The house was clean and nice on the inside. The area felt a little unsafe. We did have issues with the wrong door code on arrival (10PM). Possibly in a dead zone for phones, but we had issues communicating with host. Felt a little uneasy hanging out on front porch trying to get in so ended up in a hotel the first night, costing an additional 480 for 2 rooms. The next day we had issues with internet and therefore TV. Ended up in a sports bar to watch football. The issue was rectified late Sunday evening. The next issue was hot water. Upstairs did not have any. Someone was sent out on Monday, but we never had hot water up stairs, so we took turns showering downstairs. The host did say the hot water heater was small and to give it time to refill, but even trying to shower first upstairs, there was never hot water in the shower. The other issue is noise. There is construction directly in front of the house and immediately behind the house. It looks like a road is being constructed and as the backyard is only a few feet deep, and they started at 0645, there was major noise. Don't plan on sleeping in. There is also a train track a few blocks away that actually shakes the house (pier and beam). The area has some nice restaurants and bars nearby. Maybe when the construction ends and the issues are fixed this could possibly be an okay stay. The neighborhood may end up being nicer in the future, as it looks like a once depressed area that is possibly on the rise.
