Place and owner to avoid
Hello,
Here is a glimpse of our stay which was very unpleasant.
Cleanliness of the premises:
Upon our arrival we found that several utensils, pots and other kitchen accessories
were encrusted with leftover food, dirty and sticky.
A smell of mouse urine reigns in the cabinets.
In the rooms, the blinds and curtains are dirty dusty and the rods to turn the blinds in question all sticky.
Washrooms were not clean (see photo)
The bowl was stained with you know what all over the sides as if it hadn’t been scrubbed for months… The shower doors were clogged with an opaque, white film.
The air return vents are dirty (you can see blackish traces on the ceiling).
Interaction with the owner:
After informing the owner of the situation, he proposed to come and clean up.
Can you imagine he came 2 times!
The first time he washed only the bowl.
He sent us an email telling us that he had “scrubbed” for hour and that the toilet and shower doors were clean.
But we found that he didn’t touch the dirty shower doors.
We sent him a photo proving it.
After telling him that he had not washed the doors, he said that he “forgot” whether he washed them or not…really!
He came back but still hasn’t washed.
Re-sending of the photo.
He was not happy, and he sent a maintenance employee at the location.
This employee stayed at our rental location for 2 hours.
That is how long it took to remove all the substances that fouled the doors.
Two weeks later this owner came knocking and ringing at the door of the rental place where we were.
He wanted to know if we were ‘ok’ but also want to know when we would leave at the end of the rental.
He told us that his housekeeper was only available at 9:00 am…
We were supposed (pas certaine si suppose) to leave at 12:00.
We did not like to be disturbed and we sent him an email telling him not to come and disturb us unless there were major problems and that we would leave according to the terms stipulated in the contract.
So he threatened to come with the police so that we need to leave a week before the agreed date on the said contract and told us that he was not going to pay for the days lost for us
After discussion with VRBO, the company confirmed that this was not true, that our rental ended on time
After discussions with the police in that county, it was false that he could run in and “oust us out”.
Obviously this person has lied to us, threathen us because he felt frustrated..would write more but platform limits.
