Very spacious, comfortable and well equipped apartment, we loved the furniture and the art work. Check in was smooth, Carlotta kindly waited for us to hand us the keys despite our flight being delayed. The location is central and all the main sites and many restaurants are only a short walk away.

This was a lovely spacious apartment in a great location. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, restaurants and coffee right across the street, perfect! The apartment was clean and the beds were comfy. We had a great stay and would recommend the apartment.

This spacious apartment is well located within the university area and an easy 10-15 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. The strip of restaurants and bars directly in front of the building is convenient, if a bit loud on weekend nights. The apartment furnishings are antique. The host accommodated an early check-in for us which was helpful, and the building has an elevator making the upper floor apartment accessible.

This is a wonderful apartment with an elevator. The location is amazing, with great restaurants right across the street! The host is friendly and accommodating. We can not wait for our third trip to this lovely apartment!

My overall rating is positive for seasoned travelers who are looking for space, comfort, safe, value and want a living not just being experience. As stated in other reviews its in a student section of bologna. Noise descriptions are accurate and manageable. We were there in april. The basics are there but require ingenuity in the kitchen. Tall ceilings and fans work well. Nice morning light, comfortable bed and chairs, food shopping and restaurants are close easy walk to two center and convenient bus service. The historical aspect of the previous owner adorns all aspects of the decore and worth exploring from the art work, to books and the accolades on the office wall. All impressive. Very responsive managers.Could be cleaner but it an apartment that is locked in my traveler memories as a positive experience.

perfectly located antiquefilled family apartment

a huge family place in the thriving university district. on a fun crowded piazza, but the main bedroom is on the back and very quiet. beautifully set up for guests, but authentic to a life in wonderful bologna. i cant recommend it more.

Lovely Stay in Historic Bologna

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in the heart of historic Bologna. The location was close to restaurants, shopping and major sights in the city. The apartment itself was charming, filled with art and furniture that were truly Italian. Our flight came in past midnight but Paolo went the extra mile to be there to greet us. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I Can't Imagine A More Ideal Place to Stay

The location is so central and so fun; you can walk everywhere you might want to go, including right across the street for wonderful food, coffee, people-watching and atmosphere. The huge, antique-filled apartment is fit for for a movie setting. EVERYTHING you could possibly need is there. It truly couldn't be more perfect.

Spacious and elegant apartment

My wife and i really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It felt like a much-loved home. It was a little dated in some respects (bathroom and kitchen) but this added to its natural charm for us. Also, while there was noise into some rooms from the busy piazza outside, it offered a sense of vibrancy to our stay, and connection to Bologna. We especially loved the size of the apartment, perfect for a longer stay of 16 nights. We hope to return as soon as possible. Thank you!

Beautiful Apartment in a Lively Neighborhood

This beautiful, spacious, classical Italian style property was the perfect landing spot for our first week in Bologna. On the third floor, ovelooking cafes, wine bars and a vital social scene in the center of University life, we still enjoyed a good night’s sleep in the quiet back bedroom. Then down the elevator and out the front door, we could make our first stop at the cafe just across the street, then head out on foot in any direction to explore this interesting and beautiful city.

Tuscan living

My wife and I rented this apartment for 12 days to get some idea of what it would feel like to live in Montepulciano. It was a great experience. There is no elevator to this 3rd floor apartment, but it has good air conditioning. The apartment is spacious for two people, with simple furnishings and decorations, that were everything we needed for our stay. The location is ideal, with parking a short walk away.

Our college-aged choristers were stunned at the beautiful rooms and furnishings of La Symphonia, your apartment is aptly named! ... I rather expected we would each be very pleased and we are! Carlotta was so gracious; she actually welcomed us from the living room window when we arrived. Of course the weather today after the rain, is perfect: but cross-ventilation assisted by fans everywhere will be sufficient, and reminds me of childhood summers. Ten-foot ceilings, large windows, a taxi stand out front, two nearby grocers, a pharmacy and trattoria complete the amenities!

We spent five days at this wonderful property. It is like living in an old world palace. Marble and wood floors, antique furniture, and a huge floorplan. The bedroom is very quiet, though the office space is a bit louder, given the square and cafes where students congregate. We enjoyed the street sounds at night; bring earplugs for the office area if you want complete silence. The location is fantastic, and one of the things we always look for in a property… restaurants, bars, markets all within an easy walk. We would love to stay here again.

Wonderful 18th Century apt w/modern conveniences!

Large, charming apartment in Quadrilatero, near University. Lovely classics period furniture. We felt we were staying at Nonna’s house. Original paintings on every wall. On bus & taxi line. Great for walking and eating. Lively piazza. Highlite for us was taxiing up to San Luca Sanctuary and walking Down the 2.4 miles of porticos.

We enjoyed viewing a protest against racism Saturday morning and runners participating in a 25K event in the afternoon The evening was interesting also with people enjoying the cafés and outside seating. Magical taste of authentic vintage Bologna

This apartment is magical, felt like stepping back in time with everything dating back to the 60s and earlier. Super spacious. So many amazing antiques and art made by the previous owners so it felt like being in another world. The location is brilliant, great bars and restaurants in the Piazza it's located in. You can also be right in the centre of town in about 8 mins walk, walking everywhere is a dream. Piazza can get noisy at the weekends (nothing earplugs wont fix if you are a light sleeper) but small trade off for the amazing location and one of kind apartment. Thank you for sharing this very special space with us.

Great...Unless It Is Warm Outisde

The property is really unique and spacious. Very close to everything. But, if it's over 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the apartment is sweltering, even with the windows open. The square below is very loud all night with college students so sleeping with the windows open is useless. The fans do not do much to cool things down. We did not sleep while staying there and left.a day early because it.was going to be 90 degrees outside. I became ill.from the heat. This apartment should not be rented after May until fall.

We are working on AC issue. In accordance with the Historic Sites Preservation Authority, we cannot hang bulky AC external units on the façade, nor dispose pipes running along the walls on view. Our aim is to comply with the laws for the protection of historic and artistic heritage and environment. Therefore, from our experience, let’s say that many tourists have a different perception of what is a comfortable temperature. Too often, they set the lowest temperature on AC, and leave it nights and days unvaried even with acceptable temperatures. Such behavior is an unsustainable waste of energy and economic resources at our latitude. For an ecologic approach to environment, we are planning to install an AC plant working only under a certain room temperature. Let’s say that the host who wrote this review offers an understandable piqued but publicly misleading suggestion: in June the external average temperature ranges from 20 to 25 °C (68-75 °F), in Italy, it would be an unsustainable waste of energy to pretend lower temperatures! Anyway, it is true: in mid-June, July and August, temperature may be, unfortunately, very high! Next AC installation will also solve the students noise problem: windows can be kept closed. Nowadays, our guests, considering our current excellent quality-price ratio, can decide to visit us already knowing that there is not AC, that people take relaxing moments after dinner time in the square …and that it is not forbidden to enjoy leisure time with them.
