Questo è un originale per gli appassionati di modernismo.
Questo landmarked Wexler casa, costruita nel 1963 e credo che queste sono le uniche case caso di studio a Palm Springs. Per chi apprezza estetica moderna genuina metà del secolo, questo è un gioiello raro.

(Questa è una recensione dal 2 al 20-16) Ciao Doug - Volevo che tu sapessi quanto abbiamo AMATO il nostro soggiorno nella tua squisita casa. L'architettura era incredibile e gli interni dal design accattivante. Avevo visitato le case Wexler Wexler durante il fine settimana a pochi anni fa e le avevo ammirato, ma è un piacere completo per essere in grado di vivere in un ambiente perfettamente progettato per un paio di giorni piuttosto che correre attraverso un tour casa. Avere la possibilità di rallentare e permettere che il mio occhio a prendere in tutti i dettagli intelligenti del disegno di Don Wexler, per godersi gli interni e, naturalmente, prendere nella grandiosità delle magnifiche montagne è stato grande per l'anima. Posto fantastico, architettura storica e il servizio impeccabile, la speranza un giorno la hanno la possibilità di soggiornare a casa di Doug nuovo. Se avete interesse per l'architettura e lo stile della metà del secolo, questo è il posto dove stare!
Rilassante. Freddo. E meraviglioso. Molto da fare a Palm Springs. Trekking, mountain bike, tennis, golf e molti altri meravigliosi posti dove andare. Da non perdere Joshua Tree National Park. Da non perdere le montagne e il tram aereo. Grazie!

Beautiful Architectural!!

Great family stay! Was extremely windy (like gale force winds :/ ) during our stay so we didn’t get to totally enjoy the pool, but the house was really cool and totally suited our needs It’s a Mid-Century gem, so if you like that sort of thing, you’ll love it!

Great stay in Palm Springs

We liked the house especially the yard, it may actually be bigger than the inside. House is tastefully decorated and uncluttered. I have neck and back issues but found beds very comfortable to sleep in. The pool was excellent. The owner and property manager were very responsive. The only downside was the strong wind which I think is common in that part of town and in Palm Springs area but I think we had it stronger than in some areas. But it is nature and nothing can be done about.

After 13 months of the walls closing in due to COVID, walking through the front door was like a great exhale. The house is peaceful and light and airy. The design aesthetic delivers a mid-century modern sensibility without pretentiousness. The owner and property manager were communicative and conscientious. Would we return? In a heartbeat.

Family Stay

Absolutely beautiful property -- perfect for a family vacation. We paid for the pool to be heated all week, which was a must in March. There was noise from the nearby roadway a block over, but for the most part a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. For architecture it was perfect, being one of the 5 or 6 "model" homes of Wexler along that stretch. But there is great "mid century modern" homes throughout the neighborhood, so great for walks. The decor is fun and simple, the security system really cool, and the space would be great for a few families. It was more than a walk to downtown for us, but only a few minutes to drive. Check in was super easy, and instructions were super clear. Ease of in and out was great. All the bedrooms with large sliding glass doors out to a great yard.

We loved this house

I am not sure how anyone could have a bad time at this wonderful home. I've never really liked Palm Springs until I stayed here. We appreciated the art and decorations in the house (an original Corita Kent was my favorite, also the lamps!). There was some street traffic noise but it didn't bother us. I did have to follow-up a couple of times to get answers to my questions from the property manager, easier follow-up would be my only improvement. This house was executed with excellent taste and was perfect for our little family. You can tell a lot of love and care went into making it a place to stay. Thanks for having us!

absolutely amazing experience. The house, well it's a Wexler, enough said. The host Doug was top notch in all ways. The location was nice and quiet and a quick 5 min drive to all the spots. The pool was perfect and the sun was shining down on us. Perfect place to work remote for the month and have a vacation at same time.

Wonderful spot close to downtown

We had a relaxing and enjoyable week at this lovely (and historic) property! It was great to go swimming on New Year’s Day, so definitely get the pool heated if you are here in the winter. Thanks again!

Wonderful mid-century modern property in Palm Springs!

We recently stayed in this property with our two young kids. The home is bright, clean and well-appointed. It is situated on a large lot, with a great pool, which we enjoyed daily despite the cooler weather. Both the owner and property manager were very easy to communicate with and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone!

MCM Perfection

A mid-century modern house by master architect Donald Wexler, outfitted with a mix of mid-century modern art and furnishings arranged creatively and comfortably. Anyone looking for an immersive mid-century modern experience in a lovingly respected house can do no better.

Awesome trip!

This is a beautiful place to rent and very comfortable. I hope to do it again next year! The pool and open space allows you to feel like you're in the comfort of your own home. Thank you for the stay and I recommend it to anyone!

Authentic Palm Springs experience! Loved it.

The location was great and handy to downtown. Perfect size for a family of 4. Clean, well-maintained, and the mid-century design was very cool. Property manager was welcoming and accommodating. Owner was prompt and friendly with communication. Pool area and surrounding vegetation awesome. Thanks for a wonderful introduction to Palm Springs!

Stunning architecture and design!

This property is a true pleasure for lovers of architecture and design. Having an opportunity to stay in Donald Wexler's stunning architectural gem and to be surrounded by interiors that are beautifully curated was exquisite. It was wonderful to spend time in this special property and allow your eye to take in all the clever details of Wexler's design at various times of the day as the shadows and light played against the angles of the house while also enjoying the setting of abundant natural beauty and the grandeur of the nearby magnificent mountains. The house was immaculate, pristine and was well provisioned with everything you need in order to enjoy your stay. The owner and the house manager provided excellent customer service. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this special property.

Filmmaker/director. Have had this wonderful house for over 20 years! Fell in love with mid-century 25 years ago. I make documentaries and specialize in fashion/real people/celebrities and beauty. Grew up in Santa Monica, lived in Italy as a fashion photographer. Moved to New York, my home now, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I travel the world for my job, and always return to Palm Springs when I can.

This home is unique. A mid-century modern 'case study' home, part of a little enclave of 7 homes built in 1963, designed by the brilliant Donald Wexler. They are all steel, modular homes. This house has a purity and elegance in it's design, like similar homes by Frey, Neutra and LeCourbusier. It is called "Steel Development Home No. 4. For me, it's like owning a Picasso.

Experience the real 'modernist' experience, where indoor flows into outdoor. Huge glass windows all around the house. Large yard and original kidney shaped pool. And a hammock, for the ultimate bliss.
