SUMMARY
Urban Nest is a stylish one bedroom apartment located on the first floor (no lift) of a beautiful Victorian Style house. This is a remodeled apartment full of natural light and spacious areas, prepared with all conveniences for the modern traveler. It is located on a residential street, right on the heart of Ponta Delgada, where you can still park your car for free (day and night) while enjoying easy walking access to everywhere in the city.
DETAILS
Hi, i'm Monique, a designer born and raised in the Azores and this is my new guest apartment in Ponta Delgada. I'm already a "super host" at "Villa Várzea" since 2015 (if you are also looking for a place to stay in the countryside, check it out!) and "Casa do Bairro" (also here in Ponta Delgada). My passion is to flip old and outdated spaces transforming them into new ones where I myself would love to live. Plus...this island is my favorite place ever!
You will recognize the building right away, the tallest and most beautiful blue building on the street. At the welcome patio you will find the entrance door and the lock pad with your keys (code will be provided after booking). Once in, you will take a set of stairs up to the first floor where your Nest is located. High ceilings make the house look very tall, although it has really only two floors.
Once you open the door to your Nest, you have it all for yourself: an open kitchen, dining area and living room (sofa can be turned into a single bed); a bathroom with a shower; a work space with a balcony and a double bedroom.
Appliances available in the kitchen: fridge with freezer compartment, oven, stove top, coffee machine, toaster, kettle;
CHECK-IN
Even though you might not meet me in person, as I prepared this place with easy self check-in to allow you full freedom of time, do know I'm here if you need anything. I live in "Villa Várzea" and from there I commute almost every day to Ponta Delgada, to get the “Urban Nest” and “Casa do Bairro” ready for guests. So I'm happy to pass by if something is missing!
LIVE THE ISLAND CITY LIFE!
You can start your morning with a coffee, at a “café” downtown, or get your fresh batch of bread at the bakery nearby. You are at a 5 minute walk from a self service laundry, bakery, grocery shop, coffee shops, farmers market, and at a short walk from the best restaurants and bars where you can unwind at the end of the day, not needing to drive after a few drinks.
Despite being downtown, and unlike most of the streets with shops and bars in them, you can still enjoy tranquillity at the end of the day, as this is a residential only street.
NEIGHBORHOOD
Parking can sometimes be a bit difficult around here, as in any city, but on the other side it is still a free parking zone. You only really need to take the car when you are going out to explore the natural sights of the island, otherwise you can walk everywhere or rent a bike from any of the city's bike stores.
