Questa affascinante baita originale, "River's Edge", costruita nel 1910, si trova su quasi un acro di proprietà sul lungofiume. Dispone di 3 camere da letto, 1 bagno, lavanderia, ampia camera da letto matrimoniale, 2 caminetti, WiFi gratuito, TV moderne, lettori DVD e videoregistratore con videoteca. 6 posti letto più 2 bambini sul divano letto nel soggiorno. L'ampio schermo nella veranda è eccellente per cenare o leggere un libro. La struttura dispone di un ampio ponte con vista sul fiume, una spaziosa area con pozzo del fuoco, griglie a gas e carbone e una vasca idromassaggio per 6 persone. Guardaci su FB per scoprire le attività di molti anni: pesca, kayak, tubing, golf, sci, snowboard, osservazione della fauna selvatica, arrampicata su roccia, mountain bike e spelunking. I ristoranti, i bar e i teatri dal vivo offriranno al vostro soggiorno intrattenimento eccellente e ottima cucina locale. A PIECE of HEAVEN

Beautiful original log home. Deck built out on Cheat River for gorgeous views and wildlife. Wonderful fire pit area. Definite location! The home is well equipped with many hospitalities. Awesome hot tub all of property direct views of the river. Fishing was fabulous too!

Cozy cabin, close to many hiking trails. Cabin has everything you need. The bathroom is updated and the shower has nice water pressure. Everything was clean and was great having a large tv above the fireplace in both the living room and bedroom.

The Rivers Edge

Very peaceful and relaxing stay! We thoroughly enjoyed everything the cabin had to offer. Whether casting a line or just sitting on the deck, watching the wildlife and listening to the river, we had a wonderful time. We’re already talking about coming back next summer. Tiffany is an excellent host! Thank you for your hospitality.

The Perfect Getaway!

Our family of four had a super fun and relaxing time at the cabin. The setting is perfect. Quiet and beautiful on the river. The log cabin is awesome, and the hot tub and fire pit and deck were much enjoyed. The scenic mountain train ride out of Elkins is fun! Thank you for the great stay and for the easy communication with host.

Fishing Getaway

We love River's Edge...this was our 6th time visiting. The fishing is great...a big plus for our 3 boys. There are lots of things to do nearby...train ride in Elkins, biking, hiking, Senca Rocks, Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, ect.

Mountain Getaway

First time stay. Loved the location. Outside property could use some cleaning up and outside grill needs replaced but overall the experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Rental

Rented for our Anniversary. Couldn’t have stayed anywhere better to relax. Peaceful and beautiful view of the river. Great place to stay.

Our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. Such a fantastic long weekend getaway! The cabin is well equipped and had we forgotten anything it was probably there for use. The owners are friendly and accommodating and we appreciate it! We will definitely be back! Joe and Marcie

Love this cabin!

Expectations were exceeded in this beautiful, authentic cabin. The atmosphere was so cozy, we spent hours with the fire place going and doing puzzles. The hot tub was spotless and it was awesome relaxing in the tub while watching the ice float down the river. We would love to stay here again, possibly in the summertime!

Uncomfortable

Rustic is one thing. But the dimly lit, unusually narrow and attep stairs to the upstairs bedrooms was unsafe. The fire extinguisher in the kitchen was empty. We found 2 in a cabinet in the laundry room but, had there been a fire, it is unlikely we would have found them in an emergency. Lovely location,

Perfect place to hunker down

We had a fantastic stay this weekend. The house is very clean and cozy. We decided to stay home instead of hiking because the property was so lovely. We all enjoyed the super clean hot tub and the closeness of the river. I felt like we took a step back in time…. Perfect place to feel a bit of history while also watching the Super Bowl on a flat screen. I would recommend this property for all seasons. Also- our host was awesome- quick to respond and easy to communicate with :)

Nice cabin but needs work

The cabin was in a nice secluded area, and very peaceful, beautiful place to be, but being an old home it had some areas which could use some fixing and upgrading. The kitchen and bathroom were upgraded, but the toilet had scalding hot water from the tank. We did ask about this, and were advised that they had to have hot water due to condensation issues, but being burned by scalding water splashing up on your nether regions was an issue. The screened in porch had numerous rips in the screens, and open cracks for bugs to enter. The living room was comfortable but very dark. A few table lamps would have taken care of this.. we did see that past reviews addressed this, but no lamps were added. We were there when indoor fires were not allowed, but burned logs had been left in the fireplaces leaving a heavy smoky odor that took over the cabin.

Riverside Gem

Our family of four spent three nights at the charming River's Edge log cabin between Christmas and New Year's. It was our first visit to this region of West Virginia and to the neighboring community of Elkins. On arrival, we were greeted by a Christmas tree lit in the corner of the living room and the lovely scent of the river stone fireplace. The cabin was impeccably clean, with the beds in the ground floor master bedroom and the two upstairs bedrooms carefully made. While many of the local attractions that would draw visitors in spring, summer, and fall--such as the mountain railway tours--were closed for the season, we enjoyed walks from the cabin on on both sides of the river and spending time in cozy cabin playing board games at the dining table and watching videos from the well-stocked library. We also enjoyed visits to Elkins, which included a stop at the Big Timber craft brewery, a visit to the arts coop gallery on Davis Street and the local liberal arts college campus that clings to the hill above town, and excellent dinner at Smoke on the Water barbecue restaurant. We could imagine how lovely the cabin and riverside property would be in summer, with the trees in full foliage. We did not use the hot tub and the weather kept us from dining on the screened porch or table on the deck overhanging the river, but would have done so on a summer visit. All in all, a wonderfully relaxing stay. We would definitely visit River's Edge cabin again in future, and recommend it to others without hesitation. Our thanks to the owners for making their riverside gem available.

Riverside cabin

Over all we had a great time . Disappointed that there isn’t direct access to the river bank , shallow water for the kids. The steps off the deck were too dangerous for senior members of the group . No mention of not having air conditioning on the second floor . Hot tub was at 105 degrees . After fiddling around for half an hour we got it out of hold position and turned it down and enjoyed it . We ended up having firewood delivered because no matter what we tried , the wood provided would not burn . What we couldn’t take , we left , so who ever is after us should have a nice fire . The cabin was spotless and comfortable . Kitchen well equipped . Bathroom very nice although it’s odd to have a toilet that runs on hot water ! Toilet seat was always damp if the seat was left down . Probably nice in the winter , seats nice and warm 😁. Would have been nice to have access to a hose . Close to Elkins for shopping and eating . Definitely recommend . Lol! Also , the bed upstairs is very noisy as is the floor . Standing downstairs when someone is up there , sounds like they’re moving furniture . Anyway , thanks for a very nice long weekend .
