Relaxing Keys Vacation

Great location, near Sombrero Beach. Easy access to Key West and other Keys. Loved the outdoor pool area for a very relaxing vacation.

Happy stay

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful place to stay. The pool was great. The house is close to everything. The beach was amazing. We would definitely recommend this place to stay. Thank you for a great vacation.

House has the beach and vacation vibe. Spacious, comfortable, the stocking of the kitchen gets a 10. Personal thing - master bed is very firm. Wife had no issue with it but for me...too hard. On-line pictures...a big reason I rented was the steps down to the canal. Great location and plan was to kayak to the beach. I didn't know about the tides, so the water was only up high enough a few hours a day. There is a ladder. Homes are now built across the canal so those morning sunrises and ocean view are not the same. The guest bedroom tub has lived a useful life. The rust around the drain and outside the tube along with a faucet that feels like it might break all lead to replacement. At night having a heated pool was a big plus and worth every penny of that 100 upcharge. Overall...I love visiting the Keys and Marathon is a great central location to get to different snorkeling/diving spots.

Beautiful piece of paradise

Wonderful home on last canal overlooking the ocean. Very comfortable, well appointed beds and kitchen. Great pool and outdoor grill area. Decorated just as you’d expect for a tropical getaway. Quiet area, loved riding the bikes to Sombrero Beach. Kayaks were great fun as well. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for the hospitality Corrine!

Perfect All Around

Property was fantastic, it had everything we needed for the week. Pool was great, house was clean and beautiful. Pool chiller option was worth it! We would definitely stay here again.

Fun-Sun-“Marathun”

80s & sunny, wonderful house & pool Key West & many restuarants/bars throughout Marathon. Stayed at this same home last year. Excellent amenities, location & views. Hope to be back again next year.

Great location, great home!

Have stayed in 2 other homes in Marathin right around this home and this one is best as far as being clean and well appointed. The only suggestion I would make would be mattress upgrades in both rooms for us old people with bad spinesBe sure to take kayaks over to Sombrero Beach.

wonderful experience in Marathon Key

This property is lovely, clean, and well-appointed. It had everything you could want for a comfortable vacation, especially if you like to cook! We used the pool every day. We loved using the bikes to tour the neighborhood. Great location, with many things to do close by. We're so glad we chose this property!

Respite from cold and snow

This home offered everything we needed for a break from winter! We enjoyed picturesque sunrises, utilized the kitchen for breakfast, walked or biked for exercise, cooled off in the private pool, and strolled to the beach for a change in scenery. Corinne was quick to respond to any questions.

Fun and quaint but roomy cottage

My wife and I and our adult kids stayed for a week. Great open kitchen/dining/living room. Plenty of space for 6 adults. The pool and outdoor kitchen were great. Pool was used a lot to soak up the sun and fun. Easy walk to the beach to swim or fish. A manatee swam right up to me in the canal and let me pet its head. We loved it!

Relaxing

We have been coming down from North Carolina for several years now and this was the most relaxing one yet. This one meant more to me because we brought my parents with us with my mom fixing to have a tumor removed in a couple weeks after the trip. She made the statement that it was the best vacation she has had in a long time. So thank you for your hospitality and making this trip a special one to remember. We enjoyed the quietness of this property along with the pool after going out fishing for the day. The outdoor kitchen was awesome to cook in. We can’t wait to get back down there.

Fantastic!!!

The home is beautiful and just as pictured. Location could not have been better. We stayed during Hurricane Ian so there was unexpected issues that could not have been anticipated. These were resolved as soon as Ian passed. We were able to still see Manatees in the canal and was visited my local crabs. We cannot say enough good things about Corrine and Katie.

Great House, Great Location,

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, kitchen is well stocked and very organized house! We all slept like babies! So quiet. We enjoyed pool and outdoor kitchen. Plenty of parking. Close to Publix! Beach is a walk away or bike ride which is hard to find in the keys. Our only downside is something that is not controlled- sargassum had been pushed in because of the wind and it’s just that time of year. Heat of the Summer. So the smell was strong at the beach and backyard. We live on n Florida and understand that this happens up and down the coast during the late summer time. We still enjoyed our stay and stay again.

What a gem!

We loved everything about it, and we would definitely stay again. The house was roomy, clean, and comfortable. We had two families of three staying. There was room to be together, and room to spread out. The pool looks tiny in the listing, but there was plenty of room for the kids to play and adults enjoyed it too. Just before check in we got a message offering to turn the heat on in the pool for an additional fee. We chose to wait on that. And didn’t feel it was necessary. One recommendation to the property manager would be to get a different cover for whatever the “do not touch” device is in the queen bedroom. The flashing blue light seems fine in the daylight. But in the dark of night it’s obnoxiously bright. I ended up strategically stacking pillows around it to block some of the light while trying not to impede airflow to the device. (Even a bit of electrical tape over the light on the device would do the trick.). But all in all we loved the place! And we will be back.

Good boating location

The location of this property for boating and diving is ideal.....however you do need some boating savvy as depth of the channel to open water can be as shallow as 1 or 2 feet at low tide. The house itself is good size for a small group, we had 6 adults but its better suited for two couples and a few kids. If you've ever stayed in the marathon area this is your typical rental house.....comfortable and does the job but definitely needs some TLC. The things that need help are not deal breakers and will by no means ruin your vacation but would make it a more comfortable stay. Some examples during our stay.....the master bath window was broken and there was a piece of cardboard covering it, the ceiling fan in the second bedroom stopped working a few days into the week, the handle on the toilet in the master bath was broken and had to be wiggled so the toilet would stop running, and the pool was dirty when we arrived. Having said all this, I was in constant communication with the property manager the entire week (again, something you'd rather not do while on vacation) and she was extremely responsive even though she was also on vacation at the time. She was aware of the issue with the window and also offered to have an electrician come during our stay to fix the fan. Overall it was a good experience, especially for the price compared to other rentals in the area.

An Amazing Property, Exceeded our expectations...What a view! Book It Now.

BOOK IT NOW! Amazing home in a fantastic location! We've been visiting the keys for over 27 years with our family and have never stayed in Sombrero. Upon arriving, we fell in love with the beautiful landscaping of the property and all of the parking in the front yard(a boaters dream), you could easily park a couple of large boat trailers and a couple of large trucks and cars with no issues at all. The house is set back from the road, nestled in tropical palms and huge bird of paradise trees which deliver a private Island feel. The online pictures Don't do this house justice. This house lives BIG with a ton of open room inside. It looks completed renovated(NEW) with beautiful cabinets and Quartz tops, new floors, bathrooms and furnishings; its very very nice! The kitchen has every cooking utensil you could ever dream of for cooking a family style meal. The Bedrooms are BIG with large closets if you decide to rent for an extended stay. The bed furnishings are very nice and comfortable, with plenty of pillows. Theres a new flat screen TV in every room and a large one in the living room with an awesome sound system for watching your favorite movie, or just relaxing to your favorite music. We had beautiful sunrises in the morning from the living room window with direct Atlantic Ocean Views! You also have Direct Atlantic Views while hanging in the pool which is nice because you can see exactly what the boating weather looks like. The house and pool areas are very family friendly and the pool has a fence around it if you have little ones. The boat dockage is very nice with a step down area entrance to your boat making loading and unloading very easy. What we loved the most about our stay was the access right into the Atlantic Ocean. There was plenty of water at all tides for us to easily navigate in and out of the house with a 24' boat. Being new to the sombrero area, I pulled up the MAPS app on my IPhone and clicked on the satellite image, its very easy to see the channel in and out even to a novice boater. It's a straight shot with markers in the water making it very easy. I would highly recommend renting this house, Its in an amazing location, very close to everything, a quick boat ride to multiple restaurants and walking distance to a park with a nice beach. We've found our new Happy Place! We were sad to leave, we will definitely be returning. Thank you for renting us your home, it's Beautiful. The Chance Family St. Augustine, Florida

Beautiful Keys Stay!

Beautiful home with a lovely backyard. Corrinne is very responsive and communicative. No issues at all with checking in and use of the home. Construction across the canal really was not bothersome, only one time a delivery of dirt was noisy for about one minute. The homes being built are nearly finished. Partial ocean view still! And the beach is a quick walk down the road. We walked to and from Sombrero beach many times. We loved our Marathon stay!

Relaxing

My family and I enjoyed our vacation. The house was fully equipped, clean and in a private quiet area. We had a minor issue during our stay. The management company and owner were quick to respond and address the issue immediately. The house and Marathon might be our new vacation spot.

When not in Marathon, we live in Little Rock, Ar. We love the keys and bought this house instead of a boat! We are still looking for the right boat, but are so glad we found the right house! We love sitting in the pool (it has ledges all around) listening to Jimmy Buffet. Sombrero Beach is wonderful and just a short walk away.
