Everything about this cabin and its owner are excellent. Clean and nice cabin and good communication with the owner when we had a question. This is our 2nd time renting this cabin and we will definitely be back.

We loved our stay in this beautiful Watauga Lake log cabin. The cabin was immaculate and very cozy for our three night stay. Overlooking the lake, the view is stunning and the surrounding area is calming and peaceful. The cabin kitchen is stocked with everything needed. Plenty of utensils, dishes, cookware, etc. We only slept in one of the queen-size beds, and it was comfortable. We slept well! My husband got some fishing in at the dock and we visited a few of the nearby restaurants. The hosts were communicative and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would love to return for another visit!

Oh my goodness this space is perfect for a lovely time at the lake! A quick little walk down the hill to the dock, plenty of space for kiddos, and gorgeous lake views!

My husband and I really loved our stay at the cabin and even stayed an extra night. It was quiet and peaceful. We could see a beautiful night sky and saw a meteorite. The place was very clean and thoughtfully supplied. Had a small glitch with kitchen sink but was fixed quickly and did not interfere with any of our plans. We definitely will return either that cabin or with family and stay in the larger cabin. The hosts were very friendly and things went smoothly. I’d say try to have everything you need as there’s not much around. We ate at a lovely out of the way Thai food place that’s cash only if you go

The property was very convenient and very clean. It was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. The only thing that was disappointing was the community dock. I felt that it was unusable at the time.

Great stay!! Cozy place, with fireplace and hot tub. Would advise to stop by the grocery store before coming, unless you’re wanting to travel for food.

The cabin was beautiful and clean. The ac was out and we thought it would be fixed but it wasn’t. It was in the 85 range. We left for a day to just travel around hoping it would be fixed by 8:30 pm. It wasn’t so we left thinking it was too hot to tolerate. Actually they solved the problem a few hours after we left. So great job on their part but our patience had run out. Can’t say enough about the beauty of the cabin. We were not comfortable using the hot tub as the structural support was in question. Hate that we know too much about construction in our jobs. It causes us to look too closely.

Thank you for your kind comments about the cabin and its cleanliness. We’re sorry the AC issue affected your stay. The thermostat and AC system were working properly immediately prior to your arrival, and we were disappointed that an issue occurred during your stay. We understand that, with temperatures in the mid-80s, you ultimately decided to leave. We did compensate you for the inconvenience; however, we would also like to clarify that we were not contacted about the issue until later in the day, and we were then expected to have someone arrive within an hour. The issue was resolved within 15 minutes of your departure when our HVAC technician reinstalled the thermostat, which had been pulled off the wall. We would also like to clarify the comment regarding the deck and hot tub. Prior to your stay, and completely unrelated to your visit, the deck and supporting structure had already been evaluated by a licensed structural engineer. We have a written letter documenting that professional evaluation, and no structural safety issue was identified. We take the safety of our guests very seriously and rely on qualified professionals to evaluate structural safety. We appreciate your positive comments about the cabin and hope this clarification provides future guests with appropriate context regarding both concerns.

Amazing Time at the lake

We absolutely loved our stay at Watauga Lake. This cabin was spectacular with the views and our family absolutely loved our time at the cabin. The owners and managers were top notch! We look forward to coming back next year abd renting this exact cabin (home) again!!
