Great stay! Host was very kind and allowed us a few extra hours. Pool was fantastic, residents very friendly as well. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this place! Super peaceful and quiet and REALLY DARK at night. You can see the milkyway and a million stars at night. The pool is just a short distance out the back door. Great walking trails right out front. The host was amazingly about communicating both before and during the stay. The EV charger was a lifesaver -- even the fancy resorts nearby didn't have this. Note: It's actually a 220 outlet in the carport, so you'll need to bring your own portable NACS or CCS1 charger to use it. The place is not slick like a fancy resort but super comfortable-- like staying at a friend's place while their out of town. And the owners really thought of EVERYTHING. Huge TV, Roku, DVDs, games, fully equipped kitchen, and every thing you would need or want on a stay away from home. Would stay here again without hesitation!

Very cute little place. Host was pleasant, helpful and very quick to respond when we had trouble getting in upon arrival.

We had a great stay over Thanksgiving. The condo is lovely, conveniently located and the kitchen had all we needed!

In a nice peaceful area. Plenty of dining options available for a short stay. The property itself was clean, but has funky kind of smell, almost musty like. Hard to describe. I think it's just the old carpeting. Beyond that, I definitely enjoyed the location.

Very disappointing stay. The place felt generally dirty and had a strong stale, closed-up smell, like old materials and poor ventilation. It looks decent at first because of a few cheap appliances, but it’s clear the property is run on the cheap and only superficially cleaned. Wardrobes were cluttered with leftover items, we found expired food in the kitchen cabinets, and overall it didn’t feel fresh or hygienic. When we asked about a refund, the only solution offered was to send someone late in the day to “clean,” which wouldn’t fix years of superficial cleaning. Would not stay here again.

Great location

Owner was very responsive to any questions and comments about the rental. Any suggestions were taken seriously and issues dealt with. Comfortable bed. Please be aware that the owner must also stay here at times as some closets and cupboards have the owner's personal things stored there so you need to work around that. It is not a big issue.

Great little 1-BR condo

Our first visit to Anza Borrego (one week). The condo's central location optimized seeing vista 'hot spots' each day with easy returns for food and rest. Vintage-with-upgrades, very clean, ample supplies (for 2 people) for a 4-night stay. Parking for one vehicle right outside; very private from neighbors; pool access just beyond the back door/patio. Nov temps and weather were PERFECT (even witnessed the moon eclipsed our last night...WOW-thanks Derek! LOL). There's a lot to see in AB, so coming back is definitely in the cards, and we'll work to stay there again. Yes, the owner was amazing, alerting us to a scheduled overnight power outage, and a few glitches with our cell service. Verizon and AT&T are strong, we had issues with Boost, and it worked for us by directing communications via emails. WIFI was seamless. Everything worked out very well and we can highly recommend the condo. Great owner too.

Cluttered, dark and shabby

Borrego Springs is a wonderful place to spend a few weeks; we enjoy hiking and cycling here. However, I cannot recommend this specific apartment for more than a few days – at least not until the owner does a thorough cleaning and decluttering. Except for a tiny chest of drawers in the bedroom, every closet, cupboard and drawer is stuffed. There are fake plants and other tchotchkes on every surface. The dishwasher and the bathroom fan are LOUD. The oven fan and front screen door are broken. The carpets and furniture are old; the dining chairs are cheap and rickety; and the lighting is poor. Two people could manage here for a few days, but no more. Which is really a shame, because the Club Circle subdivision is quite attractive – beautifully landscaped and quiet at night. And don’t plan on using the pool – it’s unheated and freezing.

The extra blankets, kitchen appliances like the ice maker, and waffle iron, and items stocked in the closets are included based on feedback from many of our guests who appreciate these touches, particularly those staying for extended periods. We understand, however, that this might not align with every guest’s preferences, and we’re sorry you felt the space was cluttered. To clarify, the bedroom does have a closet and a six-drawer dresser available for guest use, but we appreciate your feedback and will review ways to better balance functionality and convenience. We’re always open to constructive suggestions and continuously strive to improve the guest experience for both short-term visitors and our typical winter guests, who often stay for a month or longer.
