Large Beach Front Property, 3 Kayaks Included!

This Bass Lake home is perfectly nestled on 188 feet of lakefront and 55 feet of private, beautiful sandy beach where you can spend time making memories with friends and family while watching incredible sunsets from the west-facing shore. We also include the use of 3 of our Kayaks April to October. With 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, 2 full size refrigerators this home can accommodate large families.



The property has its own private beach with dock (docks could be winterized sometime in September–May) and a large rock fire pit for family time and s'mores under the stars. There are plenty of games to keep the kids busy, rain or shine. Foosball table, Ping Pong table (in garage), darts (in garage), multi-game Arcade machine with games like Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man Board games and cards The perfect home to hit the slopes at Crystal Mountain( only 14 miles away) or share Thanksgiving or Christmas together. The property is shared with a cabin next door that is available for additional rent.



Bass Lake is unique because it is a clean spring-fed sandy bottom all-sport lake just 20 Miles from downtown Traverse City, where there are plenty of fun family activities, yet you can easily enjoy everything the surrounding area has to offer by taking day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, and Traverse City. In the winter, you are only 14 miles from Crystal Mountain. Additionally, we are just 5 miles from the world-renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts, making us the perfect place to stay for concerts and performances. This property is perfect for large gatherings to create memories that will last a lifetime. Wood burning stove not for guest use. Docks can be winterized depending on weather. Great hole for families or even groups

Loved the proximity to Crystal Mountain and Traverse City. We were there in the winter so no lake fun, but I’m sure that would be even better. Highly recommend this place.

Feeling like home

we had total 21 people (5 families) and enjoyed staying in this house. Good view and pretty enough space at kitchen. It was perfect choice to pick up this house for our vacation.

Superior house on a clear lake with sandy beach

This house was well equipped in all areas. The kitchen and eating area easily accommodated our large family. We would use again! Close to many Michigan attractions. Nice people to rent from. Beautiful setting!

Excellent property

My family and friends stayed at the property just before the 2019 Spring break weekend. The property was in great condition as pictured in the VRBO site. It had all the amenities that were required for our stay. The kids had a good time playing table tennis, foosball and the bunk beds were great. Overall, property was close within the vicinity to our plans and I will highly recommend this property to others who are planning a trip close to Traverse city. I will definitely book it again in the future.

HUGE Lake House

This house is beautiful! Set on a serene, sparsely populated crystal clear lake just minutes from Interlochen Center for the Arts. We had 20 people sleep very comfortably for family weekend. The kitchen is well equipped, there are plenty of bathrooms, and a giant dining table for everyone to gather at once. The sandy beach was great for the kids and their sand Castles! I have rented lake homes for years and this one is my absolute favorite!

August Stay

It had a wonderful cabin feeling, while being well stocked home. Plenty of room. The Beach was our favorite. There were some missed details upon our arrival such as a dirty towel hanging on back of bathroom door and a prior renter's bag of dirty clothes left in master closet. The kitchen was amazingly stocked with utensils and other items. Overall the place was just what we needed.

Wonderful!

I planned a bachelorette party for my best friend in Traverse City and we stayed in this wonderful cabin! It had plenty of room for all 15 of us women and the property owner was very accommodating when we had questions about anything. He made sure to work with us and our schedule of checking in/out and supplied us with lots of information on the area/places to go see. Close enough to downtown, but far enough to get that cozy, tucked away feeling of being up north. Would definitely recommend a 10/10 to stay here! Thanks for the great experience!

Fantastic property, massive space, well maintained

Our family gets together annually in Michigan and have 5 different families (Grandparents, children and then grand kids) we need to find space for. This location was perfect, and better than past years when we were spread out across 2 or 3 locations. The location is ideal in that we all fit in comfortably, and the accommodations in for the kids with bunk beds they loved. Massive kitchen to cook all meals in, and area outside to grill in the evening. Huge back yard that goes right up to significant water frontage. We took advantage for boating and quite a bit of fishing with the kids. Also a bonfire pit for fires and smores in the evening. We found the house in proper working order and clean. Also an ideal location to hit other Michigan activities in the area. Listing accurate, well maintained and we absolutely loved it, perfect for family vacations and everyone under one roof. We have already re-booked for next year!

Great stay

Perfect spot for our big family. Weather wasn’t great to enjoy the outdoors but the home provided lots to do inside. Many kudos to the ping pong table and indoor video games!

Lake heaven

We loved our stay at Andy’s place. The lake was beautiful- clean sandy and a well kept secret with only a few boats. We caught tons of pan fish and bass. The house was wonderfully appointed- everything we needed was there. We had plenty of room- and the bunk room was a big hit with our kids! We also rented the cabin next door and it was the perfect quiet spot for the babies/nappers in our group. You can tell Andy has really thought about how to ensure his guests have a great visit. There were new kayaks, and while we visited a new arcade pac man game arrived and our kids swooned over it. Ping pong, darts, life jackets, camp chairs, noodles and more are there to share too. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful place! John, the manager is right next door and so helpful. He always had a smile for our kids and helped within a moments notice when we had a light bulb burn out. While we stayed I needed internet for a meeting and the internet was having some issues. I texted Andy the day before my meeting and he went right to work on it. He put in over 3 hours problem solving with TA fir the company that runs the internet and after many tries found a work around for me. Andy and John really went above and beyond to help with this issue, and even though it was out of their control they remained committed to solving it. We had a group from MI, CA, MN, and NC. We would stay here again in an instant (and hope to in the coming years!) we took bike rides, visited TC and sleeping bear dunes and floated the lake nearly everyday. The only was I can think of making this place better is perhaps some thermacells or dynatraps for mosquitos near the fire pit and our kids wished for a floating dock to jump off of like the neighbors have. But these were just wishes- really the place is amazing. Away from it all, capturing the essence of a pure Michigan summer. Thanks so much for sharing your home, Andy!

Yearly family vacation

Great experience. We enjoyed the quiet serene surroundings. The cabin was roomy, with many separate areas to gather. The beach/lake was wonderful for the warm days that we experienced.

Great family getaway

This house and setting were wonderful! Plenty of room, large kitchen, great outdoor space, nice beach and lake access. The listing says the downstairs is colder than the upstairs. This is true. The basement was frigid. Difficult to control the temperature. Also, don’t buy wood from the neighbor. It is very expensive ($25!) and there are lots of places along the way to Interlochen that sell wood for $5. A couple of the mattresses could stand to be replaced but overall this was a great vacation spot. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent here again!!

Strict/Rules/Rude Owner

The house is nice, but comes with a ton of rules and very strict. Ants all over the house and kitchen smelled like fish when we got there. Also, the hired lawn are company came in the middle of our party on a Friday night so we had to move everything that we already had set up. Grill was out of propane. Since we did not book the lodge on the same property (50 feet away) the owner rented it out to someone else so it felt like they were right on top of us all weekend. We have stayed in many other VRBO’s and even a few in the same area and have not had an experience like this one. The owner was not very good at communicating and when I finally called him he was rude on the phone and not welcoming whatsoever.

Great house for a family and small group.

We enjoyed this place a lot. The kitchen was large and accommodated our family. The lower level bunk room worked well for singles and we had plenty of bathrooms. Great Lake view.

Great home, great location!

It fit our group of four families nicely. The only con would be the check out process. There's a lot to get done in a short amount of time the day you leave. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Stay

We had 24 family members staying here for a girls weekend. The bunk room was a major hit, the long benches with the dining room table was another bonus. The kids enjoyed the tree house, adults enjoyed sitting on the deck. Plenty of bathrooms and fridge space for this large group. Great stay over all and I would return!

Tranquil Lake Getaway

The Bass Lake Cottage is the perfect lake vacation getaway. We went with 2 other families-13 people in total-and everyone had a wonderful time. The yard and beach were big and beautiful, and the house was clean and well-apportioned. Everything we needed for a week of fun. Plus, Andy was a great host to deal with!

Lake getaway

We had a great time at the lake. It was a small lake, but the fishing was decent, and there was very little traffic. Given the opportunity, I will definitely stay here again.

Slice of Heaven!

Just got back from a 4 night stay and am blown away by this property. Spacious, extremely clean and has everything you need for a great beachfront vacation. Days were spent swimming, canoeing, paddling and fishing! Thank you for an AMAZING trip! Will definitely be booking again (and again)!
