Comfortable Family Retreat with Great Views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Comfortable, clean and charming! An older but well-maintained home with personality. Well-stocked -- we had everything we needed, including a grill -- in a quiet location and fantastic views. Wildlife viewing right from the cabin, including orcas, river otters, harbor seals, a bald eagle perched on a tree by the deck, a fox, and some deer. Clear instructions and good communication from the management company so there was no confusion or unpleasant surprises. Quick access to the alpaca farm and Roche Harbor. Also appreciated the discounts for booking excursions for kayaking and whale watching cruises! We would come back to stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway from the crowds.

Incredible View

Spacious home with incredible views, comfy beds, and a great hot tub (also with an amazing view). We would definitely stay again!

Really enjoyed being able to slow down and watch the winter rain roll in over the water. San Juan Half Crew

This was the perfect place to stay Before the Half Marathon!! You cannot beat the view on the deck and we had plenty of room!!

Lovely home with a fantastic view

We loved staying here. It was exactly as it looked in the pictures, especially the view! We loved relaxing on the back deck and we even had a little sea otter friend who visited our beach every day. Close enough to town to get there easily but far enough away that we felt like we were in our own private sanctuary. Would definitely stay here again!

A Nice Getaway

We had a wonderful experience. There was plenty of room for just two of us. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and spices. The hot tub area was improved and updated from the pictures. So that was nice. We would stay here again.

Beautiful view! Peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. Plenty of kitchen amenities. Fun and interesting chairs to sit it. A fooseball table! Appreciated all the paper products available for use, such as toilet paper and paper towels. Thank you!

Clean, roomy, great view, easy drive to Roche Harbor or Friday Harbor.Big drawback: hot tub stopped working after 10 minutes of use, and needed parts that would not arrive until after our visit was over. Rental agency was responsive when I called.

The most incredible view we loved it. Couple things I would suggest maybe stock salt and pepper so your guests don’t have to go back in town and we were wondered about the lock on the deck door. I guess I should say there is no lock on on the deck door. And the fire alarm went off all in all we had a wonderful time

Spring break

The house was amazing! My family of four had a wonderful spring break on the island. We had busy days and coming back to the house with a hot tub and a place to have a fire outside was so nice. You seriously can’t beat the views either. We would totally stay again. Also, my family is still talking about how comfortable the beds were.

Lovely home!

The house location and views are outstanding. There was a surplus of cooking utensils, dishware, appliances, and bedding. The check in process was super easy and clear. One suggestion would be to have coffee on hand. Overall such a great stay, thank you very much!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is old and smelled musty downstairs. Furniture and bedding are old and warn and not attractive at all. The main living area had 2 sofas that were not comfortable and one of them was under the tv facing away from tv or window - how is that useful - there was a sign instructing to not move the sofa, so evidently other guests have felt the same The property is advertised as pet friendly but again a large sign threatening a $200.00 fine if pets were on the furniture or beds. Why not just not allow pets? We were not there when we needed a fire, but both fireplaces had signs saying fireplaces were not for guest use! Why not make one a gas fireplace so guest could safely use it. All the signs restricting use were over the top. Outdoor table and chairs were dirty with mold. We own 3 vacation properties which we rent so I am well aware of what it takes to keep your property updated with nice furnishings, linens and kitchen supplies. It can be costly but we take great pride in our properties and want them to be as nice as my home would be. Why rent it if you are not going to put the effort and expense in making sure all guests have a great experience?

What a view!

The view was exceptional! Besides all the boats we saw whales, deer, otters and seals. The sunsets were beautiful. We loved our time on the deck. It's true that house is a little tired and the kitchen is dated, but that did not really distract from our stay. The house was very clean and well stocked, and the hot tub very well maintained. We have stayed in many rentals and would rate this one very high.

Cozy Island Retreat with Water View

We enjoyed watching the storm, and luckily did not lose power. Bring your flashlights just in case if you're visiting during storm season.

Nothing beats this view

What a stunning view and hot tub! The house was comfortable and felt homey. This isn’t a pristine home or property, which didn’t bother us but felt different than the listing a bit. It feels like a cozy, well-loved gma-like cabin with comfortable furniture and also a bit of deferred maintenance in places. Overall, you can’t beat this view and the hot tub was perfect (though the approach and path was a bit precarious). Enjoyed our stay and hot tub experience!
