Tucked away in the desirable Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood of South Palm Springs, arriving at Shelby Sands will feel like you're checking into your own private desert resort.
The layout and design of this stunning 3 bedroom /2 bath home is thoughtful and practical with a central area for gathering and entertaining and separate wings for the bedrooms – ideal for guests that prefer a little extra privacy.
Guests will be impressed with the sophisticated yet playful mix of color, décor and design. The gorgeous open living area is furnished with midcentury and contemporary modern pieces and features a cozy fireplace, HDTV, and a dining area illuminated by a wall of French doors. The fully equipped kitchen comes with everything you need to prepare home cooked meals and tasty cocktails for poolside fun!
The primary bedroom with King bed and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower is at one end of the house, while the two guest bedrooms, one with a King bed and one with a Queen bed are at the other end of the house. The guest bathroom has dual sinks and a shower over tub. Each bedroom has a designated work area – perfect for any guests working remotely or any kids needing a quiet area to study.
The highlight of the home is the spacious outdoor area featuring a saltwater pool and spa with spillover feature and a tanning shelf. Next to the pool is a large, covered patio with lounge seating and a dining table for six with umbrella, plus a barbecue grill and retro ice chest cooler. There are plenty of chaise lounge chairs so everyone can enjoy their time relaxing in the sun. There's also an elevated fire pit with seating – the perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail as you watch the sunset over the stunning San Jacinto Mountains.
You may never want to leave this dreamy desert compound, but if you do, many popular shops, restaurants and bars are just a block or two away. For those guests seeking a little recreation with their rest, the home is also within walking distance to some popular hiking trail heads and a bike rental shop.
Cameras are located at the back gate entry.
No music or sound from sound-producing devices (TV's, Cell Phones, Radios, etc.) are permitted outside the home per local ordinance. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 10am.

Per the City of Palm Springs, all adult guests (18 years and older) are required to read and provide written acknowledgment the Palm Springs Good Neighbor Brochure prior to gaining access to the rental property. A copy of these policies will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. The primary guest is also required to provide details for all vehicles of guests staying at the property.
Pool and Spa Heating- ADDON
Optional pool and spa heating is available for an additional $80 per night. We recommend adding this service between October and May to ensure the water temperature is comfortable during your stay. If you would like to include pool heat, please notify us at least 72 hours prior to your arrival, as some pools may require up to 48 hours to reach the desired temperature of 86 degrees.
Monthly Stays – Utility Deposit
For stays of 28 nights or more, a utility deposit of $1,500 per month is required. This includes a monthly gas and electric usage allowance of $200. Any charges exceeding this amount will be deducted from the deposit. The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded following check-out based on actual usage.
Local regulations also require that the property manager meets you within 24 hours of your arrival to verify your identity and review local ordinances. We will reach out after booking to assist in scheduling a virtual check-in.
