Great place!!

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the space. The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. The outside and dock area were great and the boat lift a pleasant surprise. We definitely would come back.

Great place to hear loons! They were amazing

We had our grandkids up. They loved the water. We loved the quiet mornings hearing the birds and drinking coffee with a book!

Very Relaxing Lake Stay

Wonderful, well cared for property with all the amenities you need. Inside A/C, Outside fully screened porch with fan, shaded wide deck, new decking on the dock all made for plenty of options where we could lounge no matter the time of day or temperature. Perfect place to soak in the relaxing beauty of Long Lake. Friendly neighbors were a plus! Highly recommend!

Fabulous!

Cabin was perfect. Cozy but well appointed with everything essential. We had 4 adults and 4 kids age 7-10. Porch was magical and where we spent most our time. Thanks to nick and jessica for being such great and responsive hosts!

Wonderful cabin and location

Pictures don’t do it justice! We loved our stay. Decorations are adorable and unique. Everything you need is there. Very comfortable beds. The screened-in porch is beautiful, especially with the gorgeous fall leaves. Loved Long Lake as well. We rented a pontoon from a marina on the lake, so no need to deal with transportation, etc. Nick and Jessica were wonderful hosts. Thank you!

Great property

Wonderful authentic cabin. Great access to beautiful Long Lake. Porch is an amazing spot. Only draw back is number of stairs to get down to the lake and while I love authentic cabins, they are not ideal for young children who may require quiet or who you want to keep away from steep loft stairs. Not a property issue, just something to be aware of if that is your demographic. Hosts were great.

Great cabin on an amazing lake

We stayed in the cabin for our annual fishing trip up North and loved everything about it. The cabin was as clean as could be and super comfortable for our group. We loved the screened-in porch, the back deck and firepit area, the waterfront and dock area with the water trampoline, and the outdoor shower was a great bonus...we used it every day. Long Lake has so much to offer including water sports, fishing, and restaurants and bars you can boat right up to. We had a blast and would definitely reserve the cabin again for our group for future trips. The owners are great too...they were super nice and responsive every step of the way. You can't go wrong with Coco's Lodge!

My stay

Everything was beautiful! The only thing that would of been nice to get the rental agreement at the time I rented. I spent my time nervous because of the rules and having such a large deposit. I never had to leave a deposit much less all the "rules" of renting. Had I gotten at the time I rented and paid in full with no refund I would of never booked.

Our refund policy is stated on VRBO and when booking it does state a rental agreement is available upon request anytime prior to your arrival and us sending it. We did not hear any communication from you requesting this information. We thank you for staying and taking great care of our property.

Cozy and Comfy

This cabin is very well pointed and exceptionally clean. Jessica and Nick stocked the cabin with quaint and functional dishes and serving bowls - the perfect utensils and a wonderful cast iron pan. The large porch is perfect for gathering to play a board game or meal time with the family. It is also a very nice place to attend a zoom meeting if you must. WIFI was sound and the media on the TV made it very easy for us to pull up a movie to watch. The beds are comfy and the lake is beautiful. The dock and deck in the back (and the hammock) create a perfect environment to relax and take in the sounds of the loons. I was very impressed with everything about this place and absolutely loved working with Jessica and Nick. They made us feel like they were right there for us and at the same time, made us feel like we had our own personal cabin to enjoy for the entire week. Thank you Nick and Jessica!! K & N

Beautiful Lake / Location - Overall wonderful stay with a few flaws

We enjoyed our week long stay at the lake with the family. The location was perfect and the owners provided great insight into local restaurants and boat rentals. While the description clearly states the significant walk down to the lake, we drastically underestimated just how difficult and inconvenient that would be for the young children and grandparents. The description of the cabin itself was a bit misleading - while very cozy inside and perfect for just a single family, the lack of privacy did not work for us and small children needing quiet to sleep. The young children (and even Grandma) tripped many times over the uneven floor between rooms. The best part of the house was the screened in porch - It was a great additional to the home and we spent many hours enjoying it! We were nervous about only having one bathroom, but the out house and out side shower should have covered that. However, most felt a bit uncomfortable with the security camera being just to the left of the shower and pointed in the general direction of the out house. Overall we had a wonderful time at Long Lake and would certainly go back, we would probably just look for a house that was a bit more appropriate for our family needs.

Thank you for your feedback, Tracee. We agree, our cabin was not a fit for your family based on how many were staying. We never want to be misleading, it is an authentic log cabin and we fully intend to keep it this way. We also state there are a lot of stairs to the lake, some like the stairs as it keeps littles away from the water. The security camera is not facing the outhouse, it is facing the driveway so we can monitor activity in the off season which we discussed prior to your check-in. We had some items go missing from our kitchen after your family's departure and had to power wash grease off the deck and outdoor picnic table which we elected not to charge your family for with the security deposit.

Cozy cabin with wonderful porch

This is a lovely and well maintained small cabin with a spacious screened porch and a pleasant patio/grill area looking out to the lake. It is a great place for a family. The lake is perfect for boating, swimming and fishing, and the trampoline off the dock provides a fun place to lounge. We had grandparents with us, one of whom has a hard time going down stairs, so the many steps down to the lake prevented him from joining us on the dock and boat as often as he might have. Travelers should realize that one of the main bedrooms with a queen bed is separated from the living room with a curtain. The wall separating that bedroom from the bathroom does not go entirely up to the ceiling. Those desiring more privacy can use the outhouse. There are a few slight transitions in elevation between a couple rooms. While these things do not detract significantly, they are good to be aware of if your group includes older travelers. The narrow kitchen has no cabinet space for food items, so they need to be kept in bags, boxes or coolers. This cabin has AC, which is a real luxury but definitely needed on hot evenings for those sleeping in the loft. Overall, this cabin provides a quintessential at-the-lake experience. Groups of adults and teens with more than 7 people will need to use the couch or extra cots provided for sleeping.

We have thought many times about closing off the cubby bedroom from the living room with a sliding barn door but that would close off the light and room making it feel smaller. It truly is an authentic hand built log cabin, we have chosen to keep some of these items original to the structure. Thank you for staying!

Great cozy cabin for close friends or family

This is a quintessential Northwoods cabin on a wonderful large lake. It was a huge bonus that we could rent a boat on the lake (Dave's Outboard about 30min away by boat). The lake was very quiet while we were there. The table on the screened porch was perfect for meals and games. I think it'd be helpful to future renters if the owners posted a few more pictures or 360 views of the home and dock to get a more accurate idea of just how tight the space is in the cabin and that the dock views and shore area are partially taken up by the owners' boat and jet ski docks. One bedroom has an entire wall that is a curtain and is right next to the tv area. The loft has a steep stairwell and the bathroom wall has a gap at the top. Noises travel easily between all indoor spaces, except for the new large bedroom, so it is hard if your group does not sleep on the same schedule. Perhaps the owners could work on making the bathroom door a little quieter. All that said we'd still consider stay there again. The new path is very nice, but still very steep, so those with bad knees still chose the stairs since there was no chance of slipping. Unfortunately, it will be bad knees that most inhibit our ability to return. It'd be nice if the owner clearly stated that they change the door code between renters. I asked, but they didn't respond. Note there is no laundry or dishwasher.

Thank you for your review. The path was completed just before the rental season began due to weather and it shifted where we are able to place our boat lifts. We plan to move these next summer. Hopefully you had a chance to watch the video we have for our listing which shows interior views. Great spot!

Cozy, charming and warm are the three words I would use to describe this little gem. We rented to be close to my aunt and uncle who have a cabin close by. It was a great spot we would love to check out during the summer (tons of outdoor and porch space!).
