Inside of the property matched the VRBO description and is a short drive into Watkins Glen. Property is attached to another unit and yard is fenced in per the photos provided in the description. Property owner was responsive to texts and phone calls when we had difficulties entering into the property and accessing the tv. I chose the property for the ability to use the blue adirondack chairs to relax and view the lake - however the chairs were not there and where I think they were placed for the photo now has a tall solid fence blocking the view. What view one could possibly see is blocked by tall over grown weeds and weedy trees. If you are going for wine or brewery tasting this place is a great location -Rt 414 has many possibilities to choose from!!! If you stay here check out Solera Tap House just a couple doors down for a beer - and pick up the map that shows many places to visit along Rt 414.

Cozy and comfortable! The property was perfect for a weekend getaway and super close to everything Seneca Lake has to offer. Check in was a breeze, communication with the host was also easy.

Cons:Right next to busy road, lots of traffic noise. Exterior back of the VRBO is in bad shape, and lots of trash around. Biggest safety issue: propane for the kitchen stove was a grill-sized propane tank sitting on junk with a line leading into a hole in the wall. There are raccoons living above the bathroom. The VRBO is part of a larger building with the laundry room being a shared space. Minor issues inside; missing outlet cover, exposed pipes, paint splatters on the floor, damage to counters and cupboards. No dresser, just 3 hangers in a closet. No curtains/blinds on bathroom window. No smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector.Pros:Adequately comfortable and mostly clean. Stocked with the basics for a short stay. The host communicated well and there were no issues with check in. Very good location, close to attractions and restaurants. The mini split works well for heating/cooling, though detailed instructions would have been helpful. Water pressure and temp are good.Overall not horrible, but wouldn't rebook.

I made this reservation months ago and right out of the gate, when I messaged the owner, he took days, if not weeks, to answer my questions. When we arrived, we found many flying insects in our room mostly flies and gnats. So many, that we went to Walmart and bought a Zevo. The bed, a double, that looked so much bigger in the photos, was pushed up against a wall, so 1 of us had to be blocked in and getting out to be able to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night without waking the other up was difficult for us in our 70’s. We were sent instructions by Expedia messaging and we did exactly as described to get the air conditioning turned on but we were not successful. It was too warm. The tv was in a spot where you could not really watch it from the bed. There were no nightstands or even window ledges to put phones and other essentials on and no bedside lamps. There was a tiny yard for our room but it only had one Adirondack chair in it, not 2 as pictured in the promo photos and the weeds were so overgrown, we couldn’t get even a glimpse of Seneca Lake. When it was time to check out, our host sent us instructions to collect linens off our bed to deposit on the sofa and gather up trash to put outside in a non-existent garbage can. The walls were thin, so we heard the baby crying and dogs barking in the next room over. There was trash lying in a bag outside our room all weekend. There was nothing good about this place except refrigerator.

The property needs some additional TLC. The area is gorgeous, Finger Lakes Wine Country, however, the property itself lacked general cleanliness, unfinished framework and exposed water lines/ insulation, and a wall-mounted heater incapable of rising temperatures at a reasonable pace.
