We have stayed at Cantamar with this host before and we are thoroughly impressed with the friendly hospitality and coziness of this property. The pool area is private and the snorkeling is great! The hosts and their property manager are so kind and having our groceries picked up and ready for us when we arrived was so handy! The beds are super comfortable and we love the location. We can walk into town and there are multiple options for restaurants minutes away.

We had a great time on the site, snorkeled, walked to food, cooked, rested, and otherwise really enjoyed ourselves. The condo was very quiet and we never saw any other neighbors. The condo was well stocked with cookware and other items.

Cantamar - Isla Cozumel

Had a lovely vacation of scuba diving and snorkeling on the best part of the island. Location of Cantamar could not be any better. The condo was spacious and perfect for relaxing. Washer and dryer was a huge bonus! Definitely coming back 😎🏝️

Wonderful!

Cantamar 303 was a great condo and was very well equipped with everything needed-including beach towels! The location was good-especially when enjoying the authentic local restaurants! The snorkeling out front was amazing and the views incredible! We will definitly be back! Thank you!

Lovely property in all aspects. Beautiful condo, pool and oceanfront area. Amazing snorkeling right out your back door. Everything thing is clean and easy to navigate. Attentive and friendly owner, property management and maintenance. Cozumel is beautiful. Easy walk to town once the sun has set. 5-stars and hope to visit again soon.

Great diving vacations!

We rented this condo for the second year in a row. Again, we were not disappointed…. I is very well located, not far from many restaurant in town… there is a convenient parking space. The place is impeccably clean, including the condo itself, but also the pool and the sand area. The view is incredible, sunsets are amazing. Big balcony, great snorkeling… and so nicely decorated! You can’t go wrong renting this place! The owners are readily available by phone is there is anything, and their staff is great! We will be back again and again!

Five nights is not enough

The view is amazing even from inside the condo! I could go on & on about how wonderful this place is-everything is beyond perfect. The decor is authentic which is important to me & having sand, sunshade and lounge chairs is wonderful. Snorkeling right outside the door is fantastic w/fish, rays & coral. If I could live the rest of my life here I would!

A week in paradise!

We have stayed at several locations in our 20 plus years visiting Cozumel, but Cantamar quickly became our favorite. The moment you walk in the door you are immersed in Mexican culture with the authentic hacienda decor. You want for nothing, every creature comfort was made available to make you feel at home. The property manager did all of our shopping for us so we had a full refrigerator of our favorites. The property is a short 15 minute walk into town, yet you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle. The snorkeling along the property is by far the best we have experienced on the island. We saw sea life we had not seen before including sea turtles and a spotted eagle ray! We can’t wait to return to Cantamar someday soon!!

Gorgeous setting, great accommodations!

This condo was in the perfect location - just a 15-20 minute walk to the north end of the square. Easy to get to the corner market, and less traffic and noise than properties to the south. Very beautiful setting, the water was full of rock formations and some coral so plenty to see when snorkeling right at the edge of the deck. Pretty pool, very clean exterior amenities. The Condo is beautifully furnished with authentic Mexican materials/tile/wood/art. The beds had very nice mattresses, nice sheets, great beach towels and some snorkeling equipment there for our use. The kitchen was well stocked with most things we needed to prep meals ourselves for several of our days. Laura was a fantastic help - she provided groceries when we arrived so we did not have to spend our vacation time doing that. The owners were quick to respond to any questions. We loved our stay!

Snorkeling fantastic/great location

We just returned from 8 night stay for our family of 5. Jill and Truett were so responsive and welcoming. Highlights...location awesome, reef outstanding (octopus, filefish, rays, trunkfish, squid, queen angels, eels, etc.). House is well maintained, clean and cozy. Loved having our coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean. We did a shop at Mega, great bakery items for the morning, fruit and snacks. We appreciated that house had a cooler for us to use, which came in handy. Restaurant guide was helpful for sure. We loved El Moro and went 2 nights, one of which they cooked the mahi we had caught on a fishing/snorkel trip Eduardo helped arrange. We also liked Cuatro Taco. We rented a car from ISIS for week (nice people but tired car...we didn’t mind but some people may). If you like to explore and adventure then definitely recommend a car. Day tripped to Tulum which a fun outing. Cantamar is fantastic and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a friend.

Great location with "private beach" & snorkeling!

We loved our time at Cantamar. The unit was perfect for our family of 4 and you can't beat the ocean view. The property is well maintained. The snorkeling is great in front of the condo, which we did everyday seeing an eel, sting rays, puffers, starfish, and tons of beautiful fish. Entrance into and out of the water is by ladder. The property swimming pool is fantastic and very clean. Below the pool is a beach like area with sand, chairs and a couple shade areas. Your own private beach! Location is just over a mile into town center and dock. Mega grocery store is 1.8 miles away - quick taxi ride or nice walk there and taxi back to condo (we did both). There are 3-4 restaurants within a short walk! We ate at 2 of them a couple times each. We love to walk in the mornings and went north from the condo. Nice walking paths for 2.5 miles. Condo owners communicate very well and you will have a plethora of information before your arrival.

Turtle and Eagle Ray spied from the balcony

Two friends stayed in 303 the first week in May. I've been to Cozumel many, many times, but this was my first stay at Cantamar. We'll be back. Prop mgr Laura was waiting at condo for us to arrive (text from airport, and she'll know you're on your way). Quick tour of condo, and vacation was underway! Condo was just as advertised. Lovely decor. Everything works (TV, A/C, appliances). Beds were fine, plenty of towels - bath and beach. Everything you need in the kitchen, including blender and coffee maker. Nice that there were basics - salt/pepper/olive oil/sugar - so we didn't have to buy full sized products for a week's stay. Big washer/dryer (beware, the dryer is not properly vented, so it takes a long time to dry a big load of towels). We walked down to La Monina/La Aldea/Hemingways for lunch/dinner a few times. **Very** convenient to walk, not taxi, for every meal out. Pool area was spotless! Perfect for a cooling plunge. It is a full 3 flights of stairs between the sea and the condo, so those with mobility issues, beware. Only complaint was that our neighbors, renting condo next door, were chain smokers on the balcony. Cut a couple of my morning coffee sessions short as soon as they started puffing away. But, nothing can be done about that. They were obeying (what I assume was) their condo rule - no smoking inside. I just took my book and coffee down to the pool deck. Problem solved. Gracias for another wonderful Cozumel week.

Amazing Property

If I could give this place more stars I would. I agree with the other postings. The snorkling accessible from the condo's water entrance is magnificent. It's some of the best snorkling I've experienced and you don't need to go anywhere, just get right in. A lot of places say that they are tastefully decorated but this one actually is :). The kitchen is also very nicely stocked which is a huge plus. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants (8 minute walk) and didn't really feel like we needed a car. We definitely plan to stay here again. An absolute gem.

This place is something special

We stayed at this beautiful condo as part of our honeymoon and couldn't have made a better choice. Our communication with the owner and manager was excellent from the beginning. The condo itself is decorated very nicely and that view..that view is to die for. We ended up turning off the ac and letting the ocean breezes come in and it was delightful. We highly recommend 303.

Beautiful Condo and Location

This condo was perfect. It was far enough away from town to experience quiet, yet close enough to go shopping and to restaurants every day. The unit was beautifully decorated and met all of our family's needs. We snorkeled in various locations on the island, but the snorkeling in front of the condo was the best--no need to go elsewhere! We will most definitely be back!

Just as described - the perfect location on Cozumel for us

We were so pleased with the location and property itself. Easy to drive up to and access. Secure. Right on the water with a great outdoor area with pool and lounging area, and easy access to snorkeling right in front of the property. The condo was nice, as expected from the pictures. Beautiful condo, great area, excellent snorkeling!

My family and I loved Jill and Truett’s condo just north of the city in Cozumel. The space itself was clean and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and large balcony to enjoy the stunning view of the water. The location is also excellent, with many of the restaurants we went to in walking distance, but still far away enough from the action to allow for peace and quiet. The building’s pool and beach area lead out to excellent snorkeling, and are a very comfortable place to spend the day without needing to find a beach club. This was not our first time in Cozumel, but it was our first not in a resort, and renting this condo was an excellent decision that allowed us to enjoy the many attractions (like the beautiful and secluded Punta Sur) and restaurants that the island has to offer. We’d love to come again!
