Jennifer’s works have been published in Southern Living magazine and Country Living Magazine twice. Her decorating has also been featured in several episodes of HGTV. She has painstakingly designed this beautiful cottage for comfort, convenience and style. Located just minutes from the downtown shopping district, Gastehaus 402 boasts a very roomy, loft-style living quarters adorned with beautiful accents and black and white professional photos. This Cottage is just perfect for a romantic get-away, but also versatile enough for a girl’s weekend out. Come experience the beauty of the Texas Hill Country and Fredericksburg at 402 Gastehaus.

Loved this little cottage

This was the perfect cottage for our stay. Easy to locate and so close to Main Street. Loved the decor and vibe. Great place to stay and hope we can book here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Perfect Getaway

My daughter and I absolutely adored the property. The vibe was exactly what we were looking for, to include, the close proximity of Main Street. We appreciate the hospitality and although the main house was literally steps away, we felt completely separate and private. Thank you for making our trip complete! I would definitely recommend to Family and Friends. ❤️

Housekeeping

Both nights that we stayed, we were welcomed with ants that were either dead and or alive. We did our best to remove them from the bed. While sleeping I was bit not once but twice. I did inform the management company and they were graciously giving on changing all the linens. As we were out and about we had our guest pop up again. We had sleepless nights not knowing if we were going to get bitten again and have them crawl on us while we were sleeping.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Gausthaus 402 was a perfect choice for my wife and I during a much needed weekend wine country escape. Very clean and comfortable with nice touches throughout. The bed & couch were cozy and comfortable, which is always important for a restful stay. The location was perfect as it was close enough to walk to everything but amazingly quiet at night. We had a slight issue with the heater and the response from Escapes and the owner was fast & efficient. They had it resolved right away with great communication, which I greatly appreciated. Highly recommend staying here.

Great Place

The backyard guesthouse is in a great location and well put together! We walked to Main Street easily. Several restaurants and the WWII museum are a block away. The guesthouse is very well decorated, with lots of thought out into it. We’ll be back!

Quaint space for 2 close to Main St

Good location as it was walking distance to Main St. near the stores. Neat little 1 bed 1 bathroom place for a quick getaway. Worked well for us but we don’t need extravagant accommodations. Only issues seen: on arrival it was pretty warm outside. The AC was turned completely off and it was 81 in the room. Had we wanted to rest before heading to Main St., it would have been miserable waiting for it to cool off. Then the note about turning it “on” and being responsible. Kinda confusing. Also no breakfast vouchers as stated online. Good thing we brought some stuff. We didn’t mind the washing of dishes but having to use the bathroom sink was different. Haha.
