Great Hospitality

Herb was such a great host, and quite friendly. I truly enjoyed the history of the house as well as the quiet neighborhood. Close enough to all the amenities that New Orleans has to offer. Great city park within a couple miles for an enjoyable quiet day. Highly reccomend this destination if you are looking for a quiet, but enjoyable visit to New Orleans. Great accomodations, bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever had slept in. Was a very enjoyable stay.

Herb greeted us upon arrival, had suggestions for local places to eat and tips for visiting the city. Herb is very knowledgeable, considerate and kind. Property is beautiful and NOT haunted. Can’t wait to go back and drink wine in the garden.

We only stayed one night, but Herb was a perfect host. The apartment was clean with lots of nice details- snacks, amazing garden out back…. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Great place to stay!

We had the best time! The house was so charming and relaxing. I really enjoyed the backyard with all the plants and pond. Herb was super nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in New Orleans.

An awesome neighborhood to stay in - quiet with several great restaurants within walking distance. We got a 3 day Jazzy pass and used transit all over town. Neighborhood seemed teally safe. Bed was comfy and Herb, our host, left lots of extras to make us feel very much at home.town. Herb

Great property, location and host! The very best of New Orleans. Property had everything needed, is wonderfully decorated/appointed and comfortable. Herb is gracious and knowledgable. One of the best (if not the best) rental experience we have had. Will definitely stay again!

Sweet neighborhood spot

Lagniappe on De Soto is a very cozy and eclectic hangout. Very comfortable king size bed. Nice garden in the back. Herb and Louie are very congenial hosts, well informed about the neighborhood and NOLA in general. We didn't know much about Bayou St. John, but it is a great little jewel of an area away from the touristy chaos of the Quarter. It has terrific restaurants and attractions of its own.

Great overall experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief overnight stay at the Lagniappe Suite. Rarely will you find a place that exceeds all expectations, but this is certainly one that we will hope to book in the future. Host was great and thought of every little detail to make sure the suite has every comfort needed to make this place a true home away from home. Beautiful furnishing & and a lush garden complete the vibe making this a true New Orleans getaway spot.

The siite

Very quaint suite in a very nice neighborhood, close to good dining and grocery store. The only fault I could find was the tube/shower. Hard to get in and out of safely. The host was a great guy and made us feel at home. Highly recommend it especially if you don’t have to spend a lot of time in the quarter.

Great Stay in New Orleans

Herb was a welcoming host for our 4-night stay in New Orleans. The property was an historic home in a safe neighborhood. Herb provided everything we needed for a great stay. We were 1 mile from the City Park, NOMA, Trolly to the French Quarter snd much more. We did a day trip to Chalmett, snd thoroughly enjoyed the area.
