Wonderful Mountain Retreat

Loved Laurel Lodge Mountain Home. Everything from the mountain views to the decor, jacuzzi, fire pit and pool table were perfect. Great location if you don't want to be too far from restaurants and shopping in Boone & Blowing Rock. Look forward to staying there again!

Excellent property. House is very functional. An added plus is that it is close to everything, like Boone and Blowing Rock. Over all a great experience.

Football weekend

Lovely hime

The location is great, near Boone and most attractions. The house is well appointed and the property management is very responsive to your needs. We were 2 families of 4 each and very comfortable.

Great weekend getaway.

Just as described if not better. Four adults, three kids under 9. We had room for more. Beautiful cabin and scenery.

This place is not only wonderful for a quick get away with your partner, but also for the kids. Impeccably clean with all the wonderful amenities that you could need. The location is absolutely fantastic. If you’re looking for a place that is close to both then, and blowing rock.

Absolutely Perfect!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and decorated so charmingly for Christmas. It was the perfect place for our family to gather together to enjoy a belated holiday together. The cabin hosted all nine adults with plenty of room and activities. I would highly recommend staying here. We had a marvelous time.

The house & amenities are awesome.

This was a perfect house for our family weekend gathering. The house is lovely ~ so well appointed w/fireplace, pool table, hot tub, plenty of large bedrooms and baths. We worked puzzles in the loft and played cards & games on the rainy autumn days. Stay here if you have a large family. It was fantastic! ,

Beautiful Cabin for a Family Getaway

This cabin was the perfect place for our family. The cabin had every amenity we needed and everyone in our group ranging in age from 19 to 81 found something to enjoy. We enjoyed the porch views, the hot tub, the pool table, and the quiet evenings. The property manager responded quickly to address one minor problem we encountered after hours. We would love to return again to the Mountain Laurel Lodge in the future.

Will definately be coming back!

I've stayed at a few different properties around Boone and also Ashville, but this one is definitely my favorite. The road winding up the mountain to the lodge is a little bumpy, but no big deal especially if you have a 4x4. The upstairs to the lodge is perfect for kids, with two single beds, plus a double bedroom, a bathroom, and a very comfy window seat, couch, and TV! This alone made the stay worthwhile as the kids were able to relax up there, while the adults watched TV by the fire downstairs!

Great Deck Views

Wonderful space with a nice view off the wrap around deck. Plenty to do around house, pool hut tub, games and of course relaxing on the outside rockers. A fun executive golf course is 3 mins away and is very kid friendly and only $12 - 18 to play. We do wish they had mentioned that we had to flip the breaker in order to use hot water. We will stay here again in the future.

Clean home perfect with multiple families with teenagers

Property was very clean upon arriving. The location is close to everything but far enough away to be private. We stayed in the home with our 3 teenage children and another family of two adults and two teenage children. There was room enough for everyone and even some space left. The hot tub, fire pit, and pool table were great and well used. The loft area upstairs served as the perfect place for morning yoga. The window seat made for the a comfy place to escape if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect mountain family vacation!

We absolutely loved this cabin! Great amount of space for everyone (we had 3 adults and 5 teenagers). Everyone had their own bed, the kids loved the pool table and we all loved the fireplace and views from every window. There were extra blankets in every room, warm bedding on all the beds (which were very comfortable). The kitchen had everything we needed, both a Keurig and a coffee pot for lots of coffee or single cup use, great selection of pots and pans, plenty of dishes and silverware, there’s even a crock pot in the closet in the bathroom. If you’re planning who to sleep where (during winter months) the upstairs is warmest (heat from the fireplace rises and it’s about 10 degrees warmer upstairs), main level is comfortable and downstairs (the bunk beds by the pool table) was the coldest level (probably 10 degrees cooler than the main level). It was perfect for our teenage boys who loved the colder room and the teenage girls all slept upstairs in the loft where it was warmest. Those who like it cooler when they sleep should be on the main level. It worked out perfectly for everyone in our group! Tip: if you’re planning to ski during the holiday season, get there no later than 8am or you’ll be stuck in lines all day. Don’t even bother trying to tube on Sugar Mountain, we waited hours for tickets and they sold out every session in about 15 minutes. Go online in advance of your trip and reserve tubing tickets at Hawks Nest or Beech Mountain instead.

Good clean place. Road up to it is a little steep so if there is any sort of winter weather, 4-wheel drive may be necessary. Our Honda Odyssey was able to make it up and down with no problem in the middle of June, for what that’s worth. No true master bedroom but plenty of space spread out over 3 levels. Gas cooking appliances, including the grill, was a major plus.
