us in the fridge! One note about being there in the summer- the sun rises very early, so bring a sleep mask if you’re sensitive to light in the mornings :)

Family Reunion

Wonderful host. Communicated well in preparation for our stay. House was perfect , family especially enjoyed the sunroom and screened in room. House is very accessible to all the wonderful Maine coast attractions. We look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful house in the woods

Plenty of room to spread out, the sun room was a favorite. Sue is a great hostess. Out of the way but not too far from town and stores.

Great home to stay in for a trip!

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights on a trip to Acadia. The location was nice, area was quiet and very calm. The property was also great, the only issue we had was some bugs that were around the house. The coffee provided was one of the best we've had! Susan was very kind and very helpful throughout the stay, I definitely recommend this place and would book again.

Our group of 10 very much enjoyed our stay. Lots of space to spread out to relax while we were at the house, which is on a beautiful property. The house was clean, well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. Thank you!

Wonderful stay!

This property is beautiful! Susan & Bayard made everything so easy with booking, check-in and check-out. We found everything we needed for a WONDERFUL STAY! Everything was so well stocked. If we would ever be "in the neighborhood" again, we would definitely want to stay at "the brick house in the woods". Thank you Susan & Bayard sincerely.

So good!

We cane in for dinner at Lost Kitchen. Sue was a most excellent host! The house was easy to find and lots of great common areas inside and out! Loved it.

Annual Tradition

We love this property, and our visits here may become an annual tradition. 11 of us stay to visit family in the area and the house setup works well for the adults and teens to each have their own space, or for all of us to get together. The hosts are very friendly and responsive- thank you!

Great family vacation

We were at Sue’s house for a family vacation and had a great time. The house is perfectly located in a secluded area where all you can hear is the sound of birds. It was a perfect place to relax after a super active day at Acadia park and Bar Harbor. We were also so excited to have farm fresh eggs complements of Sue ( thank you!). All and all a great stay. Would highly recommend this place

Perfect family gathering site!

This house worked out very well as a headquarters for five family members attending a wedding nearby. We invited other family members to a picnic in the backyard which was ideal. House was extremely well-equipped and clean and we appreciated the eggs! We would happily return!
