Cabin was just as described. Loved the kitchen table was perfect for our gathering. Catherine was quick at calling when I couldn’t get the heat to work. My mom loved watching the squirrels and chipmunks. I would stay there again.

The property was exactly as described, nice and clean, with an amazing view. The host is so thoughtful, and has filled the house with lots of good books, games, a full coffee nook with everything you could want, plenty of kitchenware for cooking, beach and bath towels, comfortable linens, soap, outside sitting areas and so much more. We were so pleased to be there and would recommend the property to everyone who has the good fortune to stay there : )

Catherine is an excellent host! She’s very easy to communicate with and responds quickly. The cottage is well stocked and cute! The coffee accommodations were awesome - and Comfortable beds. We were a bit sad that the lake wasn’t swim able, and quite “marshy”. But the bird watching was pretty cool.

This is our favorite vacation spot! It is charming and has such a beautiful view! The wildlife and easy access to kayaking is a serendipity! I love to walk to town and to the boardwalk to get coffee every morning! In a word it’s magical!

We had a great time wild ricing on the lake and mushrooming the state forest near by. Property had everything we wanted. Since it was a lot older individuals not couples maybe one more room configured with twins or bunks would have been helpful. I didn’t make it up to look at the loft wonder if that could become 2 singles. And we just had a hard time folding the sofa bed. Never did figure it out but we worked around it.

Great little place! Beautiful views of the lake, great yard for games and bonfires, and nicely stocked and clean interior for us to relax and enjoy with our friends for a weekend up north. Owner was great at communication when we had a little struggle with the lock and were able to get us squared away! Would definitely stay again.

Exactly as described in the listing. Beds were super comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. Quiet location. Check-in was easy. Owner was super responsive. It is an up north cabin with great location and amenities.

Wonderful

This was a great place to stay. Very cozy atmosphere. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect. I cannot express enough how great the location is. On a dead end and feels like no neighbors. But close to town as well for easy shopping or visit to big lake. Easily the best place I've stayed at.

This is my second time staying and its still wonderful! Im still amazed and feel so lucky to have found this gem. The host is very responsive if any questions. Cabin is clean. Location again is wonderful. Plethora of things to do both at the cabin and not far from. I highly recommend this cavin

The cottage was well stocked with basic items and then some. The coffee bar had a variety to choose from. The beds were all comfortable and the living space was perfectly sized. My girls loved hanging out in the loft. The location makes you feel like you are secluded but town is just a short drive away. Everything was smooth and easy. I would highly recommend this cottage for a stay in Tawas.

Quick up north get away

We loved our stay! The location was perfect if you want to be downtown. There were many amenities that a lot of VRBOs don't include. The coffee bar was a huge feature for us, as was the large dining table we could all gather around. My checklist included a fireplace and a loft. My kids love traveling with a loft. The beds were incredibly comfortable, too!!

Right on the water, launched our canoes from the backyard! Sunsets, bonfires, and smores under the stars. Almost everything you would need in the well stocked house, Catherine has anticipated your every need. We slept well in the comfy beds, and the neighbirhoid is friendly for walking dogs, at the end of the street is a cute bridge which leads to more trails and frisbie golf, fun!

Perfect relaxing spot for a 5 day stay. Loved being able to bring our 2 pups and they felt right at home. We brought our own kayaks and had a great time kayaking in the lake. Home was cleaning and owner was so nice. House had everything that we needed. Beds were comfortable and house was very clean. The only draw back is that the house is cooled by a single window unit so during the day and early evening it was a bit hot.

Absolutely wonderful!

Would absolutely recommend! Only issue was power going out when a/c, fan n coffe maker were on. But a minor issue easily remedied .Would maybe enjoy a toaster. Toaster oven was ok for toast.Just a super getaway for all 9 of n us!

Thought it was great for the price, location and amount of beds! Only down side was the boys were really looking forward to the boat but it had a broken oar lock. They finally decided to take it out anyway but it had many leaks in the boat and starting filling with water.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The host was friendly and accommodating. We were cooking food for a bunch of people and the smaller range was missing a shelf, so Catherine offered that we could use the fridge and stove in one of the other cabins that was unoccupied. There was also no shampoo or conditioner when we arrived, so she had some delivered. She clearly wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time at the house. It's a very charming place and the views are wonderful, especially at sunset. Would definitely return and recommend.

Overall it was a nice property. The pictures of the outside were a bit deceiving as we were not expecting as much muck and weeds.

Thank you for your comments. The lake volume goes up and down, varying with rainfall. We did install a dock which is also not in the pictures to help when the lake is low.
