Fantastic property with first class oceanfront. Sea turtles out front are there 24/7. Very good and convenient snorkeling out front. Have always stayed in 10/10 rated houses and this was the best stocked and outfitted kitchen yet. Did not need AC during 10 days with cool breeze

This was an awesome location, we will definitely be back. The house had everything we needed for our crew of two families with small children. The snorkeling out of the backyard was amazing and you can swim or walk (2 min) to the well protected baby beach.

Great location, incredible views and we saw turtles every day. However, the property needs some TLC. The air conditioners in three (3) rooms were broken and had been temporarily replaced by freestanding units with venting thru open doors and windows that didn't work well. The living room was too hot to spend time in during the afternoons because of the broken air conditioner. Seems like the AC issue has been going on for quite some time as there was an letter (with no date) on the counter addressing the issue. How do three (3) different AC units go out at the same time? Several broken waterline tiles in the pool. The refrigerator/freezer did not work properly...froze many items in the refrigerator and the ice maker did not work. Two of the sliding doors are very difficult to open. Two wall lights flickered constantly when turned on. It feels like they don't want to spend any money to fix some of the basic items in the house.

The view & snorkeling off the beach was outstanding. House doesn’t have air conditioning. It has portable air conditioning & some splits on the wall of certain rooms. The main great room & kitchen were miserably hot. Downstairs family room had no air at all. House definitely needs updating. Ice maker was broken too!

The house was very spacious and well equipped. The location was amazing, right on the ocean, with a swimming pool, nice yard area and a large lanai. Though the location was excellent, and we loved the property, the home is starting to show it's age and could definitely use some updating. All in all it was a great home for an ocean front Hawaiian vacation.

We had a sea turtle and seal swim up to our property the first night. Parakeets slip in the coconut trees above. Well equipped kitchen was perfect for our family and go cooked several nights. So much equipment available to use in the pool room, snorkel gear, beach, chairs, etc. everything we could want! Thanks for the relaxing week!

The house is spacious and well-equipped. There are five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and plenty of room to spread out. The grandkids spent hours in the pool every day. The view is spectacular!The small beach allowed access to the ocean, where there is a small semi-protected area for swimming and snorkeling. And every evening, two or three sea turtles arrived and spent the night on our beach!We highly recommend this beautiful house!

All Family Experience

This property is AMAZING. The location is terrific. The house is big and comfortable. We were a family group of 9 (age range from infant to senior citizen). We had plenty of space and great accommodations for our group. Lots of 'at home' meals and the kitchen is the BEST stocked I have ever seen. Loved hearing the ocean, seeing the honu resting, swimming in the sea, and 4 generations enjoying the pool together. Problem with the upstairs AC units was not handled well by prop mgmt firm. Ultimately everything was fixed.Gorgeous place gave us precious family memories.

Poipu work and play

This is our groups second time staying at this property and it is 10 out of 10. It’s the perfect accommodation for multiple families or a large group. Several large bedrooms each with a private bathroom. The kids enjoyed the games, the pool, and all the local beaches. The property management had great communication and made our stay worry free. Mahalo! We can’t wait to come back!

The location was perfect... a quick walk to baby beach and short drive to shopping and dining. We all agreed this might be our new family reunion location. And the communication with manager was fast!! Highly recommend.

We've rented several houses in Poipu area (our favorite go-to) and this was my personal favorite located ON the beach with a pool, walking distance to our favorite shaved ice stand, restaurants, and shopping center. Absolutely Incredible - Never Wanted to Leave

There was so much to do on the South side of the island, but there were times we just wanted to stay and relax at the home. Sitting on that balcony and watching the water was absolutely hypnotizing. I don't know how to describe the feeling of waking up in the morning, grabbing a coffee and just staring out at the water listening to the waves. It is paradise personified. It was a short walk into the Kuikui'ula Village shops and a cute little market (with unreal Acai Bowls) - a walk we made a few mornings and evenings. This house was everything we dreamed it would be. The staff at Garden Island Rentals was communicative and quick to respond on everything. Thank you all!

Excellent location for family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really loved the location. The small, mostly private beach with excellent snorkeling was a highlight our our trip. Watching for sea turtles, listening to the waves and enjoying the balcony didn't get old for any of us. The kids used the pool daily, which was supplied with a huge array of toys and floats. We also found many shopping and restaurant options within walking distance. Sidewalks are present around the area as well, which isn't something you'll see on many parts of the island. The house was stocked with plenty of plates and glasses for our party of 9. Having access to the garage was a huge benefit since the drive is quite small. We really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend fixing the gait which is supposed to go across the driveway and/or fence/gait the side yard on the right. I wasn't thrilled with leaving all the windows/sliders open on the first floor at night when there wasn't any outer security. It got pretty hot without the windows and sliding doors open at night. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in this area or in this house if we even come back to Kauai. It's pricey, but so is everything else on the Islands. No one goes to HI to save money, but this home helped us to maximize value by having so many positives.

Oceanfront Bliss

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this property was perfect. We could be in Koloa or Poipu in under ten minutes. Spouting Horn and Allerton Garden are right down the road. We walked to the monthly craft fair held on The Beach House property for local handmade gifts to bring home.Except for when spearfishermen (a class (?) came five times during our two weeks) were out back, we went right from the gate at the back of the property to swim and snorkel. We brought our own masks and appreciated the three pairs of fins that were provided. We saw honu in the water and one visited the small beach on two different days. It is a rocky beach with a small sand area, but Baby Beach's wide expanse can be accessed by a public walkway between the homes just a few houses up the road.The mornings were perfect for sitting on the upper deck. Once the hot sun rose, we were glad to have the lower deck and some shade when we returned from afternoon adventures. We had ample plates, cutlery and bedding and clean bath and beach towels. After a particularly rain day when everyone came back splashed with mud it was wonderful to have the washer and dryer.Note: the only bathroom on the lower level is next to the king BR, so they have to share with anyone in the twin-bedded room also on that floor.Our favorite takeout restaurant was Savage Shrimp with ample parking and only 5 minutes away. Bubba's was good too. The best "fancy" restaurants we would recommend are The 1849 Eating House and Japanese Grandma's Cafe. The property manager recommended Aloha Sweet Delights for fresh malasadas and we made that part of two different trips headed west. Don't miss seeing the NaPali coast with Capt'n Andy! For a relaxing day that gives back, consider taking a dog from the Humane Society on a Field Trip Day. For another day, you're right down the road from Allerton Botanic Garden - just sayin'!

Amazing sunsets and snorkeling

Excellent location and walkable to beach, restaurants and shopping. The property had amazing views, very spacious and has everything you could want. It was hard to leave this spot to look at other things around the island. Our family loved it. We were on a vacation that our adult children and spouses could come and hang out together with us.
