We had a fantastic stay at Pelican Point. The location can’t be beat and the property is amazing. Exceeded expectations. Steps away from the beautiful Sandy Beach and the courtyard and amenities were excellent. Also a reasonable drive to many attractions the island offers. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Such a beautiful place

Loved our stay at Pelican Point!!! The place is beautiful, the people were awesome, and the host was amazing!! He gave us so many pointers and advice and his descriptions of the rental and what you can see and experience there are spot on! Overall one of the most special places I have vacationed to date! You really can’t go wrong!!

Great Celebration

The location is ideal. Rincon is definitely all about the water and this is the best beach for swimming. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations.

Beautiful place, absolutely perfect beach front location. We've stayed there twice. Carlos is always very helpful.

Great place on the beach

Everything about Pelican Point is great; steps from the beach, there is a laid back courtyard where Jim ( owner) introduced us to our neighbors and locals making for a fun couple of weeks checking out local restaurants, snorkeling, mountain biking, surfing, or just hanging out in the hammocks. Will be returning!

A Great Week

I didn't see a better property on Sandy Beach! The views and the courtyard are the best. The apartment had everything we needed and then some. Jim made our stay extra special by telling us great places to eat and visit. We will definitely be coming back and staying at Pelican Point.

Great location

Beautiful property right on ocean. Jim very attentive. Apartment could use updating. Loved sitting out in the outdoor area watching the waves. Able to take long walks on the beach and swim right outside the property.

Location location location

Jim’s place is exactly what he says it is . Beautiful back yard - quiet peaceful 5 steps and you’re on the beach . Amazing , part of the island ! Jim is responsive ,is accountable and really communicates well . His grounds keeper Eddie was friendly and available for local recommendations. Enjoy your stay , we certainly did .

Piece of Paradise

We had an amazing week at Pelican Point. It was the perfect location to feel secluded. Yet close to many things to do. Jim went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The back “yard” was paradise. We spent every evening sitting in the hammocks and listening to the ocean. We enjoyed the outdoor grill area. It was a very safe area and we would walk the beach at night. It was not full of people, which we enjoyed. We are already making plans to go back! Definitely the place to stay if you’re staying on that side of the island.

Great property

The property is in an amazing location with surf just a few meters from the end of the steps. Check-in was fast and easy and Carlos was very helpful. I stayed with my wife and two boys, but would say the unit is better suited for younger single visitors. It is right next door to the Tamboo Bar/Restaurant, so it is loud and generally in a loud neighborhood. While there are cups and plates, cookware and silverware is very limited., so cooking much presents challenges. If you want to hang out outside and enjoy the beach, it is a great place for you.

Paradise

Amazing location situated in a neighborhood that provided anything one could need for a relaxing stay. Within a 5 min. walk, one could get a coffee at a small Java shop, breakfast at a small breakfast shack with outdoor seating, basic amenities at a centrally located convenience shop, and a few evening/late night hangout options. The host Jim, was fantastic He was more than available to provide assistance or advice for anything you may need. He created an environment that was welcoming to all and made our first-time trip to Puerto Rico feel like home. Lastly, the strip of beach to abuts this property is postcard material. It’s beautiful. Thank you for the incredible experience Jim! Don’t pass a stay at this place up!

Feb 2019 stay

Right on the beach and just as pictured -- beautiful sandy beach right down the steps! Great outdoor cooking area - but was in need of cleaning before use. Plastic lawn furniture quite weathered and covered with bird droppings. Interior was a bit dark and dreary but didn't spend much time indoors. Be warned no water heater - just a tiny unit on each shower had the provides warm water (at best) -- if pressure is turned very low. Cold water only for bathroom and kitchen sinks. Maintenance was not on site first two days. One of the two names and phone numbers on the VRBO site and contract (Elier I beleive) for maintenance and check out responded to text message stating he hasn't been the property maintenance/manager for quite some time so that needs to be updated. Other text message to the second number requesting maintenance wasn't received for some reason, so had cold shower the first two days - malfunctioning and leaky attachment to shower head that was supposed to "warm" the water did not work. Also beach items such as boogie boards and snorkel equipment was locked up and not accessible first two days since no management/maintenance person on site and no response to text message (not delivered for some reason). Once management (Carlos) was called rather than texting, response was very good and issue was resolved the following day. Noisy: Tamboo Bar right next door is VERY loud at night. One of the two bedrooms in Unit A has a hollow exit door facing Tamboo so it sounds like you are in the bar when you are in bed, loud music, yelling, hollering, beer bottles being dropped in garbage -- definite down side of Unit A. Don't plan to go to sleep before bar closing time -- or within an hour after as beer bottles are being thrown in the garbage and it sounds like it's literally in your bedroom. There is a phone number to call if it gets too loud, but it is the police and I don't imagine they are going to tell the bar patrons they cannot make noise do it's just a drawback of this location. Other than items mentioned, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend it, with these things in mind!

Terri, First of all, we want to thank you for considering us for your getaway spot. You were an excellent guest and welcome here at any time and hope to see you soon at Pelican Point. We really do appreciate letting us know your experience at Pelican Point, sorry to hear that maintenance was not able to be around as expected but we had personal matters that we had to attend, if anything was needed, communication using the platform or to my personal number could’ve been the best and most effective way just like when we started the inquiry and reservation process. We want to apologize for not updating the rental agreement information and involving Mr. Elier in this matter. Terri, I Identify with your concern with how the BBQ area looked but having a sign stating clearly cleaning after use in the BBQ area apparently does not help that much and having that area exposed gets beat up and also influences in the way it looked. I know that having common sense and consideration from people will go a long way, but unfortunately, we get the inconsiderate guest that sometimes gets to use the area never cleaning up after themselves, if something was needed I was always a call away. The snorkels and boogie boards are locked because those are mine and are not part of the rental, but I personally let our guests use them as a nice gesture towards our guest. Sorry about our neighbor Tamboo, we are taking legal measures due to their inconsiderate and disrespectful behavior in the past upsetting our guest and our operations as a business. The police number was a way to make law be enforced the night of the incident... if a complaint from one of our guests is made, the police duty is to investigate the loud noise that was above permitted decibels in a residential area. If the police were called by law Tamboo was to bring down the volume.

Awesome!

We love Pelican Point so much we stay there twice a year. Amazing location, perfect simple apartments, the court yard and BBQ area makes it possible to hang out by the water. Jim is super friendly and helpful. He’s a very nice owner and is easy to hang out with. We love it!

beach bliss in paradise

Rincon is awesome, the property is great and the location can't be beat. Technically everything you need is in walking distance, (it is beach front), surf rentals, restaurants, coffee, bars. However, Rincon as a whole is worth exploring. That's where the great host Jim comes in. Super knowledgeable of the area, he will go out of his way to help you in any way and give you great recommendations. I will be back!

Amazing experience

Amazing experience. Beautiful place, manager is always available in person or by phone for anything you need. Place is extremely clean and backyard, which is a common area, is well designed and equipped for a pleasant stay. Also, there's a restaurant next to the place (fence to fence). Beach is open sea which, in my opinion, makes it not recommended for little kids.

Pelican Point July 4th, 2019

Pelican point was a great beach experience. The location of the property is awesome. Carlos was amazing. From check in to check out he was great. The courtyard was a great place to hang out when not on the beach. We cooked outdoors in the courtyard. The bbq area was perfect. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We even roasted our own penil on the beach. This beach rental is exactly as described and did not disappoint. I cant stress enough how super kool Carlos was. He waited around for us cause we were late to check in. He gave us a quick tour of the apt, courtyard and beach. He made us feel welcome. Being able to wake up to the crashing of the waves was perfect. Everyone in the surrounding area were so nice. Pelican point is a great place to spend with the family during the week. Tamboo bar next door had great music and they closed at midnight. If your looking for a place on the beach to be with your family and have a great time. Pelican point at sandy beach Rincon is the spot to be. This is not a resort. It is not fancy. This is a down to earth, get salty and sandy place were we learned to appreciate the raw beauty of Rincon and life itself. As a dad it was great to see my kids off the damn cell phones. They had much to explore and learned that getting alittle dirty can be tons of fun.

Excellent I would recommend this place.

Excellent place beachfront in Rincón. A good place to stay with friends and families. Carlos was very attentive and give us recommendations to eat and visit nearby.
