The open living room dining room kitchen area was very welcoming. The property had every thing we could possibly need. Everything was very clean! It was great sitting out on the deck overlooking the Mississippi River. We really enjoyed our stay there. If we are ever in the Missouri area we would definitely stay there again.

This property was everything we wanted and more. Having grown up on the river, we both found our stay relaxing and cathartic. The home perfectly matched the quiet solitude of the river, broken only by the occasional barge, which we loved. The sounds of the waterfowl, owls in the nearby woods, and the night sounds of cicadas and frogs helped to complete the ambiance. Jerry and Wendy were outstanding hosts and the home came furnished with everything we needed, including freshly baked cookies that we tried really hard to make last longer. We hope to return again soon!

Right along the river just as described. The covered patio is perfect morning or night! Comfortable bed, and no complaints from our daughters about the pull-out queen bed. Plenty of inside and outside seating too. We loved finding another unique place to stay.

Do not waste an opportunity to stay here!!!!! This is the most relaxing, enjoyable, quiet, friendly, beautiful, comfortable location you will find!!!! We loved everything about this area!!! We even went sight-seeing and shopping, but we just wanted to get back to this porch! We grilled every night, so hospitable they had everything we needed and then some! Greeted with cookies, wine and souvenir gifts that were just AWESOME!!! Thank You So Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were blown away by the uniqueness of Jerry & Wendy's house and their attention to detail in terms of hospitality! Very clean, cozy, and quiet retreat with stunning views of the river. Great water pressure in the shower too. We tried one of their restaurant recommendations and were not disappointed! If you're ever in the area, I would highly recommend!

The cottage is just as advertised. The view is spectacular! If you want to dine out or need any supplies everything you need is in Winfield.

A cozy, elevated cottage along the Mississippi River! The wind was really kicking up on the last day, but the place is super well insulated—didn’t feel the cold at all. This was a great value, and a unique spot!

Very relaxing stay, the views from the big deck were amazing! The cabin was comfortable.

It was a great place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Relaxing on the deck and enjoying looking out over the river with such an amazing view was the best!

Great place!

My wife and I really loved staying here. Good views of the river as well. The chocolate chip cookies were off the hook amazing! We will be staying here again in the future.

This was a great stay, tucked away and cozy. It is soo much nicer in person; from the cute fuzzy welcoming committee to the fresh baked cookies , this was an absolute pleasure.
