We had a wonderful time staying at the Modern Cliffhouse! It is a gorgeous place with lots of space for your group. And you can’t beat the view! Sharyn was very helpful and communicative the entire time we were there.

The Cliff House in Brookings, while visiting the Redwoods and Oregon coast was an excellent base for our adult family of 6. It was wonderful to wake up to the ocean views and come home and relax oceanside by the firepit. The accommodations were well kept, all of the beds were very comfortable, and the showers were amazing. The kitchen had all of the utensils we needed. The host even left us a bottle of wine! If you get a chance to rent this home, don't pass it up.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The view of the ocean from the main house is absolutely beautiful, and its location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The casita was cute and comfortable, and the main house was easily large enough to hold our 10-person group comfortably for all our meals and evening gatherings. There was plenty of parking for groups that might be coming in separate vehicles. Loved the outdoor space overlooking the ocean,

Great property with great views of the Pacific Ocean. Spacious house with all the amenities. Added bonuses: we saw whales and a mother deer with two fawns. Lots of birds to see. Close to the Redwoods and plenty of beaches.

The rooms were all roomy and well kept, the view was incredible and unbeatable, kitchen had everything needed. We had a beautiful stay celebrating our wedding, it was perfect. We would love to come back!

Stayed here with some friends and family and we loved it! Great location to drinks and food and the view was unbeatable! Sharyon was also great to work with!!

Stunning views

We stayed here with our family of 6 six kids, ranging from 1-14 and our friends with kids 10-16. The house was so nice, it was peaceful to sit outside watch the ocean and listen to the waves.

Great house and casita to accommodate our family of 7 adults and 5 children. So easy to drive the 5 minute trip to Harris state beach! Excellent sunset patio during cocktail hour!

Excellent house and experience

The house was perfect for our large party, and everyone had their own space (if needed). We had a nice whale out back that entertained us most days. This house and the surrounding areas were just what our extended family needed. Would 100% recommend without hestiation!

Breathtaking Viewe

The house was spectacular and every bedroom had a gorgeous view of the ocean in the main house. The house was also equipped with every appliance and gadget you would need to cook with. Sharyn was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. I highly recommend this property.

Very Comfortable with Fantastic Views!

The house was the perfect size for our family. The kitchen was very well equipped and everyone loved the beds and bedding. We all slept well and everything we needed was supplied. The owner was very responsive to my questions during the stay and the location was very central to everything we wanted to do. We saw whales the first day from the patio! They returned several times during our stay, which was exciting for all of us. The views and the sunsets amazed us every day! A few of us had severe seasonal allergies that we didn’t anticipate, and the house does not have central air, so keep that in mind if you have them. All-in-all one of our favorites - and we have rented VRBO homes in many places, including outside the US.

Gorgeous view

Pluses: wow the view! Great hot water, good beds, kitchen has everything you need. Great communication with host Minuses- the acoustics are a problem. They removed the carpets fairly recently, and the sound bounces horribly. Like you can’t chat with someone in the loft or kitchen without making it impossible to talk in the living room. Maybe some wall hangings would help?The bedrooms have no dressers or shelves- just luggage stands and closets wjth hangersThe ovens either don’t work or are too complex to figure out how to work them.

Thanks so much, Kate. For the oven, it is important to use regular oven mode- not “timed cook.” We had both the property manager and housekeeping crew test the oven and it is working fine. We do plan to add custom closets this fall that will include drawers. Thank you for the constructive feedback.

Sufficient Space for 12 People!

The property management could be a little more professional but they were responsive and responded to concerns/issues in a timely manner. When asked if pets could come, instead of a simple no, a threatening email was sent warning about cameras. That is unprofessional to assume someone will break a rule after a question is asked if it is a rule or not. The windows were dirty post stormy weather and Immediate cleaning service was requested. Instead of expressing concern or apologizing for a bad first impression, we were patronized for asking. The management representative explained to us what stormy weather does to windows and made excuses. The explanation was unprofessional and unecessary. If you are managing an ocean view, the first thing that should be done after a storm is to manage (check for damage, dirty windows, etc), not patronize the guests for requesting the management group to perform their due diligence. As one who manages a VRBO, this is feedback that is meant to help. The home itself was well stocked with essentials and made for a pleasant stay. The overall experience was fantastic for all of the guests. I would recommend this home to a large group.

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay at this beautiful ocean front property. The windows are cleaned on a regular schedule and unfortunately the night before you arrrived a huge storm blew through. And yes we have a very strong no pet policy at this gorgeous home.

Cliff House Stay

Overall a wonderful place to stay. Cleaning staff could have done a better job on main house refrigerator, wine cooler and washer and dryer tops. Also, there is apparently no recycling for bottles, cans and paper products which seems odd. We would definitely stay here again.

Best vacation home

We brought our expanded family together to stay at this beautiful home. It had a lot of room, incredible views, and was a beautiful home. We walked to the beach, went to the monthly art walk, and sat in the back yard staring at the waves. I would come back again. I loved the town and the house. Thank you.
