Luxury Rustic Desert Hacienda - Privacy, Views, Salt-water Pool & Spa

Welcome to Hacienda Vaquero! Originally built as a contemporary Spanish, the house has been 100% rebuilt over the course of 2 years by the renowned LA firm Saxony Design Build. It is now a rustic Spanish Colonial desert Hacienda, inspired by the finest luxury Haciendas & boutique hotels we have visited throughout Mexico and South America. Pristinely located in the center of Palm Springs, the interior of the house has soaring ceilings highlighted by knotty beams, rustic mahogany doors, wrought iron hardware, antique European wood flooring, a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with Thermador appliances, custom made and antique furnishings, and mesmerizing tiled bathrooms done in a variety of handmade tiles from Mexico. The entire home is configured with a Sonos sound system, which you can control wirelessly through your phone/tablet. For those cool desert nights, there is a cozy fireplace in the great room and for those warm days the back of the house is filled with french doors leading to your own private oasis outside.

The yard consists of a salt-water swimming pool and en-caustic concrete tiled spa. There are multiple seating and lounging areas outdoors including dining for 14, a shaded outside living room with a huge antique daybed from Bali, a bistro table for 2, poolside chaises for 4, and relaxing loungers around a large firepit. All of this is surrounded by the breathtaking mountain views & California fan palms. Being a bit farther away from the mountain is key to the success of the outdoor spaces in the house; you get almost an extra hour of sunlight (and sunsets) during the day as compared to the homes close to downtown (and those huge mountains)!

The house sleeps 10 total; there are 4 bedrooms including the Casita. Booking the property includes the entire home with three bedrooms and the pull-out sleeper in the living room. The casita sleeps 2 and is completely private and separate from the main house with plenty of room for the air mattresses if so needed.

There is free wifi and all bedrooms have SAMSUNG SmartTV's. Each room has a variety of luxurious cotton linens. The smaller bedroom has two twin beds, the larger bedrooms all have king beds, the living room has a pull-out queen sleeper and all rooms have large closets. We also have 1 Twin Air Mattress and 1 Queen Air Mattress. There is an elegant round dining table that seats up to 9 for interior dining or game night. The breakfast bar in the kitchen seats 3 atop the striking marble countertops and handmade tile backsplash, and there is a high capacity washer and dryer inside the garage.

The attention to detail in this home is like no other available on the vacation rental market in Palm Springs; you will never stay anywhere else after a night in this spectacular space. It is filled with charm, character, and authentic touches from all over the world.

Home may be rented for special events such as photo shoots, birthday parties or weddings (under 40 guests total) for a fee of $5000, this fee is non negotiable and additional to your fee if renting the home for such events.

The easiest way to book the house is through the 'Book Now' button to the right. You can also get an exact quote by entering your dates and number of guests. These quotes always include the cleaning fee and security deposit, but does not include pool heating. Winter/Spring pool heating is available for $85/day and must be for the entire stay if added to your reservation (from the day you check in through the day you check out). Please be aware that there are surveillance cameras around the property. They run 24/7 but are not monitored unless an issue arises.

Participate locally: If you arrive by Thursday, the Palm Springs' downtown area 'Village Fest' on Palm Canyon Drive is transformed into a bustling street fair...Artists, craftsmen, food vendors, musicians and entertainers are there to entertain. Stock up on local farm veggies/fruit or enjoy some great people watching. There's also the Palm Spring Vintage Market on the 1st Sunday of every month thats only a 10 minute walk from the house.

Also experience, on Friday from 4pm to 9pm, 'First Friday On North Palm Canyon' (every month, year-round), between Tachevah and Amado Road, featuring entertainment, food and fun, where more than 50 antique furnishings and art stores remain open into the late evening.
