Enjoy peaceful getaway at end of the road hideaway. 8 acres, 3200sq' cabin, 5 bedrooms, master w/Cal king, 2 bedrooms with Queen , 1 bedroom with full, Upstairs with 4 singles, 2 bath. Dining rm seats 12+, full kitchen seats 6, laundry. Fire pits. Located on point, Lower Twin Lake on one side Shell River the other. Jet/Ski/boat/Canoe the beautiful river or lake, fishing is excellent, shack available. Surrounded by 5 State Parks/ hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, RV/snowmobile trails. Perfect for groups/reunions/employee getaways, hunters. Two canoes, 2 kayaks, paddle boat, Dingy, and fishing boat with oars included with rental.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Whispering Pines. It has everything we needed. We enjoy the secluded privacy and the beautiful river. Host was quick to respond. Highly recommended.

Really unique place. Very spacious. All bases are covered. It's like a large family left a place they loved and had forever and left ALL of their stuff AND bought all the stuff you might need. We bring a little boat with a little motor to navigate and float the river which can be shallow. New patio and fire pit are awesome. We have it for a third stay next year and probably others.

We had a wonderful family weekend; the Grandkids enjoyed hours and hours of swimming and loved the kayaks and paddle boat. The location was great and the cabin had all the things we needed! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great stay! There was plenty of room for our family and really enjoyed the kayaks provided. We were able to float down the river right from the house- what a fun way to spend a few hours on a hot day. We already rented again for next summer!

Working-Vacation

Nice place to stay with lots of room and the kids had their own beds which is something they do have at home. Really enjoyed the use of the canoe.

Annual Family. Cabin trip

Description and pictures were accurate. It was very relaxing space, short drive into Park Rapids for some fun shopping, and a great outdoor space for all cousins to hang out and have a good time. Curt was amazing with answering all inquiries quickly. Overall a nice to place to stay!!

Repeat stay

Our family enjoyed our second great stay at this beautiful cabin and location. The space in the cabin is perfect for our yearly family gathering, and the location is so gorgeous, between the river and the lake. Curt is very quick to respond to any questions as well. Thanks Curt, we plan to be back!

The place was amazing, so much room and stocked with everything we needed. Enjoyed the outdoor water toys ( kayaks, boat, paddle boat.). We didn’t use the canoes. The trail was great, peaceful and quiet. We booked for next year already….. The host Curt was so accommodating.

Secluded

Quiet end of the road in the woods cabin. We loved it plenty of beds & lots of space to spread out. The canoes & row boat were well used by the kids. Kids enjoyed the chipmunks! Owner was very responsive.

Fall friends getaway

We had a wonderful fall getaway. The place was specious, quiet, and well stocked. Exterior of building needs updating but surprisingly interior was very nice. Accommodated 5 couples well. Different bedroom setup for each couple though.

Great Place to Stay on the River!!

Our group of 10 absolutely loved this property! Right on the river where you can swim, tube, canoe, kayak, and boat! This property and house were huge! Plenty of room to hang out inside or out! The house had everything you need for a large group of people! We definitely want to stay here again! In the woods, private yard, amazing river! No complaints!

Fam Damily Vacation 2023

We enjoyed our stay again this year. Even though the river was a little lower than expected the kids still had fun playing. We also went into Menahga to swim at Spirit Lake which has a beautiful beach only 3 miles away. This cabin is close enough to Park Rapids that we were able to take in some tourists' attractions there also.

The spot was so private and relaxing.all enjoyed the water toys. Even the smallest was able to kayak with the sandy beach area. We were unable to park our 37 ft camper there to many trees for the slide outs and not much room to turn around. Family played games that were there and a fire every night with barbecue. Thank you for sharing your space.

Appreciate your staying with us. Water levels do unfortunately get lower toward end of summer. Keep us in mind for future vacations as we intend to upgrade regularly including clearing lakeside dock area for better access.

Annual Family Vacation

Though this home is a bit rustic, it was clean, stocked with fresh water, bedding, towels, etc! And they also provided firewood ( we did bring much of own but when it turned cool, we were glad to have a bit more!). Your thoughtfulness to the little details was commendable! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Minnesota-Wisconsin native who returning to the peaceful lands of Minnesota and looking to share our home with those who seek lake, river and nature fun. This property is excellent for a peaceful break from the city and day to day rush of work priorities.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

Vacationed at this property as a child and have many happy and fulfilling memories. Excited to have the opportunity to return per diem and enjoy "The Great Outdoors". Looking forward to completing upgrades and renovations in the upcoming years.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

This property is at the Point joining Lower Twin Lake and Shell River. Unique, as it is at the end of the road. No through traffic. Water is deep enough for fishing boats but shallow enough for children and adults to enjoy. A walking path has been maintained around the point for a back to nature experience. Surrounding roads are maintained and groomed dirt/gravel roads. Nearest towns are Menahga and Park Rapids. Local people are welcoming and very pleasant. Nice place to visit!
