We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. It was everything as advertised. Beautiful cottage and property. Check in was simple. As noted in the description, kitchen was small but very well equipped. Great place to get plenty of R&R. From the swing by the river, fire pit, river access, it was all beautiful. Plenty of deer everywhere. Thank you!

Family Get Away

Great place to get away and relax while listening to the sounds of the river. House was very clean and cozy. Short drives (20 minutes) to Helen and Cleveland. Overall very satisfied with our stay.

Amazing Relaxing Stay

This is such a gorgeous property, even better than the photos show. The house was spotless. Beautifully clean. The rooms were much larger than anticipated or than they look in the photos. We were surprised. There were so many notes about restaurants they recommend and things to do. Not to mention all the little things like washcloths specifically for removing makeup, extra garbage bags and toilet paper. If you VRBO often, you know this is rare and so nice of the owners. We loved the fireplace and had it on often. The hot tub was clean and comfortable with the most amazing view. It’s like being in a Bob Ross painting. Unreal gorgeous. My favorite spot was the swing down by the river. I spent hours there just immersed in nature. No cell phone signal here which we loved. There is great high speed WiFi and a Roku TV so we had everything we wanted to watch available, not that it was turned on often. Set your phone to WiFi calling, or don’t and enjoy the quiet. We had deer on the propery every morning just like the listing says. Most evenings too. So much to do within 30 mins but this is just far enough away and secluded enough to not be immersed in the chaos of Oktoberfest. We loved every minute of being here and hope to stay again soon!

Great river getaway

This property is at the end of the road and has a perfect cottage feel. We kayaked up the river with our kids and cooked meals and spent time together as a family. It was wonderful! We also recommend Mully's Nacoochee Grill!

Even Better Than The Listing!!

This cabin was everything we expected and more!!! It successfully calmed our busy lives and allowed us to be remote during Christmas week and focus solely on our kiddos. They loved every minute of it! Though it was chilly, we regularly sat on the back porch to listen to the water and see the deer. We were also fortunate to see a beautiful bald eagle fly down the river on several occasions as it searched for fish. The drive was very simple. Our 2WD SUV had no problem getting to and from the cabin at all times. It is centrally located to Helen and Cleveland, and Dahlonega is not too much further. The hosts were very kind and responsive when needed. They also provided a ton of resources in the cabin to help plan our adventures, from free local excursions to an extensive list of local restaurants. We would love to stay in this cabin again one day, and we highly recommend it! You won’t be disappointed!

Thanksgiving in Helen

Lovely home at end of quiet road. River front, peaceful. About 15-20 minute drive to Helen (a bit longer on day of festival lighting of the town). Close to hiking, interesting shops along way into town. Google map app took us right to property and property owner also made sure we had accurate directions. Immensely enjoyed our stay

Fishing was slow….river to low!,

Great cabin/house at the end of the road…very private, quiet, comfortable, well equipped and we will definitely be back for a visit when we can! It’s as if we had a second home in the mountains on the river……this is what it would be! Owners great and 4 houses away….

The best trip we have had in years.

The location is perfect. Close to Helen. Very Peaceful on the river. The leaves were beautiful fall colors. The fire pit is awesome, hot tub relaxing and clean. Fireplace was nice & calming at night. The cottage had everything we needed. Instructions provided and information provided on places to see and eat. Deer right at the back door. Turkeys walking in the morning by the river. Beds & bedding were comfy. We really enjoyed staying here.

Secluded serenity!

My husband and I stayed at Nana’s cottage with another couple. To say we were blown away is an understatement. This spot is at the very end of a gravel road and has privacy galore. It is quiet and peaceful and you can hear the river from the back porch. It was immaculately clean inside and outside (hot tub is spotless!). Very close to great restaurants while being blissfully silent. The layout is perfect for two couples with one bedroom/bathroom upstairs and one downstairs. We will be back and highly recommend

Cottage on the Chatahoochee

Overall, very enjoyable stay. The property is 12 miles away from Helen, GA, no closer. The cottage is “rustic” and seems smaller than the photos indicated - the value of a good photographer using angles! It would have been a more comfortable stay if there were one or two comfortable chairs in living room area, perhaps a recliner or two. It was a good-sized cottage for two people. Even with two bedrooms, four people would be running into each other. Don’t see how six people could sleep and stay there! Owner was helpful when called upon. A clearer description of getting to the location would be helpful.

Great getaway

Spent the weekend here for a workshop. Easy access to Helen. Nice to have activities at the home to entertain so you could just be there cs having to go out.

NaNa’s cottage

The cottage was great. Had everthing we needed and the location was good. We enjoyed listening to the river in the evenings after returning from a day of hiking to see the sights in the area. We did manage to get in a game of horseshoes and kayaking. Just didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted to do.

Beautiful and relaxing cottage!

We had an amazing time at Nana’s cottage. We floated on the Chattahoochee and then caught some fish. The property is very quiet and secluded however, very convenient to everything. The host was great and we definitely will be staying again! A++
