Cottage mozzafiato sul bellissimo lago storico Champlain!

Il cottage Osprey può ospitare fino a 8 persone ed è stato recentemente ristrutturato con una bella arte e una camera da letto soppalcata con un grande portico riparato che si affaccia sul lago con tramonti a ovest. Una barca a remi è inclusa nel noleggio. I giardini sono bellissimi. È ideale per i bambini poiché si trova su una strada privata senza uscita. La proprietà è a breve distanza da Middlebury per ER, negozi, ristoranti, musei e il college. Il cottage ha una cucina completamente attrezzata, e gli arredi, le lenzuola saranno fornite per una tassa facoltativa di pulizia. C'è un negozio di esche e placcaggi, catering per eventi o cene sulla nostra veranda riparata, e tempo permettendo un barbecue, e gite in barca pontone con le prenotazioni. Il ponte Champlain di recente costruzione si trova a breve distanza dalla struttura. Il punto di Larrabee è vicino per prendere il traghetto per Fort Ticonderoga. La proprietà è ideale per matrimoni, anniversari, riunioni di famiglia e altro! C'è un bellissimo mazzo per eventi per il tuo giorno speciale con viste spettacolari per lo sfondo delle tue foto! We stayed in the Osprey Cottage with a beautiful view from the screened in porch of Lake Champlain. Great access to fishing or just relaxing by the water. It is a great place to unwind and enjoy the peacefulness. The owners and the family were very hospitable and accommodating. We enjoyed our time at Watch Point Cottages.

This place was honestly a dream. Ardie and her husband Mike are so wonderful as hosts. The property and homes are very well maintained, the hot tub was very clean and well kept. The house was cozy and my family can’t wait to return in the future. 10/10 recommend!

The area was just lovely, very quiet and peaceful. The property owners were very cordial and very helpful. The property was very clean and easy to get around. The beach area was not very good. Too many large rocks and mucky on the bottom. Some items need to be updated.

Wedding in the area

We had a great stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed, the beds were so comfortable, the property and the views were so peaceful and beautiful. Everyone that stayed at the house with us was happy. Wonderful stay!!! Great communication with Ardie throughout our entire trip. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here again.

The property is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Very private and peaceful. Ardie and Mike were wonderful! The fact that it is dog friendly was a huge bonus for us!

Great time

We had a great time there! We loved being able to get up and go on the boat. Our 22’ boat fit just fine. We enjoyed nice views from the screened in porch. Most important our dogs and kids were welcomed. That was key for us. We had a great week.

Lakeside views

Good location for visiting Middlebury college, just 25 mins drive. Great area for gravel cycling. Cottage had all amenities required.

Great house and the home owners were super friendly

Had a great trip to watch point inn cottages. The house was perfect for us and having the dock the leave out boats in the water was amazing. The home owners were some of the most friendly people I've ever met. They even let us borrow gas cans to put gas in our boats and left us vegetables from their garden. Will definitely be staying there again when I'm back up to lake Champlain!

Relaxing stay

We actually rented 2 cabins from Ardie and her family. My family stayed in one and my sister in law and her sons stayed in the other. They were clean and comfortable. Even though we had some rain, we enjoyed the peacefulness and the great views. The kids loved fishing and boating on the lake and we had a wonderful fireworks display. We can’t wait to go again!

long weekend on Lake Champlain

Beautiful location. Cottage was as described. Hosts were always available and gave alot of info on the historyof the cottages them selves and things to do in the surrounding area. It was a great weekend. Thanks Ardie and Mike!!!

Good Vibes in Vermont

This is the perfect place to get back to nature with modern convenience. The property is surrounded by trees and beautiful Lake Champlain, and is well maintained. We saw cotton tailed rabbits hopping around golden eagles flying above. It is extremely quite and peaceful, a great spot to take a break. Really cool towns are a short drive (20 mins) away for provisions and restaurants. Burlington is only 1hour and twenty. A really fun day trip, the Leahy Martime Museum is great for kids and adults. Definitely a spot we will return too.

A slice of heaven

Ardie and Mike are fantastic hosts! Hospitality was 100% The cottage that we stayed in was very clean and cozy. We all felt completely relaxed. A very quiet and safe area. It was awesome to learn about the family history of Watch Point Cottages, it made the stay even more special! Fishing Lake Champlain from the shoreline was incredible! Highly recommend Watch Point Cottages! Thank you again Ardie and Mike for the experience! 10 out of 10!

Nice place to relax and unwind and with your pets

Beautiful spot on the lake. Nice event deck to enjoy the view and golden eagle flying overhead. Ardie and Mike were very attentive. Had an issue with one burner on stove and it was fixed within hours. Great for our dog. Thank you Ardie for his swimming lesson. If you stay there visit the sculpture walk on Route 74

Run from this place

Terrible location, view of a 24 hr paper plant. Noisy, glaringly lit and intrusive factory which impacts on the view of lake. Large amount of black mold located in cramped bathroom shower. Extra fees were required for including dogs, linens & cleaning service after stay. Screen porch faced due west with no shades and door has holes. Furniture needs updating & a deep cleaning of overhangs is also necessary.Host was intrusive & very forceful in selling extra services such as food (restaurant meals) & fishing products. TV was not working for 2 days & not checked prior to our arrival.

Review of Watch Point Inn Cottage, Shoreham, VT - the Osprey

My wife and I and our 4 young adult children (ages 25, 22, 19, 17 and small dog -Casey the Cockapoo) had an amazing and wonderful experience renting this cottage out for the week of August 12th. The Owners - Ardie/Mike were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel so welcome - as if we were family. The property is gorgeous and the views of Lake Champlain spectacular! The cottage comfortably fit the 6 of us (plus plenty of TVs.) Chef Mike and Ardie prepared the most delicious home cooked meal of Bruschetta, Chicken Parm & Steak that we ever tasted! That was a memorable evening for my family - which is what family vacations are all about. If you desire an affordable, quiet, relaxing, and peaceful vacation - plus a glimpse of paradise - I would highly recommend your family stay at one of the 3 Watch Point Inn cottages. You will have no regrets and memories that will last a lifetime. Ardie suggested we hike Snake Mountain a few miles away and the view when the entire finally reached the top was absolutely breathtaking and beyond words!!! This place is two thumbs up! My family and I had a great time staying at a restored cottage on Lake Champlain in Shoreham, VT. Wonderful property. We’ll kept and maintained. Fishing and kayaking available. Ardie and Mike were super helpful. Dinner onsite was wonderful. We would definitely stay there again. 5 Stars.

Great time on the lake

We had an amazing week here! It’s a pretty remote area which we loved. We had a lot of fun on the lake and did a lot of relaxing. The hosts were very helpful, friendly and available if needed.

Not my first pick

the stay wasn’t the most pleasant. The female owner was a bit invasive, commenting on our appearances as soon as we got there. When we would finally get back from a long day at Lake George, she would complain about us having the porch light on while we were hanging out before bed. Speaking of bed, every single bed in the place was stained and dirty. It was the most filthy place I’ve ever stayed. We even put on our own spare sheets and we still felt dirty. We didn’t even bother trying out the hot tub after seeing that the entire place was not clean. Not recommended unless you want to just sleep for a few hours. And be monitored by the owners the entire time for either using or not using their properties amenities. Description failed to mention the cash cleaning fee, check deposit, and also that we needed to bring our own sheets. When Tom arrived to resolve our issues he himself agreed that some pillows should be replaces and the mattress covers as well.

Amazing getaway

The property is right on a lake with panoramic views from the front porch. Ardie is a wonderful host who showed us around and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. Additionally, Chef Mike's 30 years of cooking experience shows, we ordered dinner from the hosts two nights, and it was simply amazing. Fantastic hidden gem of a BnB, great place to get away and unwind.

Special Spot!

Despite the glimpses of International Paper in NY across beautiful Lake Champlain this property is a sybaritic special spot! A family property since the 50’s now run by the next generation and “invested in” by the grandchildren we felt cared for upon arrival and throughout our stay. Reminiscent of long-ago visits to friends and family properties it’s flavor is familiarly friendly while acceptably COVID-19 preventative.
