Belizer Geezers relaxed in style!

The view from the back of the house was amazing and we lazed our days away in the fabulous pool and just relaxed.

Host very responsive, property very clean and roomy. We loved the outdoor pool and patio and access to the beach. Local ctc Elsner was helpful and quick when we needed more trash bags. Only bad thing was the neighbors 25 feet away had workers everyday we were there from 0730-1600 so we had to compete against power saws and hammer noise.

Fantastic Stay!

We had a wonderful stay in the seafront villa! We enjoyed all aspects of it - from sitting outside on the adirondack chairs having coffee and watching the sunrise to swimming in the pool and paddle boarding right off the beach in front of the property. Also - the property manager was a wonderful resource for info, events, etc. Highly recommended!

Many beautiful views!

The house was gorgeous! The view was something out of MTV Cribs! We have so many pictures and memories from our trip. The house, infinity pool and ocean is a winning combination.

Beyond Amazing

This property is absolutely beautiful! Wendy was amazing and answered any questions promptly. We will definitely be back! There's an amazing restaurant next door and grocery stores within walking distance.

Amazing pool and easy access right to the beach. The house was very comfortable and had all the necessities we needed. Our only challenge was the downstairs did not have AC and it got very hot/muggy in the evenings when we had to close the doors due to bugs (didn’t have screens) and could only rely on a few fans for air movement. Bedrooms had great AC, so sleeping was perfect. We 4 adults and 2 kids and everyone had enough space and enjoyed the property very much. We would definitely come again.

Hi Reggie-we are so happy to hear you enjoyed the house and Belize! We hope you enjoyed the two catered meals at the house which is always a treat. September with calm breezes and high humidity sometimes presents a challenge on the main floor. There are screened windows on three sides of the main floor, along with 3 overhead fans, 2 portable fans, and 2 patio fans which we usually find sufficient. We love to leave the doors open and listen to gentle waves at the shore, however, we are pleased that you were able to find sleeping comfortable in the cool bedrooms.

Amazing Place

We had an amazing time at Affairs to Remember. The house is stunning. We loved the pool and swimming in the ocean. Had a great time going to the bars and restaurants nearby but also a great time just hanging out at the house. Jack did a great job organizing tours for us. Our favorite was snorkeling and island hopping and a lobster lunch on the beach. Definitely want to come back next year!

Stress free vacation

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Proximity to the beach and private pool. We were greeted by our host Jack with a welcome drink, who arranged for a private day tour of the Cayes, private chef for dinner and house keeping. Everyone was friendly and the food was amazing! A consideration for anyone traveling in the month of September, at the tail end of our stay many of the resorts were closing for end of season, which limited our options for restaurants.

Absolutely Stunning

I'm not sure there is enough space for me to write everything I loved about our stay - from the house to the property manager (JACK!!) everything was amazing! if we had a question - Jack was fast to reply with whatever we needed - I would definitely recommend this property and would definitely return !

“Affairs Was Great”

The property was exactly as advertised. Great house with plenty of room. Everything we needed to cook, enjoy the pool, beach, etc…. Having the restaurant next door was a bonus and the food and bar were excellent. Grocery store about 3 blocks south as well. A bit of a drive to town, but we had a minivan so no problem at all. Would stay here again on our next visit.

Great house! Had everything we needed and we didn't have many questions as the pre-arrival instructions were complete. The sea grass was heavy along the shore, so we spent most of our time in and around the pool. The ocean breeze kept the house cool enough. The location was convenient to Placencia and to various activities - jungle hiking, cave tubing, Mayan ruins, etc. We'd definitely return.

Great space with beach and pool for our family to enjoy.

Placencia is a great chill place to explore. The house was large and had everything we needed. The kids loved having both pool and beach to play on. The outdoors space was a highlight and we could easily walk to be Maya Beach Bistro. The house needs some updating in places but it was clean and had everything we needed. It’s also close to the road so you do get some road noise. But overall we enjoyed it!

Quiet Retreat

We were looking for a place to get away and we found it. House and amenities were great. Incredible view with places to eat not far away. Would definitely tell you to go to Rick's Cafe for the Modo Mio and use Ahkeem for a water adventure, or two! He and his crew worked hard at making it a memorable trip. Well worth the expense. Two thumbs up.

Beautiful Getaway

This home in Maya Beach is beautiful! The beach and water were incredible and the communication with the owner and property manager could not have been better...even with my inability to connect to my VRBO log in the owner and property manager helped with my questions and gave instructions as needed. The inability to connect to my VRBO page was a glitch on my end. Internet at the house was excellent.

Location Location Location

The property is as listed, but so much more. It is situated beautifully on the Maya Beach, and nicely set back from the beach for complete privacy. The amenities are great, the location is within walking distance to great restaurants and we felt immediately at home. Wendy and Pat have provided great information on local attractions and have a super efficient Property Manager who was available when needed. This Property ticks all the boxes for a warm, relaxing holiday away in a beautiful country that has many natural beauties to offer.

Heaven on Earth!!

First let me say this property is everything is claims to be and so much more! Wendy the property owner was very friendly and very responsive to any questions we had and Cindy the property manager was available onsite for anything that came up during our stay. The house was amazing! Very comfortable, clean and had everything you could possibly need. The pool and the beach were fabulous and the highlight of the trip. We spent hours lounging by the pool and enjoying all the Belize had to offer. We are planning on making this an annual event!

Exactly what we were looking for

This was our second time renting this property in the past 7 years and it did not disappoint. Jack and his staff do a wonderful job maintaining the house, pool and grounds. We really appreciated the extra effort that Eva and Maria put into making the home spotless for our arrival. This property is located within walking distance of a grocery store and one of the best restaurants on the Placencia peninsula which is located in the Maya Beach Resort. This oceanfront home is well furnished and equipped with everything you need.

We loved the location for our families holiday. Elsner was easy to get a hold of and prompt to answer questions and address issues. His wife did a great job cleaning and was very reasonable. I did not give 5 stars because of a few things. We did not have a working television for 3 days due to cable issue. The hot tub wasn’t working and we were disappointed in not being able to see out of our bedroom windows because the blinds were disabled. We had a fabulous time at this beautiful house and would consider renting again.

Anne, I am glad you were able to enjoy a family reunion at my house which allowed for extra guests to use the house and pool even though they did not stay there. I was happy to accommodate that for you. Your husband notified me the cable did not work and I had that resolved the next day. All other TVs in the house are smart TVs and were working . Your husband emailed me with a favourable response after one day. There is no hot tub advertised, and the blinds being closed and you could not see out? I wish you would have emailed me about that as I could have resolved that for you. I personally, love to open the balcony doors to enjoy the view and beautiful Caribbean breezes as there are screens on the doors. Most people have trouble with the blinds but I never thought it was an issue until you mentioned it. I could have resolved that for you had I known. Good communication during your stay is paramount as I want all my guests to have the best holiday. I hope you and your family enjoyed beautiful Belize and all it has to offer. All the best for 2026!

A wonderful get-away property for the whole family

The home helped make our trip to Belize very memorable. The property is beautiful, well-kept and clean. The rooms are spacious, airy and bright. The infinity pool was a huge hit with everyone and the beach/ocean at the doorstep was wonderful - falling asleep listening to the lapping waves was pretty easy to get used to! The wifi was also pretty solid - this was important as we still had to get some work done while on vacation. We also appreciated the walking distance to restaurants, the ice cream shop and Jaguar Lanes was a huge hit! And Jack with the property management company was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.
