A Cozy Montauk Cottage

This property is perfect for a peaceful Montauk getaway. Clean, well-appointed (AC units in all rooms, nice kitchen appliances and accessories, outdoor grill and patio furniture, etc.) and a beautiful backyard for our dog to run around in with a view onto Fort Pond. The owner, Mike, is very easy to communicate with and was attentive throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

Great location, great home, great host

This was the perfect spot for our family of four, including two 11-year-olds. We walked or biked to the beach and to town almost every day, and the yard was great for some pick up soccer. Home was a great jumping off point for exploring the area. The host, Mike, was super responsive and checked in to make sure all was well. Would definitely return to this cozy and welcoming home!

Perfect Beach Cottage

Just wrapped up a great time at Michael's Montauk Cottage. Cannot express enough how great of a host he was. The cottage is just as described and was perfectly cleaned. Location is fantastic - walking distance to town & the beach. I'll be back!

Great house in montauk

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Michael’s place in Montauk, perfect for our family and our dog. The house is conveniently close to both the town and the beach (5 minute walk), with a large, fenced backyard that was ideal for our dog. The interior was clean and newly decorated and offers plenty of room, making it a comfortable spot to unwind and relax. Michael was incredibly attentive, always ready to help out or answer any questions we had. Will definitely be back

Great property and a great location. The house is a 6 minute walk to the beach and 9 minutes to the Grocery store and downtown shops and restaurants. We timed this to tell our friends as we were so happy about this locationSpacious back yard that our dog loved. We had several deer in the front yard every morning. We enjoyed watching them as we had morning coffees.Really nice deck in the back yard with a water view. Nice place for us to sit and have an evening cocktail.Quiet Street and neighborhood. We slept with the windows open some nights.

Great House in Montauk - Steps to the Beach

We had a great stay, and Michael was super helpful and accommodating. The house is a short 5 minute walk to the beach, and was perfect for a small family like ours. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook for our toddler. Not only is the house pet friendly, but the yard is huge and fenced in, which was a huge plus. The house has lots of other little bonuses too, like an outdoor shower, nice patio, washer dryer, and smart TV with tons of streaming services. We would love to stay again.

Nice place in Montauk

Clean place, well maintained inside and out, and nice light. Nice location in Montauk. I enjoyed the stay. The host made an effort to be communicative and also refilled the propane tank on the grill when that was needed. Only wrinkle, and this was on me as I hadn't finished packing about 30 minutes past check out time - but the host stormed in to scold me for that somewhat aggressively. I understand the need to clean for the next guest, but would've expected some kind of grace period and to not to be treated rudely.

great place for relaxed week by the beach

Michael's house was great and had everything we needed. Extremely convenient walk to the beach, great patio to hang out on and a really big fenced yard which was great for my parents' dog. Michael was very communicative and helpful. It was nice to have laundry and a well-stocked kitchen. Would recommend!

Beautiful, comfortable, convenient, kind

We had an excellent stay in Montauk. Our host met us at the house even though we arrived in the evening later than planned. He walked us through the details. The house was very clean and had modern & thoughtful accommodations. It is an easy walk to the beach and to town even while carrying beach equipment and with two young kids in tow. The backyard is large and well-kept, and we spent some fun afternoons, playing in the grass with the kids. Michael was easily accessible and checked in on us multiple times, including after an area power outage, to assess our well-being and provide support. And that’s the best part of this Vrbo: the kindness shown by our host, a kindness that permeates the house and grounds. We would definitely come back and stay.

Awesome stay in Montauk!

My wife and I, along with our two kids (12 and 8), spent a week in Michael's house at the end of August. I admitted to him we were a bit concerned by the lack of reviews for a house that looked so well taken care of and close to the beach and town. Turns out the house is new to the rental market and only a few groups had come through it to date. I suspect that is about to change! The house is very fairly represented in the pictures online. It is clean, nicely appointed, and clearly well taken care of. The location is wonderful. No more than an easy 7-8 minute walk to the beach and a bit more into the heart of town (faster on bikes!). If anything it felt a little more roomy than we were expecting, and that was party due to the fantastic outdoor space. A great deck, huge yard with a nice view, outdoor shower - everything you need. The house was perfect for our family of four, especially with two kids. It's not large, but it doesn't lack for anything either. It was the perfect little beach cottage for our end of summer vacation. Added bonus was that we were able to bring our dog with us, as well as nice touches like extra beach chairs, boogie boards and a beach umbrella. Michael himself was great to work with. Super responsive ahead of our arrival with questions and just as much so while we were there - whether we needed something or just wanted to know where to find the best lobster roll! We're already talking about heading back next summer!
