Just two hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Knoxville, this newly refreshed 4-bedroom, 3-bath lakefront home offers the perfect escape for couples, families, or groups.

Step inside and enjoy the fresh new design touches throughout, blending modern comfort with cozy lakeside charm. The gourmet kitchen, open-concept living and dining, and expansive 60-foot screened porch with panoramic lake views set the stage for memorable gatherings.

Unwind in the hot tub, grill on the deck, or cozy up by the stone fireplace at the lakeside pavilion. The private dock is ready for your boat, jet ski, or enjoy a peaceful paddle on our four kayaks!

Happy Retreat was the perfect weekend getaway at Nottley Lake. It is clear Lauren takes care of this property and ensures an exceptional level of cleanliness and homeyness. The home was well stocked with essentials and it was easy to feel right at home. We rented a boat from Nottley Boat Club and Marina and it was fantastic. If you’re looking for a easy getaway, Happy Retreat is perfect!

Beautiful picture perfect setting! The house was fully stocked with everything you could need. Plenty of towels, bedding, kitchen supplies. Beds are very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to come back!

Great house

We spent the 4th of July here and made some wonderful family memories. The house was fully stock and there was enough room for everyone! Clean and comfortable. It honestly felt like a homey! The kids loved the lake access and the adults love the sunsets! We couldn't have asked for more it was a wonderful home!

Absolutely perfect getaway!

Everything was perfect! Lake views were amazing, close to marina for boat rentals! Beds were super comfy! Everything was thoughtfully done.. all essentials provided and more (even provided all we needed for smores). We enjoyed a fire by the water every night! Great location.. very clean, property very nicely maintained. Tons of pool towels available…hosts were very responsive. Looking at booking again next summer!

Family getaway

We traveled from florida with our family. This house was amazing and had all the amenities you could ask for. We enjoyed fishing, swimming and boating from the dock. The sunset views from the dock were amazing. Everyone enjoyed all the deer that would pass through the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful stay!

Enjoyed our stay! The house is fully stocked with kitchen items, towels, and games. The view is gorgeous, just as pictured. We had an amazing time playing in the water and connecting with family!

Cozy home with beautiful views

My family had a wonderful experience! The home was very clean and the perfect size for two large families with kids. So many positive things to say about this property…The downstairs area was the perfect kids retreat — our group enjoyed hours of fun at the air hockey table. The main level’s open space was great for socializing, playing games (lots of fun board games and puzzles) and enjoying meals (kitchen equipped with lots of cooking gadgets). There were plenty of cozy blankets, lots of lake towels and very comfortable beds. The extra large washing machine and dryer was a bonus. The spacious screened porch was one of our favorite spots to dine, relax and enjoy the spectacular lake sunsets. Above all, the outdoor area was incredible — nicely manicured grass area for the kids to play, deck with fireplace for s’mores (had to buy our own wood), and the perfect dock for our boat rental. The only “nice to have” for this property would have been a paddle board and/or kayak (however we bought an inflatable paddle board at the last minute which worked great). The owners provided lots of information about the area and were very responsive with any questions we had. We would definitely consider visiting this beautiful home in the future.

Lake Getaway

Excellent location for acccess to the lake for all water activities; skiing, tubing, fishing, swimming, or just lakeside hanging out. The deck near the water is a great feature to serve as a place to eat, hangout, or have a fire in the evening. Unlike a lot of properties, it has a short walk and gentle slope to to the lake. The property location is easy to access and plenty of parking with a circular driveway. A short drive to Blairsville or Murphy. Our family had a great week at the property!

One of the best places we have stayed!!

This house was amazing! It is beyond fully stalked with everything you need in the kitchen to cook and the bathrooms. Tons of towels to use, both inside and outside. Perfect for our family size with plenty of room for everyone!! Overall great great place, you will not be disappointed!!

Family get together

Loved the place! Very clean, good amenities, hot tub worked well, they had games to play, worked well for 10 adults. The only semi complaint I have is that the furnace kept waking me up bc we had the bedroom that had the loud furnace in it. Would definitely stay here again but would love to in the summer to enjoy the lake.

You'll be happy if you stay here

This is a lovely rental home very well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of towels and extra blankets. The kitchen has everything needed and then extra. The covered deck was perfect for early morning wake ups and the hot tub was a wonderful way to end the day.

LOVED this place so much!

We had two families (including 5 kids) who needed a little getaway. This was the PERFECT place for us! Great spaces to all be together, but plenty of space when anyone needed time to themselves. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen. The beds were super comfortable plus they offered plenty of extra towels and blankets. They also had indoor blankets for cozying up on the couch, and outdoor blankets for sipping morning coffee when it was still chilly outside. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! But we definitely hope to be back!

Family Fun on the Lake

We had a great time at this wonderful home on Lake Nottely. It had plenty of room for our family of 12. The kids played air hockey and Jenga. We had smores on the deck by the outdoor fireplace. We rented a pontoon boat and used the dock for our lake access touring. Very clean place with all the amenities you need. Thanks Lauren!

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a great time at Happy Retreat with our kids and grandkids. The house offers plenty of space for everyone to spread out from the awesome screened porch with a fabulous lake view, the deck with the hot tub, the large grassy backyard, and the lakeside gazebo. It was an easy walk down to the dock where we spent hours swimming and fishing off the dock, paddle boarding and kayaking. The gazebo by the lake is wonderful for evening marshmallow roasts. And everyone loved the hot tub!

Family Fun

The property was super clean! Beautiful Lake View. Brought our boat for water sports, rope swing and fishing. Swimming off the dock was a daily event for the whole family. Hope to stay again!

An awesome house on the lake!

This house is spacious, clean, well stocked, and in a great location! Lauren is sweet and answered all our questions quickly. My family of 4, my parents, my sister, & my nephew (8 total people) all stayed in the house and we had plenty of room. The house was clean and nicely decorated. It also has everything in it that you would need. The kitchen is well stocked, there are beach towels, lots of board & card games, puzzles, books, extra blankets, & yard games. The kids loved the big back yard to play in! The mountain views and sunsets are amazing. Every night we were on the back porch or down at the gazebo watching the sun set. The outdoor firepit on the lake was wonderful. The kids loved doing s'mores! We also enjoyed the hot tub. There is a boat ramp right down the road, which was very convenient for us since we brought our boat. The driveway at the house is large and we were able to fit 2 cars, a boat trailer, and a truck with room to spare. The dock at the house is nice and we loved that we could just tie up our boat each night and not have to worry about pulling it out of the water daily. The neighbors we met in the community were all so nice and welcoming. Each day we saw several deer in the front and back yards. The lake is quiet, which made tubing and skiing easy to do. The kids loved jumping off the cliffs, swinging from the rope swings and exploring the different islands on the lake. Overall we absolutely loved this house and can't wait to come back next summer!

A Host for Comfort

This property is beautiful and set up so smartly for vacationing families. We had a short-notice trip for a funeral with lots of family trying to come in from all over the country. A group of us were able to stay here and share memories and fellowship good for the soul! The beds (all of them) were SO comfortable, plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets (it was a COLD weekend). All ages found things to do and areas to hang out. We didn't use the outside amenities much (did I mention it was cold??), but we're looking forward to booking again in the warmer months. We had a small hiccup with a water heater that wasn't working, but Lauren & Mike got with us quickly and we were able to trouble shoot the problem and get it working again. We've stayed in several rental properties over the last 5 years, and this is by far my favorite for overall layout, amenities, and host - and it couldn't have come at a better time as our family mourned the loss of a loved one. Thank you so very much!

House in a great location to explore the mountains.

We had an enjoyable stay and the house is well stocked and equipped. It’s great for two families. We visited in between Christmas and New Years, we were unaware that the lake is drained during the winter and were disappointed that we could not let the younger boys fish from the dock. Knowing that I would have preferred to stay here during the summer months.

A Peaceful Respite in a Lovely Location

Our family just spent a wonderful 5 days in this charming, comfortable home that is beautifully situated with a fabulous view! The pretty sunrises over the peaceful lake, the many deer roaming the area, and the nightly gatherings around the fire pit were all a much needed reset from city living. We felt like we had taken a step back in time. The grounds are well maintained, and all the outdoor living spaces are terrific and well cared for. The house was clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious, with all the comforts of home. It was fully stocked with everything we could have needed! The owners take great pride in their home and it shows. Lauren was always available and friendly. Overall, it was an excellent experience, we enjoyed every second of our stay! We would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. The lake is beautiful!

Very comfortable and clean. Perfect landscaping for playing games outside. Cabins nearby are on levels too high for easy access to lake and parking. Loved everything about this cabin.

This home is comfy for 2 people, but also great for a large family to spread out! Our 60ft screened porch is fantastic for year-round relaxing and views! We have an additonal grilling dining deck and a lakefront deck with covered area and fireplace, perfect for roasting marshmellows!
