The lockbox was the keys to check in is old and dysfunctional. The owner knows it is and the instruction say shake it it’s rusty because of saltwater. The condo is very dark. where’s all the windows open? The bedroom stays hot with the AC and all fans on. I think this property is way overpriced.

We regret that this tenant had difficulty with the outside lock box. We have replaced it. As anyone who lives by the Ocean knows, salt water can effect anything mental. His call about difficulty opening the lock box was answered immediately & we sent help to him within 15 min… None of our other 5Star Reviews mention this condo as being dark? Or finding the condo too hot. We feel this Tenant may find happiness in a full service hotel.

Very clean when we arrived, the host was very helpful when needed and very friendly. The residents (especially the permanent residents) were very nice. The access to the beach was excellent (very nice view) and just a short walk to Crystal Pier and the boardwalk. Loved the breeze coming off the ocean. Was very nice to have the pool and jacuzzi right outside the front door. Even though the AC unit at the front window kept the front of the condo cool we had a hard time getting any cool air back to the bedroom and bathroom even with the vertical tower fans supplied to us. I would like to recommend possibly a wall mounted remote controlled ventless AC unit in the bedroom and maybe one in the bathroom or in the hallway near the bathroom. Overall, we had a very fun and exciting time while we stayed there.

Pam’s place was very clean, updated, and nicely decorated. Honestly, you can’t get a better location—it is incredible! We were able to have coffee on the benches overlooking the ocean, and everything is within walking distance. My kids absolutely loved the pool and hot tub, and we were able to grill and cook meals easily throughout our stay. Just be sure to bring your own laundry detergent, shampoos, and kitchen staples (spices, cooking oils, coffee) as these aren’t provided.The dedicated parking space was tight (as mentioned in the listing)—we had an SUV and it fit, but it was tough to park, so a smaller vehicle might be easier if you have the option.Since the condo is part of an HOA, there is a long list of rules that can feel a bit restrictive, but the neighbors themselves are very friendly. We did hear noise from the floor above late at night, but we stayed during a holiday week, so it may not be the norm. Pam was a great hostess; she had great communication throughout our stay and answered our questions right away.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this condo. Great location. Very clean. Lots of extras like chairs, umbrellas and the AC unit was very nice to have. The host was wonderful - great communication. We will be back!

Pacific Beach San Diego

Overall, very nice property. So many restaurants great within walking distance. The list of other restaurants in the nearby area was very useful as well. Beach access was close and the provided beach chairs and umbrella were great. A very relaxing stay.

Great condo for family of 4

We really enjoyed our stay here in Pacific beach. You can’t beat the location, and having a parking spot makes it no stress with kids. The Property manager was very responsive. Everything went well and we had a great time.

Overall we had a good experience. The internet quality could be improved and extra linen added to the property. The location was phenomenal and kids enjoyed the pool/hot tub. The only downfall of 1st floor apt is sometimes loud upstairs neighbors.Bedroom had plenty of storage and hangers for organizing clothes, luggages all fit under the bed which was great.

Great neighborhood 😁

Didn't expect the very warm weather in San Diego! So the single portable A/C was not quite enough, but the ocean breezes helped as did the fans in the unit. Overall this condo is in a great location and very comfortable. We'd choose it again.

Overall everything was wonderful for our stay. Being that close to the beach was amazing. Having beach chairs and toys was awesome. The host was very prompt with communication. There was a couple smaller things that could have been better, the shower drain had a previous person's hair in it upon arrival. The spare pillows (used for the kids on the hide-a-bed) did not have pillow covers. There was no bathroom soap in the dispenser and none anywhere else in the house (we bought one and left it). Then one strange thing happened almost nightly (and one other time during the day)... The light for the living room fan would randomly turn on. This was mostly a problem when it happend at night and the kids were sleeping. I am wondering if another resident has the same fan/remote and they were interfering because 1 morning I turned on the light and then it turned off less than a minute later, so I turned it on again, off it went.The other thing that I believe the host should put in the listing is that there is no toys and balls allowed in the pool. This was annoying as what kid wouldn't want to play with toys in the pool. So I believe you should state that in the description.

Hello Brian, We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We wish you had told us of the "fan light" problem... this is the first we are hearing about it. We'll look into it...it has not happened before to our knowledge. We had pillow cases brought to you. No Community pool ( or Hotel pool for that matter ) allow quests to take balls or toys into the pool due to the fact that you are sharing the pool with other children and adults. There are resorts that offer several pools on their property and make 1 of them just for children or with a volleyball court across it...but our complex has only the 1 pool for all residents and quests to share.

Very clean, fresh and spacious. So close to pool and hot tub and lounge area. Hostess attentive to our needs. Walking distance to grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants. Beach and ocean right outside your door. Lots of people watching. 😎😎

The property owner was very communicative. The condo was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was so comfortable. The location is the best part of this property! You can walk to so many shops and restaurants and access the beautiful beach easily. The sunsets on the beach were wonderful. The only downside of the condo is the pool and spa. They are both very small and no balls or toys are allowed. It's not the best set up if you have kids that want to spend a lot of time in the pool.

Great location!

My wife and I stayed here for about a month and a half and enjoyed our stay very much. The location can't be beat, and the unit is just as described in the listing. It can definitely get noisy at times since it is right next to the pool with lots of loud kids/families playing and screaming. Adding an area rug would be a nice touch to make it a bit more homey, but the unit was very well stocked with supplies, towels, etc. Overall it was a great experience and I would certainly recommend it!!

Just Beachy

This was a great place for a family of four to stay. The bed and couch were both very comfortable. Everything was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The location was great! We had to walk a little bit further down the beach because it is divided up for surfers and swimmers and my kids were boogie boarding (so swimmers). It wasn’t a big deal though. There were plenty of beach toys to use. The location of the actual co do was right in front of the pool which made it really easy!

Tidy little condo, fully equipped kitchen, including pretty decent (which is rare!). Our most important criteria are a, having a really good quality firm mattress and b, getting a little ocean breeze plus ocean wave sounds as we drift off to sleep. Both of these were fully met!I noticed there were extra items available for children – – beach toys, small plastic cups, bowls, and spoons just for the little ones. We didn’t need any of that, but can understand that would be helpful for families who do. All the adult stuff was there and it was great to have an entirely full set of pots and pans since we do a lot of cooking. Also, we knew full well ahead of time from the property description,that we were facing into a courtyard with a pool, so sometimes the noise was a bit much, but we knew we were signing up for that. Again great place for a family and kids. It’s a great spot on Pacific Beach, front lobby door leading directly out to the boardwalk. We had a good week.

1 week stay for a couple of beach bums:Pros:- steps from beach - beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, towels included - walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars and major grocery store- area and building felt safe - great host & communication Cons:- overall cleanliness of the condo. Felt like it needed a good deep cleaning. Floor and all surfaces didn't feel adequately cleaned. - the frequent smell of marijuana in hallway and bathroom (from bathroom vent). This was quite disappointing because the building is marked as smoke free and it made leaving the front screen door open (for a breeze) a non-option

Pacific Beach Condo

* Extremely Clean * Very Roomy - Very Nice inside * Nice Appliances / great ice maker in the Refrigerator * Big Bed * Great Location * Pool/Hot Tub are good, nice area for bbq/set around but you'll be at the beach :-) * Great Communication on Condo * Parking is a little challenging in the garage below but it worked fine just had to be careful * Nice washers/dryers (at least 4-6 washers, 4-6 dryers in the basement to use. I think washers were $1.75 load and dryers $1.50 (or close to that) * Location is great, you can walk to the pier (Restaurants, groceries, bike stores, etc or all a few blocks away. Ralph's is fairly close Basically right on the beach * Great Communication from Pam on everything * We could easily journey to different parts of San Diego from here which we did. La Jolla is very close by, Ocean beach is close as well (very scenic), Seaworld is close we rode bikes from there on trails. * Lots of biking trails around the area, mission bay, the beaches, etc. I would stay here again.

Great Location in PB

This unit is right in the heart of Pacific Beach, ocean front. Couldn't ask for a better location. Very clean and matched all pictures listed on-line. The kitchen was very well equipped for all cooking and serving needs. Double coffee machine for both K cups and brewed pot. Also provided beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and plenty of beach towels! On-site parking. The overall condo bldg is a bit worn and dated. During our stay, there was on-going construction on exterior stairwells, but this wasn't an issue as we are on the 1st floor. No central A/C. There is a plug in window unit in the living room. With typical San Diego weather, this wouldn't be an issue. During our stay there was an extreme heat wave and the A/C couldn't keep up. Overall, I would definitely recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a great stay in PB!
