Permesso EH # 18-2169 - Benvenuti alla Scarlett Rae House su Ditch Plains Road a Montauk. Questo è uno spazio confortevole, a meno di 3 minuti a piedi da una bellissima spiaggia di sabbia bianca con bagnini. Questo è un semplice cottage con 2 camere da letto e 2 bagni, con una cucina completamente attrezzata e una lavanderia con lavatrice / asciugatrice full size. Zona residenziale tranquilla, quindi piccole famiglie e coppie lo troveranno desiderabile. Ampio cortile dove c'è una griglia a carbone e posti a sedere all'aperto. Affitti minimi di 2 settimane. Non c'è aria condizionata, ma molti fan mantengono la zona fresca nelle giornate calde.

La camera da letto n. 1 anteriore ha una cabina armadio, ventilatore a soffitto, (1) letti singoli e (1) full size, comò triplo, TV via cavo a schermo piatto. La camera da letto n. 2 ha un armadio, una piccola cassettiera e una grande finestra che si affaccia sullo splendido cortile verde pieno di alberi di ortensie.

C'è una piccola area di lettura che ha anche un armadio pieno di giochi da tavolo e grandi romanzi e libri da leggere! Recentemente aggiunto un letto pieghevole in modo che un ospite possa dormire in quella zona se necessario.

C'è un soggiorno con TV a schermo piatto e un comodo divano e due sedie per sedersi.

La sala da pranzo full size ha un tavolo e 6 sedie.

La cucina è fornita di ogni utencil di cui puoi aver bisogno. Vengono forniti piatti e posate, oltre a diversi tipi di caffettiere: K-Cup e Drip. Fornisco tutti gli asciugamani di carta e la carta igienica. Se arrivate con la vostra auto, assicuratevi di portare dell'acqua. Ne tengo sempre un po 'a disposizione, ma è apprezzato se porti il tuo.

C'è una lavanderia che ha una lavatrice e asciugatrice full size. Si prega di tenere il passo con gli asciugamani e le lenzuola. Fornisco loro, compresi teli da mare, ma gli ospiti sono responsabili di assicurarsi che tutto sia pulito (lavato e asciugato) prima della partenza.

Attenzione a tutti i pescatori! Ci dispiace ma non c'è ridimensionamento o pulizia del pesce all'interno della casa. Tutto il lavoro di preparazione deve essere eseguito all'esterno sul proprio tagliere. Questo per proteggere tutti gli ospiti dall'affrontare le squame appiccicose sui banchi e sulle aree della cucina.

Everything you need and more

This was our second time staying at this house. It is the perfect little beach house. The location could not be better and the house is bigger than it looks in the pictures, not to mention the huge backyard. The host Ginger is awesome and super responsive. We’ll be back!

Perfect beach cottage at Ditch Plains!

From start to finish, our stay here was perfect! Ginger is an amazing host: timely and thoughtful communication from the moment I inquired about her property through check-out. She was so accommodating: letting us park at the house early on our arrival day and her check-out day policy makes for a stress-free departure. The house is SO adorable, charmingly decorated and so well equipped: you seriously want for nothing. Beach chairs, a beach cart, towels, bedding, paper supplies, stocked kitchen. The list goes on and on. It made our stay so comfortable and we truly felt like it was our home away from home. The backyard is huge and private: we brought our solo stove fire pit and enjoyed many evenings watching the moon rise and counting satellites. The lack of light pollution makes for wonderful star gazing. We had many meals outside on the picnic table in the sunshine! We kept our bikes and surfboards in the backyard for convenience too. The cottage is in the perfect location: a 1 minute bike ride to Ditch Plains beach (to the surfers middle parking lot, the first lot is even closer!) made it so easy to check the surf and then ride our boards down to paddle out. The outside rinsing station was great for rinsing wetsuits and feet and the clothesline was perfect for hanging up our wet gear in the sun to dry. We rode our bikes over to the Shadmoor trails (a very short bike ride away) and you can also access that trail from the first Ditch Plains parking lot which is a 2 minute walk from the house! We rode our bikes all over, really: it was an easy ride over to sunset beach on my beach cruiser. The ride out to the lighthouse was challenging but worth it. We took beach walks along the hoodoo cliffs almost every day. The sunset from there is gorgeous! We saw SO MANY whales and seals from the beach and the bluffs (and the lineup)! On cooler evenings we hunkered down in the living room on the comfy sectional couch. And I set up my travel office in the dining room while my husband used the nook in-between bedrooms. Phone reception is strangely wanting in Montauk, but the house Wifi was great! We had absolutely everything we needed in the kitchen to make wonderful meals at home, when we had had our fill of local lobster and wanted to stay in. We were SO sad to leave and can't wait to come back! Thank you for everything Ginger! Till next time!

Thank you so much for your very kind words. I felt from the start that you would love the location, and the coziness of my home would follow when you arrived. I plan to add your review to my "booklet" as this will inspire other guests to learn to appreciate what you know. A simple, thanks for "stopping by" is in order and I do hope you come back. I'm glad you enjoyed the great outdoors which was enhanced by the clean air and unobstructed view of the sky. I agree about phone service, which I hope my carrier, Verizon, will some day improve. I have learned that the end of the driveway is the best reception. I welcome the two of you back when your travels bring you out East!

Great Stay in Ditch Plains!

Ginger’s place is cozy and a very short walk from the beach. She’s a superb host (who seems to truly have thought of everything), and my wife and I had a wonderful time staying!

Ideal location

The home was even better than I expected. It is a fun, quirky beach house with lots of charm and character. It was fully stocked with everything we could ever need for great times at the beach. Ginger was communicative and there for us when we needed her, but otherwise let us enjoy our time freely. We can't wait to rent again.

Wonderful Montauk NY vacation

We had a wonderful 3 week vacation at Ginger's cottage. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and well stocked, including everything you need for the beach. The cottage has a great location just a 3 minute walk to the beautiful ocean beach and 5 minutes by car to town. Montauk is a great town with shops and plenty to do. Ginger was always available for questions. We would love to come again. Peg and Janie

There is nothing better than meeting new people who stay at my home. The "girls" were the best. Kept my home clean and neat as if it were there own. Great phone communication. I hope they return next summer.

Cozy beach cottage w/ all amenities for nice weekend getaway. Pleasant walk to Ditch Plains beach

Our extended weekend at 45 Ditch Plains was perfect - cozy 2 br 2 bath with all of the amenities for a nice weekend getaway. It was everything we expected; it's always good not to have surprises. Ginger made it perfectly comfortable for us - easy instructions for the property, open communication, and stocked with all of the comforts that you'd like to have on your stay. She made it feel just like home, and I cannot think of one thing that was missing on our stay. We were new to Montauk and she was available to answer any questions we had. She stocked the kitchen with coffee, water and a few snacks so we did not have to go into town our very first night (because it's about a 30 min walk, 1.5 miles). There is a spacious newly remodeled kitchen in case you'd like to cook, and washer and dryer in case you want to wash up. The house is definitely great for a group of people and was a little big for the 2 of us, but we liked the extra space. The house had everything you need for a beach visit, and I cannot stress how important this was for us. The beach is really a 3 minute walk and is beautiful (and safe) to walk day and night. Knowing that there were chairs, a beach bag, sunscreen and mosquito spray was a major plus (thank you so much Ginger). She was very flexible and accommodating and I will be considering her place for the next time I visit Montauk. Great visit, great host, pleasant beach cottage!

I have been spending summers in this home since 1962 when my parents purchased it as their summer get away. It offered great fishing for them, and a better beach/sunbathing experience for me! I no longer can spend my summers there due to work requirements, so have turned to renting it starting in September 2018.

My home is located in the popular Ditch Plains Beach section of Montauk. Park your car in the driveway, and the beach is approx. 500 feet away. There is a beach wagon to cart all your belongings to this beautiful area, that offers the protection of East Hampton Township lifeguards on duty.
