This property is absolutely stunning, it's a gorgeous view of the water and incredibly spacious inside. There is a ferry nearby and plenty of fun things to do in the area. We had a small issue with the hot water not working but the host was very fast to respond and got it taken care of the same day. A lovely place to visit we will definitely be back :)

We really enjoyed our stay in Davis! The house was a great home base for exploring Cape Lookout, Harkers Island, Beaufort, and the surrounding area. The location was especially convenient, with the ferry right nearby.One of our favorite things about the property was the peaceful setting and beautiful sunrise views from the screened-in porch. It was a wonderful place to relax after spending our days exploring the coast and collecting shells.We also appreciated the two complimentary passenger ferry passes included with the rental. Such a thoughtful bonus!If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway away from the crowds, this is a great spot. We loved exploring this quieter, less-developed part of the North Carolina coast and are already looking forward to our next visit. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was very clean with lovely decor and furnishings, spacious, and comfortable. The water view from every room was beautiful and we especially enjoyed the porch to just relax and enjoy the gorgeous view. We spent a lot of time there and out at the dock where we could fish and swim. The host was responsive and accommodating to our questions. We hope to return for another stay!

My family had an amazing stay at this location. The views were unbeatable … just gorgeous! The house was built so thoughtfully that views can be enjoyed room after room! I was just in awe - every day- looking out at the water. The wildlife was a treat … we saw an otter the first day! The house was wonderfully decorated and seemed to have everything we could possibly need to have a great stay. Our hosts even left us some welcoming delicious chocolate chip banana bread and other goodies. The hosts also had a several high power binoculars for guests to use. They allowed us to see forever… and I spotted dolphins in the distance. The dock/pier was a treat for fishing and hanging out. We just loved our stay!

We spent 3 nights in August, enjoyed the pier to fish and the covered porch just to wind down. We wanted to use the canoes but we didn't get the time. Very clean space and nice kitchen !!! We are returning a second time...for a peaceful retreat.. it will be when its cooler.... looking forward to it!!

Three best friends celebrating a Birthday weekend trip. Everything was very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Love the view from the home of the water. So peaceful.we enjoyed watching movies and playing cards. She has a variety of board games to choose from. We will definitely visit again! Thank you!

The property is gorgeous!! It was well stocked and there was delicious home made banana bread waiting for us. The owners left great instructions, restaurant, and local store guides. Everything that we needed was easy to find. It is minutes from the Great Island Ferry. We will be back!

Laurie is a lovely, gracious host. It comes across in her messages but even more so in all the little things she provides at the house: the homemade banana bread, the coffee and tea bar, the beach towels, the sunscreen, the nice shampoo, the kayaks and swim toys, etc. Honestly this home is just so well stocked and thoughtful. And the view! Beautiful. We had gorgeous weather and hung out on the dock fishing all afternoon. We’ve stayed here twice and will plan to stay again before our camping trips on Cape Lookout. Thank you, Laurie!

Had a great time. Mother Nature tried to hamper us, but plenty to do. Enjoyed the kayaks on the sound. Very peaceful town and place. We have already booked a summer stay.

We had a lovely time and the house was great - right on the water, the dock was where we spent all of our time and our 11-year old caught a bunch of fish. The sunrises were beautiful, one day we saw dolphins and another we watched a heron fish for breakfast. The house has great options for outdoor space, including the beautiful screened in porch. The only problem we had was the home monitoring Nest system with monitors mounted on the ceilings in the living room, master bedroom, and other bedroom - they kept going off with an automated voice, whenever we would turn lights on or off at night, and if someone got up to go to the bathroom. This was quite disturbing, and even woke my daughter up in the middle of the night. It was a bit scary to hear a computer voice announcing movement. The owner tried to turn this off but was not successful, this definitely detracted from our enjoyment and I hope nobody else has this issue in the future.
