Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located 1 BR on the Shallotte River. 10 minutes from the ICW & Ocean Isle Beach. 20 minutes to Holden Beach. Shallotte has everything you need for an amazing get away. The apartment has a kitchenette (microwave, coffee maker, & air fryer), walk-in closet, large bathroom w/soaking tub and walk-in shower, double vanity. The den has a huge sectional, TV, table and chairs, single futon; there is a king sized bed and TV in the bedroom for your comfort. This is a totally private loft upstairs locked off from the downstairs that is also a rental.

Another great week on the Shallotte river

Such a nice retreat, we really love this little corner of the world. Chris’s place is clean and cozy and we love sitting on the deck looking out over the marsh. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for the fisherman and cozy getaway

This is the perfect location! My husband and I love it and will definitely be back. My husband enjoyed being able to walk out and fish to his heart’s content. We were very close to the beach and able to drive there quickly. I am a very picky renter and this location checked every box! The design has a gorgeous, modern, cozy appeal. It is so relaxing and makes you want to stay in and cuddle up!

Great Communication, friendly interactions

Chris was great to work with. He was prompt and friendly. Place was as described in a nice location along the river, walking distance to waterfront restaurant.

Home away from home

Adorable upstairs apartment with all the amenities and great views of the river from the deck. Luxurious bathroom and comfortable living room with plenty of seating on the plush sectional. Great communication and customer service from the host, Chris!👍 We enjoyed all the fun board and card games! Plenty of excellent restaurants and shopping downtown, as well.

My daughter was very happy with her stay. The location was perfect. Host is great with communication and promptly responded to any questions I had during booking.

When we first bought this house in 2020, we were looking for a retirement property and we hope we will still get there one day very soon. It was never our intention to have this house to be a rental. But when we realized that we never use the upstairs and it was just wasted space for us, we totally renovated it and turned it into a couples retreat.

If you have vacationed in this area, you know what it's like in the peak season. People on top of you everywhere you turn. You won't find that here. This is a quiet community of locals that enjoy the ability to get away from all of that and still have the "beach life".
