We Gathered

The property is very nice. The driveway is easy to miss when first arriving. Multiple people missed it however once you know where it is- it's ok. The house is accommodating and was perfect for the size party we had. There was 16 of us. We were supposed to have 20 but some had to cancel. The house would have accommodated all 20 but I do believe it wouldn't have been as comfortable. We did see someone walking across our drive way the day before check out and was taken aback a bit only to realize they dropped tubs off on our front porch. I did not enjoy looking at the tubs for the better part of visit ( we were only there one full day) however I can appreciate wanting to be prepared for the next visitor. If I were to come back in the area I would look at this home again. It was spacious and accommodating.

We really enjoyed the house and the area! it was a little cold so we couldn't go into the lake-- but we hope to be able to come back soon!

Most Beautiful Places EVER

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is exactly as pictured. It is GORGEOUS and so well taken care of. The home was not only spotless, but a wonderful layout for families with children. We will most definitely be back!

Great time with family and friends!

Beautiful and spacious house in a great spot on the lake. Clean and well maintained. Being in a 'cove' meant quiet and safe, away from the speeding boats. Great for families. New appliances in the kitchen. WiFi was weak. They replaced the router within one day and it got a lot better. Still not great if you have lots of people streaming or gaming. Washer/dryer are a bit old and could use replacing. Would go there again!

Beautiful home only one downfall

Beautiful home and the space was perfect for the 14 of us. Could have fit plenty more people given they had a pull out upstairs, extra beds in several rooms, and two other cots we found in the closets. The views only added to this house. The only downfall was that we were so close to the other homes with little privacy when on the back porch or in the back yard. People actually used our backyard to get their backyard. So on both nights of our trip we had people walking through our yard while we were outside to get back to their houses. That is why I only gave 4 stars.

Amazing!

This house was perfect for our group (adult couples and their kids). Plenty of space indoors and outdoors. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and fishing by the lake. Everything was great for our group. Especially appreciated the fact that the kitchen has two full size refrigerators and plenty of pots/pans for cooking (as we cooked every night for dinner). Plenty of seating (indoors and out) and the beds were quite comfy for the most part. Again, excellent house if you're looking for lots of space. Would definitely rent this house again!

Great Place and Time

My group rented Almost Aspen and loved the place. Everything was clean and orderly. It was great to have 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers, but one of the best things was the dining table. We have never seen such a massive table. Was great for all of us to sit around for meals and play card games. The pool table was a big hit. There was so much space even though we had 11 adults, we still felt like we had plenty room to not feel crowded. We had one minor problem with a broken shower head, but even that the rental management was superb in addressing it as soon as we called. They sent someone within an hour and it was fixed. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We didn't get to enjoy the outside as much because of the cold weather. I would highly recommend this place for any large group that is looking for a clean, well appointed, and comfortable place to have a get together.

Family Reunion at 'Almost Aspen'

We had 15 adults and 5 children staying for 1 week at Almost Aspen. The house is very nice and was in good shape. The number of bathrooms and bedrooms worked out very well for us. We had a mix of adults teenagers and younger kids. The kitchen is well equipped and cooking for that large group was not a problem. Bring extra kitchen towels as the 2 provided aren't nearly enough if you are cooking for a crowd. I have 2 complaints about the house: the dryer is electric and drying clothing took a VERY long time, the other problem is that the air conditioning hardly reached the top level of the house. There are ceiling fans in the upper story rooms, but on the warmer days/nights it was rather warm in the bedrooms. Most nights it was pleasantly cool, but a few nights those of us upstairs had trouble sleeping. The owners should consider a booster for the AC.
