Lo Chalet Sawmill si trova a soli 3 km dal villaggio di Big Bay sulla County Road 550.

Lo chalet ha 3 camere da letto e due bagni completi. Troverai la cucina moderna e completamente attrezzata con tutte le tue esigenze di cottura. C'è un grande ponte fuori dalla sala da pranzo con grill a gas, tavolo da picnic e molti posti a sedere. Il confortevole soggiorno dispone di TV satellitare con videoregistratore / lettore DVD con oltre 200 titoli di film disponibili per l'uso. Una delle camere da letto al piano superiore ha due letti singoli e l'altra ha un letto matrimoniale, entrambe le camere da letto al piano superiore hanno ponti. C'è anche un bagno completo al secondo piano. La camera da letto al piano principale ha un set di due letti singoli, c'è anche un bagno completo adiacente alla camera da letto. Ci sono anche due lettini che possono essere installati, se necessario.

Lo Chalet si trova sul sito del sentiero per motoslitte, a pochi minuti dal Lago Superiore e dal Lago dell'Indipendenza. Ci sono molte miglia di strade secondarie e strade forestali da esplorare che portano a dozzine di cascate e fantastiche viste sulle montagne. C'è un garage riscaldato / officina completamente attrezzata con strumenti e saldatore che possono essere messi a vostra disposizione se ne avete bisogno. Pensiamo che troverai lo Chalet come base perfetta per il tuo viaggio in motoslitta UP.

Perfect for quiet stay for NMU graduation. Enjoyed exploring around Big Bay with our pups and loved watching Anatomy of a Murder on the big TV before we went for delicious lunch at the Lumberjack Tavern

Perfect home away from home. Clean and comfortable. Stayed here with our 2 kids and dog for the second year in a row. Everyone was immediately right at home. Hosts are wonderful. They live right on property and are available if you need anything. But they give you plenty of space to relax and enjoy The Chalet.

This was our third stay at the chalet. It’s always clean and accommodating. Mike and Judith are wonderful hosts. We had a great time and can’t wait to get back there for another adventure.

Perfect gusts, the Chalet was left very neat and clean. They picked up after their pet and was hard to tell that their dog had even been in the house. We would welcome them back anytime.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Perfect, family friendly, pet friendly chalet. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Hosts are wonderful, warm people who go the extra mile to make sure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need. Enjoyed the nearby beaches and hiking to a few waterfalls. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful Stay - anxious to return ! :)

Too much fun stuff to do in the Big Bay Area (hiking/fishing etc) in only a 10 day period. Hosts were totally excellent, friendly and informative. Very peaceful, we had some “rest and relax days” that were quiet, peaceful and rejuvenating. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here.

Great snowmobile cabin

This is a great place to stay for families. Plenty of beds and rooms. Plenty of parking for trailers and multiple vehicles. Snowmobile trail is right across the street. Feels like home. We had everything we needed. Thanks for letting us stay a second time now.

Winter break

We had a nice week at the Sawmill Chalet. It's just 3 miles to Big Bay with dining at the lumberjack bar and Thunder Bay restaurant. We also hiked in the McCormick wilderness to a couple waterfalls and along the yellow dog river. Not a lot of snow for January but was still enjoyable. The chalet was very comfortable and worked out perfect for us.

It was great! The chalet is clean & spacious. Plenty of room for the six of us. Property is ample with a large deck. We had a pet and there was plenty of room to run. Really enjoyed having bonfires. Mike and Judi are wonderful hosts-very kind and helpful about inquiries to the area. Would go back again.

Comfy UP cabin

Pictures didn’t do this cabin justice. House is fully stocked with plenty of space for my family of 5. Enough parking for a few trucks and trailers with plenty of room still. Snowmobile trail right across the street. We almost stayed an extra week because we enjoyed our time so much. We hope to return again next year since it’s already booked up for the remainder of this season. Thanks for letting us stay!

Perfecr Getaway at Sawmill Chalet

We recently stayed at Sawmill Chalet and it was an absolute gem. From the moment we booked Mike and Judie made us feel so welcome. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. It is rare to find owners who are not only helpful but also genuinely kind and eager to share local tips.The Chalet itself is cozy and spotless and perfectly situated. If you enjoy side by side riding you could not ask for a better home base because trails are easy to access in every direction. It is also great for sightseeing whether you are exploring the surrounding woods finding hidden gems or just soaking in the beauty of nature. The best part is that there is a beautiful beach nearby which is perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.We could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you Mike and Judie for sharing your wonderful Chalet with us. We cannot wait to come back!

Up north getaway.

Everything was 5 star. Very clean cabin with plenty of room to enjoy all indoor activities and a large yard to enjoy the outdoors. Mike and Judy were super nice and very accommodating.

Nice place to plan your adventures or relax

This was the first time we brought our teens to discover the U.P. that we love so much. The Chalet was the perfect home base to relax and to plan many summer day trips in the area. Waterfalls, light houses, lots of hiking on the North Country Trail in particular and Pictured Rocks. Everyone we encountered in Big Bay was friendly and it was close enough to Marquette to do some shopping, restaurants or museums if we wanted. When we wanted to stay in, there were plenty of puzzles, books and everything we needed to prepare our own meals. My daughter loved reading on the balcony off her room. Thanks for sharing your place!

Big Bay snowmobile trip

We will definitely be back. We had a great time and the chalet is well equipped and comfortable. Snowmobile trail is across the road with a short distance to Big Bay.

Fishing opportunities abound with the many trout streams and rivers in the area, not to forget how close you are to Lake Superior, a world class fishery. The Sawmill Chalet is the perfect spot for all this and more or just to relax on the deck off your bedroom with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise to greet another beautiful day in the UP!
