Fantastic views and a great stay for our family. We loved hanging out in the outdoor spaces and playing games after our days exploring the area. The big kitchen space was amazing! The owner was even fantastic and found a left behind item for us and sent it home. So appreciated!Extra points for the super large parking area - so convenient!

This is a great vacation home, the views are spectacular & even though we didn’t cook here the kitchen seemed well stocked with cooking equipment! It’s just a short drive to downtown & very quiet and peaceful. The owner went above and beyond with an extensive list of dining recommendations! So helpful… A great home base for exploring all that Durango has to offer, and I sure miss that view! Cathy B

Fantastic house in a great location to explore Durango and surrounding areas! Perfect for our family of 4 with a grandparent along for the fun! The hot tub and ping pong table provided extra fun after active outdoor days. Our host was extremely responsive during the entire process from booking to departure. A week to remember!

Dennis was a great communicator. We had a little trouble with the 1 dryer,but there was another one to use. We visited during an unusual hot weather and a few air conditioners had a hard time keeping up. We did have fans to use. Nice place for all 12 of us with the guesthouse. Grandkids loved it!

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to learn that you experienced an issue with the air conditioning in the bedroom during your stay. We communicated several times by text during your visit, including about the squeaking dryer, and I also called twice to make sure everything was going well. During those conversations, I was told that everything was great. However, no issue with the air conditioning or water leaking was brought to my attention at any point during your stay. After checkout, my cleaners found a note you had left explaining that you noticed water dripping onto the carpet and had placed a pan underneath it. The note did not mention that the bedroom was not cooling properly. I called you as soon as I learned about the note and immediately had the A/C system inspected. The technician found that the drain line had become clogged, causing the dripping, and the issue was repaired within four hours of my becoming aware of it. I make every effort to be readily available to my guests and encourage them to call or text me at any time if something is not working properly or if they need assistance. Had either the dripping or the cooling issue been reported during your stay, I would have addressed it immediately, just as I did once I became aware of the problem. I wish I had been made aware of the issue during your stay, as I would have been happy to have it addressed immediately. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify what occurred.

This house was set up to handle a big group and we loved it. The kitchen is huge and opens into the living room. The multiple levels gave a sense of privacy to everyone. The back deck with views of the mountains was the best spot. There is plenty of room to park and the drive to town is just a few minutes. I appreciate the communication with the owner and the level of cleanliness. We had a fantastic stay.

Our family of seven had a perfect week in Durango. Dennis is a very attentive host. Every question I asked was answered promptly. The pillows and beds are comfortable, and there is space enough for everyone inside and out. The view from the deck is spectacular when the sun hits the mountains. We take a family vacation every year, we all voted this kitchen is the best. Thanks Dennis!

Great property, especially for family gatherings. Perfect location on the north side of Durango. Lots of room, a big open sitting area, and a deck overlooking the lower Animas river valley. When you are finished driving to Telluride, Ouray, Canyon of the Ancients, or taking the Silverton train, it’s a welcoming place to come home to. The San Juan mountains and national forest are a special place in southwestern Colorado. Durango is a unique small town, off the I70 tourist trail, good restaurants, and a nice central district. You have to want to go there, not just end up there. We very much enjoyed our return visit after 25 years.

3 generations under one roof is always exciting but this house made it better. Everyone had their own space. Plenty of bathrooms so no one was waiting. Great kitchen and dining room table for family meals. Porch and views gave us plenty of options for photos. We didn’t use the hot tub because we had toddlers but it is well positioned to watch the horizon. Check in was great. Host texted instructions with pictures. The street is private and quiet. Will definitely use this house again in Durango

The house was in a great location only five minutes from Durango that you felt like you were away from the town. The views were amazing. Very private you can’t even see another house next to it on the porch. The host was very accommodating in the property property for our needs hope to come back soon

Durango in April

Great views and a beautiful clean home. The kids loved the air hockey table in the lower level. The home is close to town as well. We loved our stay there!

This house is gorgeous. Set up on the mountain with incredible views and an amazing hot tub. The bedrooms and bathrooms plus decks were above and beyond what we expected. You also feel very at home and cozy. Highly recommend you stay here and it is close to downtown and up the mountain activities as well.
