Relaxing Getaway Among the Trees - 4 Bedroom - Dogs Welcome!

Bring the whole family for a quiet, relaxing getaway tucked away in the most peaceful spot on the island. Conveniently located in the center of the village. A few minutes away from the beach, restaurants, and shops. Take a short walk to Pelican Pub, Dockside Seafood Restaurant, the Lighthouse Bakery, Miguel's, Beach Planet, the many activities at Green Park, mini golf, basketball courts, a skate park, and so much more.

Our home offers large, comfortable front and back porches, well-suited for relaxation and enjoying the gentle breeze. Enjoy time together in the family area below the house, offering a propane grill, table and chairs, & a hammock to relax.

Well equipped, inviting kitchen perfect for family conversation and memory making. The large island has 4 chairs for dining and an additional kitchen table allows for additional seating. The kitchen opens to a comfy family room to watch TV, play games, or relax on the reclining couches. We offer DirecTV, including NFL Sunday Ticket on a large smart TV that allows you to log into your favorite streaming app (Netflix, Hulu, etc).

The home comfortably sleeps a total of 9 people.

Great communication and the most streamlined, EASIEST check-in/access of any VRBOs weve stayed at! Hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. The place has EVERYTHING needed down to the spices. Gas grill-- propane included. Plenty of space for large groups. Looking forward to a return trip.

Memorial Day stay

We came over for a Memorial Day weekend. We had the best time. The home was filled with everything we needed. We had a 14 month old and he had a great time. The house has nice beds, bathrooms supplies, a very well equipped kitchen. with just about anything you would need. We stayed at a private beach the host told us about. She sent us a message to go to the police dept at the end of the street and get a free parking pass for our stay. It was good for the private beaches. Police were very kind and gave us a map of all the private beaches and a map of the island. It was just a very small walk to the private beach once we parked. Parking at public beaches is 10$ per day per car. We rented a golf cart online and it arrived shortly after we arrived. It was nice to ride the island on a street legal cart. The house had umbrellas and beach chairs we took to the beach, which helped with the baby. We had a great time in this house. Just a small drive to anything you want to do and restaurants. This house is not beach front, it sits in town on a very quiet road. A small drive to the beaches. It was a great experience for all of us. Especially my baby Grandson! He LOVED the waves coming in. We sat at the water front. It was a relaxing weekend for all.

Great place to stay

Just a couple minutes from both east and west beaches, along with a 30 minute ferry ride to gulf shores. Very nice owners, got back to questions within minutes. They are very knowledgeable of the area which helped. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Pleasurable Stay

The place was very clean, great layout for our group! Loved front and back porches! Just wanted to inform owners about a few things: 5 bicycles, only 1 useable Opened Condiments found in refrigerator (we did not use them) Could not find washing detergent to start load of towels upon checkout as requested. Loved the stay!!

Nice house in quiet neighborhood

The home had everything we needed and was comfortable. Location was good. Would have given 5 stars for cleaning; however, the fridge had a terrible fish smell from previous guests. I believe cleaning staff worked on this because there was strong bleach smell when we first arrived, but fish smell was stronger! This was our only issue in otherwise great stay.

Perfect Getaway

This was our first time renting a house through any rental platform and I’m so glad I did my research! The house was beautiful, clean, and well stocked! A perfect vibe for our hive.

Monica’s place was cozy and accommodating, I couldn’t her quick replies whenever we reached out. Everyone had just the right space and the kitchen worked well for our group of 7. We loved the downstairs area for grilling and eating after a long day at the beach.

Monica and Dave live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our winters are long! We feel so lucky to have found our home on Dauphin Island. Together we have 5 children ranging in ages from 25 to 13. Our Dauphin Island home has been the perfect getaway to spend time together, enjoying time at the beach.

The Island Hideaway is the perfect place to relax. The home is located in the village, in the center of the island. It is conveniently located to any area of the island. It's a 5 minute walk to Pelican's Pub, Lighthouse Bakery, the Island Skatepark, and several other shops and restaurants. The balconies create a peaceful setting to unwind.
