Reviewer Comments:
We were very satisfied with the room itself, but we did have a couple of concerns which we were unaware of in advance. 1) There was no additional safety lock or chain available on the front door; and 2) there was no room safe available to place valuables within while we were out.In addition, there were no instructions available detailing how to use the TV or wifi. We had inquired prior to renting the room whether regular cable was available and were told it was. But when we arrived, every channel we tried required a "password" to an account. We were also not able to connect to "wi-fi". We decided to go to the Sunny Maui office the following morning for answers to our questions/concerns. The address listed was to a P.O. Box, certainly NOT what we anticipated. We had no alternative than to call the office number. We were very lucky to reach a young gentleman who walked use through our questions/concerns. We were finally able to connect to cable and wi-fi. As luck would have it, we locked ourselves out of the room later that evening. But again we were lucky that the same young man was in the area, and provided us with a physical room key. (The digital key reset by the next morning). While we were very satisfied with the room and its amenities, Sunny Maui Vacations should let it be known upfront that they do not have a direct presence onsite. Prior to the Lahaina fire, we spent twenty-five plus years at the Lahaina Shores Resort. Similar in nature to the Royal Mauian regarding condo rentals, there was a least a front desk whereby one could express concerns and have direct eye-contact/interaction with a human being!
