Great property in the perfect location! The house itself was very clean and offered great amenities for a beach vacation. The property manager was very communicable and even helped us get an item mailed back that was accidentally left behind. Will definitely try and stay here again!

All about Family!

This is our 2nd stay at Beach Town! The 1st time was with a group of friends and this time with family. Both times, with friend or family, we had a tremendous stay. This place was just as amazing for family. We brought our dog this trip and the main entrance at ground level was perfect as well as the fenced in yard. We spent hours by the pool and in the game room. I can't say enough good things about Beach Town Property! Its clean, spacious, many decks for an escape to read, wifi is amazing! We were there for the 4th of July and could see fireworks from many directions! This is one place we'd come back to again and again!

Home was beautiful and spacious. Only real negative about the property was a very small swimming pool for the amount of people. Had very low water pressure in certain areas of the rooms, but they were aware of it and very accommodating to try and resolve the issue. Close to beach

Great House!

Beach town house exceeded our expectations. The weather our week was pretty miserable so it was nice to have a comfortable house as we were inside more than we thought. The layout is perfect with two masters upstairs and four other bedrooms on the midlevel. We hope to return to this house in the future!

We had a great time at Duck-2 Beach-Town. It was a beautiful house in an amazing location. Everyone having their own bathroom was a bonus. Shoreline was so attentive when we had a minor plumbing issue, and went above and beyond to get some forgotten items back to me. Would absolutely rent through them again!

We had a great time at Duck-2 Beach-Town. It was a beautiful house in an amazing location. Everyone having there own bathroom was a bonus. Our little secret gem in Duck

I don't even want to tell you about this property because it was so nice we want it all to ourselves. The location was perfect for walking to the beach or into town. The master bedrooms with kings beds are perfect for couples. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool with outside bar. We hope to be back in the future.

Great time, great house

If you have a dog, it's the perfect house. House is well stocked, bedrooms very comfortable. Pool is a little small. Short walk to the beach and to downtown Duck. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful home with great location

Duck 2 Beach Town was stocked well, perfect layout, clean, and great location to the beach with easy acess and a short walk or bike ride to the town of Duck for local eats, shopping, or fishing on the sound. A show rack outside or in the basement would be helpful for large groups! We would definitley consider returning for a future vacation.

Beautiful new home!

This home was literally brand new, with large bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. The pool was nice and refreshing and the location was fantastic....short walk to the beach and to downtown duck!

Duck 2-Beach Town is AMAZING!

The brand new Duck 2-Beach Town home is an amazing home, in a perfect location, where the owners have thought of EVERYTHING a large group needs! It's a perfect layout for families with different interests and so much to do! We loved the huge fenced yard,pool,hotub and the party cabana is fantastic; complete with a tv, wifi/speakers, full refrig,bar,stools making the backyard incredible. The ground level room was a hit, we enjoyed playing shuffleboard/foosball and another full refrig! We loved the walkability to both the beach and the Duck Park/boardwalk/shops. The home had plenty of areas to spread out when we had rain. We can't wait to stay again!!!

Beach Town

This house was brand new for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The coffee bar has everything needed for a true at home coffee bar experience with multiple brew pots, a grinder, expresso machine, and a frother. The beds were comfy and the adjoining bathrooms were roomy and nice. Aside from a very comfortable living room, there are several other decks for gathering and conversation. There is a game room on the first floor complete with a half bath and a refrigerator. The jacuzzi and pool area are very nice to include a gas grill and a garage bar. This area also includes child safety gates (kudos!). Finally, there is plenty of off street parking. It is a short walk to the beach and a equally short walk to town…Beach Town! It was great!

Perfect Stay!

This beach house is Amazing! It's a perfect location. Easy walk to the beach and the town, with plenty of things to do. The owners have really outdone themselves. The layout was perfect, each room with its own bathroom! Talk about luxury. Every detail from the dishes, pots, pans, bedding pillows, game room and outdoor areas, it's this! We had a perfect stay! We will be back, this place is a definite must!

pre-Memorial Day vacation

The location was perfect for us - 2+ blocks to the beach and 3+ blocks to downtown. The house was just the right size for my family. Now I'm spoiled with the pool and hot tub and don't think I'd want to go on vacation without one. The management company was refreshingly helpful. Responsive and the communication was great! Thank you!

Ducking Around!

The location of this home is great! Close walk to beach or town. Loved the bike rentals and wagon for beach gear which we received a credit for from the rental company. The house was clean and layout is accommodating for 2 families. The only negative was the carpeting on the stairs throughout the home. It is pretty worn, has a bit of a smell and not easy to keep clean in a beach house with dog and foot traffic. Hard wood would be a much better option on the stairs. The pool and hot tub were nice but rocks around the pool could use some sprucing up along with the bike/beach gear area. Overall convenient home which we would consider renting again!

Perfect for our family

This house was the perfect size for our family and dog friendly too. It is tucked away on one of the streets in Duck. We were close enough to walk or ride bikes to shopping or to the beach. It had great amenities such as a pool, hot tub, gas grill and a ping pong table. The bedrooms were nice. I loved the way it was decorated. The air conditioner worked great it was always nice and cool. Our family had a great vacation here.

Great Place

We had a great time. The property was clean and ready. Some other places we have stayed before, you could tell they did not clean well before the last visitor. That was awesome! no extra cleaning upon arrival! Everything was working and functional and well kept home. The property management team was also super responsive with questions. They ran it professionally.

Great location. So-so house.

Pros: This house is on a lovely street in Duck. The location could not have been better. It felt equidistant to both the ocean and the sound. Easy walk to the beach access. The shops at Scarborough Fair and Duck restaurants were just a short walk away. The top deck space was ample. The layout of the house worked well. The rental company was easy to work with and responsive and even called to inform us that the house was ready earlier than the 4pm check-in time. Cons: The house, however, is quite dated. The AC unit hardly cooled the top floor and the vents/filters looked as if they have never been cleaned or changed. The furniture was quite stained and the house did not feel very clean. There was a fist-sized hole in the drywall on the top floor that had not been repaired. The bikes were all old and rusty and all of them had flat tires. Please note that this street had a lot of sand burrs which kept getting imbedded into dog's paws. It made for a challenging week for the four legged friends. Overall, the week was great because of the location and OBX weather in October is quite pleasant. I would definitely stay on this street (or neighboring streets) again, but would choose a more updated house next time.

We stayed at this house and I received an email after our stay suggesting these things would be fixed for the next family: broken microwave (glass in door was not secured), hole in wall in living area. I would say the biggest issue was the lack of cleanliness. We wiped down the counters, high touch areas, and chairs prior to settling in due to the pandemic and it looked like some of the surfaces hadn't been cleaned in a while. The screen door for the third floor deck was rickety. The hot tub had a noticeable slow leak. It still worked, but we had to fill it with water. There was a strange smell around the laundry area that wafted into the upper level. Not sure. There were large areas of stained carpet, and I feel like that's where the smell originated. I think the house could use some fixes and carpet cleaning. When I contacted maintenance, they were quick to respond at first, but a second email did not receive a response until we left. I think the pandemic has put a stress on everyone's staffing, so I want to give leniency there, but I also feel that this is the time that houses should be thoroughly cleaned, even if it means check-in is later. There were plenty of beach supplies at the house: boogie boards, chairs, pool noodles, bikes. I tried one of the trikes and the steering/handlebar was off, but usable.

Great week

Nice house in a nice neighborhood within easy walking of beach and boardwalk. Cannot really see the ocean (very slight ocean view from corner of deck) but it's close enough you can hear the surf! Would visit again!

Clean but misleading

We stayed at the property with my parents and dog. The queen size rooms were very cramped and the Jack and Jill bathrooms were very small. My husbands head was about 6 feet from the toilet. There was little privacy in the sleeping/bathroom area. While the house was clean and the common living area spacious, the volleyball court was unusable. It was overgrown and the grass had had thorns, making it unusable for our dog as well. Further, our booking through VRBO did not include the said pet fee (although we selected it as a filter for our search), nor was there an added check box. So the primary rental company contacted me days before arrival demanding the pet fee (additional money out) because the fee accessed by VRBO did not include the pet fee (which Shoreline OBX noted as a glitch in the system). If you want to stay here, I’d also recommend taking your own linens.

Overall pleased with stay

Pros: Very clean house and a short 2-3 minute walk to Beach. Pool was very clean and well maintained. We had alot of fun playing ping pong with the table on 1st floor. Cons: Landscaping and lawn upkeep were absolutely terrible. Weeds were overgrown everywhere on the exterior of the property. The volleyball Court was completely unusable due to weeds covering nearly half of the sand. Also, water runoff from outdoor shower did not drain hardly at all and there was standing water. The door to the pool was falling apart and didn't work well. Although clean, the sheets to some of the beds didn't fit the mattresses at all. Finally, onr of the smoke detectors malfunctioned during our stay and our email to maintenance regarding the same went unanswered during our stay, which was disappointing. Overall, we had a great vacation despite some shortcomings of this house which could be easily have been corrected with routine and basic maintenance.
